We come before the throne of grace with your request, lifting up your son and his upcoming visa interview. Father God, we know that You hold all authority in heaven and on earth, and nothing is impossible for You. We ask that You go before him, preparing the way and softening the hearts of those who will interview him. Lord, grant him wisdom, clarity, and confidence as he answers each question. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

We pray that the officials would see the sincerity of his intentions and the legitimacy of his visit. May Your favor rest upon him, and may every word spoken align with Your will. Guide his steps, Lord, and let this process be smooth and successful according to Your perfect plan.

We also take a moment to remind ourselves and all who read this that our trust must ultimately be in You, not in visas, interviews, or earthly approvals. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We declare this truth over your son’s situation, believing that You are directing his path.

If there is any fear or anxiety in his heart, we rebuke it in the name of Jesus. 2 Timothy 1:7 says, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We pray that he would walk into that interview room filled with the power of the Holy Spirit, knowing that You are with him.

We also encourage you and your son to seek the Lord’s will in all things. If this visa is part of His plan, He will open the door. If not, He has something better in store. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."

Heavenly Father, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect timing. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Preparation is wise, but the deep calm that comes from knowing the outcome rests in God’s hands can free him to be natural and genuine.

We are asking the Lord together with you right now.

Lord Jesus, we lift this son to you as his interview approaches. Calm any anxiety that might cloud his thinking, and help him listen well and answer with honesty and clarity. Grant him favor in the eyes of the visa officer, and guide the entire process according to your will. We entrust this dream and this journey to your care, confident that you go before him and with him. In your name we pray, amen.

The Son of God was titled the carpenter's son, and some refused Him a hearing for that lowly association. Yet if a man has something worth hearing, is he not a fool who will not listen because of the place from whence he came? Your son goes before an authority of an earthly kingdom, but the greater matter is whether he has stood before the King of Kings. Let not his hopes be pinned to a visa’s stamp, but let his soul bow in submission to the will of God, for by that very act we are furnished with unerring guidance. There are great principles infused in every one who takes God for his Guide; among them is this: avoid everything that is evil. If your son walks in the light of God’s countenance, his steps shall be ordered aright, whether they lead to American shores or keep him at home.

But these things are written that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you might have life through His name. What is a visitor’s permit compared to an entrance into the kingdom of heaven? The father of the prodigal ran and fell on his son’s neck and kissed him, not with icy eyes, but with love leaping in them. That kiss said, “You are my son.” Such a welcome awaits every repentant sinner who returns to God believing in Jesus Christ, His Son. If your son is covered by that favor, he carries a blessing no consul can grant or deny. Strike down every darling sin that holds his heart; spare it not, for God struck at sin when it was on His own dear Son. Commend him to the One who, though He had not where to lay His head, now sits at the right hand of the Majesty on high, and He will guide him in the interview and, what is infinitely more, guide him into everlasting habitations. Trust Jesus only, and you are saved, and that is the grandest word ever spoken.

God did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all. If He has already given you the greatest gift, how will He not also, with that gift, freely give you all things? Do not let your heart be pulled down by the anxiety of this visa. The greater matter of your soul and your son's soul is already secured in Christ, so these lesser requests you carry to Him in a sure hope. You ask Him to guide your son in his interview, and that is a prayer well pleasing to Him, for it shows you trust that every answer comes from the Lord. When the question is put to him, God who proves our hearts can give him a calm and honest tongue, not from guile or deceit, but from the quiet confidence of one who knows his times are in the Father's hands.

But place this matter in its true light. What is a visa, or any earthly approval, but a shadow and a dream? Let it be granted to your son to be approved in Heaven, and the rest becomes of no account. If the door of this country opens, give glory to God. If it remains shut, know the Captain of our salvation is leading you both toward a better country and an enduring glory. No official, no paper, no earthly power can condemn those whom God has justified by the death of His Son. Do not faint. The love we show our neighbor is the sweetest incense before God, and here your love is poured out daily for your own child. Labor now to show him the peace that passes understanding, a soul in a haven of repose, not tossed by every wave of circumstance. A peaceful heart suffering a delay makes a greater mark than any frantic striving. Trust the One who did not spare even His own Son for you, and wait for His ordering of this small thing, knowing He will do all things well.
