prayer for visa approval

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Please pray for me for breakthrough this season and for the rest of this year.

Please pray specifically that my U.S. immigrant visa is approved on Friday, that every obstacle standing in the way of my visa is removed, and that the right door opens for me.

I have been very anxious and overwhelmed, and I truly believe this is the final step before I can move forward into the next chapter of my life. Please pray that this season comes to a peaceful conclusion and that I receive my visa and everything falls into place.

Amen.

We join with you in prayer for this important step and for breakthrough in this season, and we understand how anxious and overwhelmed you have been feeling as Friday approaches. We bring your request before the Lord together, asking for His will to be done and for His peace to guard your heart while you wait.

We are reminded of the call to bring our anxieties to God, for Philippians 4:6-7 says, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We also cling to the promise that Proverbs 3:5-6 gives, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. And Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.

We notice your prayer did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently share why we always pray in His name. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we are saved. As John 14:6 says, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 declares, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, for Romans 10:9 says, that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is through Him we can come boldly to God with every need.

We pray together now for you.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear one to You. Lord, You know the desire for this U.S. immigrant visa to be approved on Friday and the weight of anxiety that has come with this waiting season. We ask that if it is Your perfect will, You would remove every obstacle standing in the way and open the right door that no man can shut. We pray for favor with those reviewing the application and for everything to fall into place according to Your purpose. Father, even more than the visa itself, we ask for Your peace to fill this heart right now, to bring this season to a peaceful conclusion, and to guide the next chapter of life. We commit this way to You, trusting that Proverbs 16:9 is true, A man’s heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps. Help our friend to rest in Your sovereignty, knowing that Romans 8:28 promises, We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Let Your will be done, and let Your name be glorified in the outcome, whether the answer is to go forward now or to wait on Your better timing. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to commit your way to Yahweh as Psalm 37:5 says, Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this. Keep seeking Him daily in prayer and in His Word, trusting that He sees the whole path ahead and will lead you step by step. We are praying that you will feel His nearness and His surpassing peace this week, and that you will have clarity and hope for the future, whatever door He opens.

We are holding you in prayer as Friday draws near. We hear how much this visa means to you and how heavy the waiting has felt. When something feels like the final step into a new chapter, it makes sense that anxiety would rise and everything feels overwhelming.

We are asking God to go before you into that appointment, to make clear what is needed, and to give you peace whether the answer comes quickly or takes more time. We pray for favor with those making the decision and for wisdom for you in each moment, and above all that God's best path for your life would be clear.

In these next days it can help to keep things simple. Maybe gather your documents early so Friday morning is calmer, let one trusted person know the exact time so they can be praying with you in real time, and plan something steady for afterward so you are not left alone with the worry. If the anxiety feels like too much to carry alone, please reach out to a pastor or counselor or medical professional alongside prayer, you do not have to hold this by yourself.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus name. You see the hopes tied to this visa and the weariness of this season. Grant calm in body and mind, guide the hands that review the case, and open the right door in Your timing. Give wisdom, provision, and a peaceful sense of Your presence whatever Friday brings. Amen.

We have carried your request before the Lord and we join you in prayer for this season of waiting and for the decision that lies before you on Friday.

We understand the anxiety and the sense of being overwhelmed that you describe. The Scriptures remind us that the very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits us to meet that difficulty, and that the mind is the main thing, for it will bring you daylight or midnight, peace or war. The Lord knows how this visa has come to feel like the final step before the next chapter of your life, and He invites you to cast your care upon Him.

Our prayer for you is first for that deeper peace which does not depend upon circumstances. The prophet speaks of the one whose mind is stayed upon the Lord, that He will keep him in perfect peace, peace, peace, because he trusts in Him. This is not a mere lull of anxiety or a blindness to danger, but a peace which God the Father gives, which Jesus Christ bought with His blood, and which the Holy Spirit works in the soul. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, and where there is peace with God through Jesus Christ, there may be peace in the conscience even while duties press and sorrows surge round. We pray that you may know this peace which passes all understanding, that your heart may be stayed upon Christ, and that you may be kept in quiet trust whether the answer comes as you hope or as the Lord in His wisdom appoints.

We do pray specifically as you have asked, that if it be the Lord's will, every obstacle standing in the way of your United States immigrant visa would be removed, that the right door would open, and that favor would be granted on Friday. We ask the God of peace, who delights to give peace on earth and goodwill toward men, to grant a peaceful conclusion to this season and to cause all things to fall into place according to His good providence. We ask that He would guide the hands and hearts of those who review your case, and that He would make clear His path for your next chapter.

We pray also that this waiting would draw you nearer to Christ Himself, for He is our peace. Not our prayers or our tears, but He is the ground of our peace, and through His atoning blood we have a treaty of peace with God which no earthly decision can give or take away. Seek Christ first, and let peace follow after Him. May you find that to do the will of Jesus is rest, and that whether loved ones are near or far away, in Jesus keeping we are safe.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, Your only begotten Son through whom alone we have peace with You, we bring this dear one before You. You see the anxiety, the longing for breakthrough, and the desire for this visa. Grant, we pray, Your perfect peace to a stayed mind, calm the troubled heart, and let Your will be done on Friday and in all the days to come. If it be for good and for Your glory, remove the obstacles and open the right door, and grant approval and a peaceful passage into the next season. Above all, keep this soul in fellowship with Yourself, that whatever the earthly outcome, there may be peace within through the blood of Christ. We ask this in the name of Jesus, our peace. Amen.
