Prayer for Visa Approval and Having a Job again

Kyraeshire

Disciple of Prayer
Please help me pray that my visa will be approved. It is currently in appeal and the stress has been pilling-up knowing I don't have a job goes with it and bills don't stop. I am always worried. My sister who's pregnant seems to have always been irritated with me without no apparent reason. I understand hormones has been a huge part of it but i too am going through a lot which I don't talk out loud. Please Pray for me. -###

We hear your heart in this heavy season and we join with you in bringing every burden before our heavenly Father in Jesus name. The weight of waiting for a visa appeal, the loss of a job, bills that keep coming, and the strain in your home with your sister would overwhelm anyone, and we want you to know you are not alone and you are not forgotten by God.

We want to gently share something important with you since your request did not mention the name of Jesus. We come to God only through Jesus Christ, for He Himself said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through Him. And in Acts 4:12 we are told there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is because of what Jesus did for us on the cross, dying for our sins and rising again, that we can boldly bring our requests to God and know He hears us. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus as your Savior and Lord, believing on His name, and to pray in His name, for there is no other way to the Father.

We know worry has been piling up for you. Scripture speaks directly to this kind of anxiety. In Philippians 4:6-7 we read, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And in 1 Peter 5:7 we are told to cast all your worries on Him, because He cares for you. We also remember the promise in Matthew 6:31-33, Therefore don't be anxious, saying, What will we eat, What will we drink, or With what will we be clothed? For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. God sees your need for provision and for work, and He knows the outcome of your visa appeal even when it feels uncertain to you. In Philippians 4:19 we hold to this, My God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Even when bills press in, He remains faithful to provide, sometimes in ways we do not expect, and He will open the right door for employment in His perfect timing as you continue to seek Him and do what you can with diligence.

Regarding your sister, we understand how painful it is to feel irritation from someone you live with, especially when you are quietly carrying so much yourself and she is walking through the challenges of pregnancy. While hormones can affect emotions, God calls us to bear with one another in love. Ephesians 4:2 says with all lowliness and humility, with patience, bearing with one another in love, and Colossians 3:13 reminds us to bear with one another and forgive each other. We encourage you to extend grace to her in this vulnerable time, and also to gently and humbly share with her, when the moment is calm, that you are under great stress as well and deeply value peace in your home. Keeping things inside without talking can make the burden heavier, so we encourage you to bring your honest feelings to the Lord first, and then to a trusted believer or counselor, as God leads, to your sister in love.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we lift our dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. You know the details of this visa appeal, every paper, every decision, every waiting day. We ask for Your favor and Your will to be done, and if it is Your will, we ask You to grant approval. We ask You to provide a job again, a good and honest work where this one can provide and use the gifts You have given. You know every bill and every need, and we ask You to supply according to Your riches in glory and to give wisdom for stewardship in this tight season. Lord, calm the worried heart and replace anxiety with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We pray for the sister and her unborn child, for health, protection, and peace, and we ask You to soften any irritation and bring patience and love between them. Help them to communicate with kindness and to bear with one another. Help our friend to cast every care on You and to seek first Your Kingdom, trusting that You care deeply and that You work all things together for good for those who love You as promised in Romans 8:28. Draw this dear one closer to Jesus, assure them of Your love and Your presence, and let them know they are heard and held by You. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to keep seeking the Lord daily in prayer and in His Word, to keep applying for work as you are able while trusting His provision, and to keep walking in forgiveness and gentleness at home. God is near to you in this trial and He will not forsake you.

We read your message and we hear how heavy this season has felt. Waiting on a visa appeal with no clear timeline, being out of work, and watching bills keep coming would weigh on anyone. It makes sense you feel worried so much of the time, and even more so when home feels tense with your pregnant sister while you are quietly carrying a lot yourself.

When so much is uncertain at once, our minds often stack every what if on top of what is already real. The appeal and the job search are real pressures today, and the thoughts about what might happen next can pile on even more weight. Naming what is actually in front of you for today can sometimes make the load a little less overwhelming.

We want to keep praying with you and also walk with you in practical ways. If you are able, keep all your appeal papers, dates and correspondence together in one place, and ask a trusted immigration adviser or legal aid clinic to review where things stand so you are not trying to guess alone. For work and finances, try to name the most urgent pressure point this month and reach out to a local job center, community agency, or your church for guidance on next steps. And since you mentioned you do not talk out loud about what you are going through, would you consider sharing honestly with one safe person this week, a pastor, counselor or trusted friend, so you are not carrying this alone inside. If worry is affecting your sleep or daily life, please also consider talking with a doctor or counselor alongside prayer.

Father, we lift our brother to You in Jesus' name. You see his need for provision, for wisdom in this appeal, and for peace at home. Give him clear next steps, open the right door for work in Your timing, and surround him with people who will listen and support him. Quiet his constant worry and remind him he is not alone. Amen.

We have heard your cry in this season of waiting and want, and we do not lightly pass it by but would sit down and weep in sympathy with you in this kindred anxiety.

Our Saviour gives this loving injunction, Do not be anxious about your temporal affairs. Be prudent and do what lies before you to do honestly before God and man. But when you have done your best with your little, do not worry because you cannot make it more, and when you have done your best to meet your expenses, do not sit down and wring your hands because you cannot lessen them. Have you not found that the very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. You are much troubled up and down in your thoughts, and in such a worry and turmoil you lack wisdom.

Therefore hear the promise, If any of you lack wisdom let him ask of God who gives to all liberally. Even out of the depths if you cry unto Him He will be pleased to instruct you and bring you out into a safe way. Cast this burden of the visa appeal, the want of work, and the daily pressure of bills upon the Lord who knows your need and numbers your days. He who clothes the lilies and feeds the sparrows will not forget you.

We will pray for you, that the Lord in His providence would rule over the appeal according to His wise and good will, and open a door for honest labour by which you may provide for your needs and walk prudently. We will pray that He would quiet your heart and keep you from fretfulness and distress, giving you peace as you trust Him day by day. We will pray also for your sister in her present condition, that the Lord would give you both patience and tenderness toward one another, and help you to forbear in love while you each carry a different but heavy burden, yours in silence and hers in the trial of her body.

Let us pray together. O gracious Father, look upon this weary child of Thine who waits for favour from those in authority and for daily bread. Forgive sin and give faith in Jesus Christ Thy Son, through whom alone is salvation. Grant wisdom, supply need according to Thy riches, calm fearful thoughts, and let Thy will be done in the matter of the visa and of work. Give grace to love and to be loved at home, and let all these trials draw the heart nearer to Christ. In His name we ask it. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
