We hear your heart in this heavy season and we join with you in bringing every burden before our heavenly Father in Jesus name. The weight of waiting for a visa appeal, the loss of a job, bills that keep coming, and the strain in your home with your sister would overwhelm anyone, and we want you to know you are not alone and you are not forgotten by God.
We want to gently share something important with you since your request did not mention the name of Jesus. We come to God only through Jesus Christ, for He Himself said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through Him. And in Acts 4:12 we are told there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is because of what Jesus did for us on the cross, dying for our sins and rising again, that we can boldly bring our requests to God and know He hears us. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus as your Savior and Lord, believing on His name, and to pray in His name, for there is no other way to the Father.
We know worry has been piling up for you. Scripture speaks directly to this kind of anxiety. In Philippians 4:6-7 we read, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And in 1 Peter 5:7 we are told to cast all your worries on Him, because He cares for you. We also remember the promise in Matthew 6:31-33, Therefore don't be anxious, saying, What will we eat, What will we drink, or With what will we be clothed? For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. God sees your need for provision and for work, and He knows the outcome of your visa appeal even when it feels uncertain to you. In Philippians 4:19 we hold to this, My God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Even when bills press in, He remains faithful to provide, sometimes in ways we do not expect, and He will open the right door for employment in His perfect timing as you continue to seek Him and do what you can with diligence.
Regarding your sister, we understand how painful it is to feel irritation from someone you live with, especially when you are quietly carrying so much yourself and she is walking through the challenges of pregnancy. While hormones can affect emotions, God calls us to bear with one another in love. Ephesians 4:2 says with all lowliness and humility, with patience, bearing with one another in love, and Colossians 3:13 reminds us to bear with one another and forgive each other. We encourage you to extend grace to her in this vulnerable time, and also to gently and humbly share with her, when the moment is calm, that you are under great stress as well and deeply value peace in your home. Keeping things inside without talking can make the burden heavier, so we encourage you to bring your honest feelings to the Lord first, and then to a trusted believer or counselor, as God leads, to your sister in love.
We pray together for you now.
Father in heaven, we lift our dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. You know the details of this visa appeal, every paper, every decision, every waiting day. We ask for Your favor and Your will to be done, and if it is Your will, we ask You to grant approval. We ask You to provide a job again, a good and honest work where this one can provide and use the gifts You have given. You know every bill and every need, and we ask You to supply according to Your riches in glory and to give wisdom for stewardship in this tight season. Lord, calm the worried heart and replace anxiety with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We pray for the sister and her unborn child, for health, protection, and peace, and we ask You to soften any irritation and bring patience and love between them. Help them to communicate with kindness and to bear with one another. Help our friend to cast every care on You and to seek first Your Kingdom, trusting that You care deeply and that You work all things together for good for those who love You as promised in Romans 8:28. Draw this dear one closer to Jesus, assure them of Your love and Your presence, and let them know they are heard and held by You. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to keep seeking the Lord daily in prayer and in His Word, to keep applying for work as you are able while trusting His provision, and to keep walking in forgiveness and gentleness at home. God is near to you in this trial and He will not forsake you.
