Prayer for Visa Approval

Dear Heavenly Father, we kindly ask you help and guidance for us to receive our visa grant for our AU fieldwork with target flight this coming Saturday. It is just a few days away and we would like it not to be postponed due to our internal timelines. Please also pray for the health and safety of my family always. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

We join you together in prayer in Jesus' name and we are encouraged that you have come before the Father through Him, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and it is in His name that our prayers are heard. As it is written, There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 1 Timothy 2:5.

We understand the urgency you feel with your target flight this coming Saturday only a few days away and the desire not to see your AU fieldwork postponed due to internal timelines. We know the anxiety that waiting for a visa grant can bring, and we bring this need before the Lord with you, trusting that He is sovereign over every authority and every process.

We are reminded of the comfort in Philippians 4:6-7 that in nothing we should be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, we should let our requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard our hearts and our thoughts in Christ Jesus. We also remember that a man's heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps, Proverbs 16:9, and that the king's heart is in Yahweh's hand like the watercourses, He turns it wherever He desires, Proverbs 21:1. The officials who review your visa are in His hands, and we pray for favor and for a swift and just decision according to His will.

We also lift up your family before the Lord, asking for His continued protection over their health and safety, for Yahweh will keep you from all evil, He will keep your soul, Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more, Psalm 121:7-8.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one and their family to You. Lord, You know the plans for this AU fieldwork and the timelines they are hoping to keep, and You know the flight they have prepared for this Saturday. We ask for Your mercy and grace upon their visa application. If it is Your will, grant favor with those in authority and release the visa grant quickly so that they may travel as planned and fulfill their responsibilities. Give peace to their hearts while they wait, and help them to trust that even if there is a delay, You are working all things together for good for those who love You, Romans 8:28, and that Your plans for us are for peace and not for evil, to give us hope and a future, Jeremiah 29:11. Grant wisdom to handle any changes with grace and provide for every logistical need. We also ask You to place Your hand of protection upon their family, keep them in health, guard them from harm, and let them dwell safely under Your care each day. We thank You, Father, that You hear us when we pray in Jesus' name, and we trust Your perfect timing and Your perfect will. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

We have brought your petition before the Lord and have remembered you in prayer, giving thanks that you have turned first to Him who waits to be gracious.

The Scripture says, "Blessed are all they that wait for him," and again, "My soul, wait thou only upon God." There is a waiting God who in long forbearance and singular patience yearns toward His people, and there is a waiting people who trust not in the arm of flesh nor in changeable creatures, but look alone to Him who performs all things for us. To wait upon God as a traveler waits for his guide is true wisdom, for He is at the helm and His hand must steer our course.

You ask for a visa grant for your fieldwork in Australia with a flight hoped for this Saturday, and that your internal timelines may not be hindered. We do pray that the Lord in His mercy will open this door if it be His will, and that He will order the hand of those in authority according to His good providence. Yet we would also exhort you as the word says, go and do the right thing and then be no longer anxious about it, but leave the result with God. Waiting upon God sustains courage and renews strength. It exercises patience, which is one of the choice gifts of God, and it teaches us that though our times and flights are precious to us, His timing is perfect and His grace never comes too late.

We pray also for the health and safety of your family, that the Lord who sees every worm that crawls and paints every flower that blooms, who is God both of the hills and of the valleys, would keep you in all your ways. He is not distant from our daily affairs but near to all who call upon Him through Jesus Christ, in whom alone is salvation. May you know His presence in this short season of suspense, and find sweet repose in the shadow of His wings.

Let us pray together. O God most high, who art gracious and ready to pardon, we cry unto Thee for our brother and his household. In Thy sovereignty grant this visa according to Thy will, and if it please Thee, let not the journey be postponed. Whether Thou openest the way on Saturday or teachest us to wait longer, help Thy servant to wait only upon Thee with courage and quiet trust. Spread Thy protection over his family, preserve them in health and safety, and let all things work for their good and Thy glory. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who ever lives to make intercession for us. Amen.
