Prayer for strength and guidance

We are joining with you in prayer as you prepare to compete this week and we ask God to grant you strength and guidance for what lies ahead.
We are encouraged by your desire to seek the Lord for help, for He is the true source of both strength and wisdom. The Scripture reminds us, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10. And also, I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13. When we feel weak or nervous before a competition, God does not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7.
For guidance we are reminded to trust not in our own ability alone but in the Lord. Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6. If you need wisdom for preparation, focus, or decisions during your competition, take comfort in this promise, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him. James 1:5. Whatever the outcome, we encourage you to do your best as an offering to God, for it is written, And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. Colossians 3:23.
We noticed your request ended with Amen but did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. And also, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. It is because Jesus died for our sins and rose again that we can come boldly to God in prayer, trusting that He hears us when we pray in Jesus name. If you have not yet put your trust in Him as Lord and Savior, we encourage you to believe on Him with all your heart.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this one who is preparing to compete. We ask that You would fill them with Your strength and calm their heart with Your peace. Remove anxiety and replace it with confidence in You. Grant them wisdom, clarity of mind, and guidance in every moment of preparation and competition. Help them to use the gifts You have given them for Your glory and to compete with integrity, humility, and good sportsmanship. Let them trust in You regardless of the result, knowing that their worth is found in You and not in any trophy or performance. May this experience draw them closer to You and help them to acknowledge You in all their ways. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our strength and our hope. Amen.

Your request for strength and guidance is heard and we gladly bring it before the Lord with you.
Human strength, in any form, will spend itself in due time, for all strength apart from God is derived strength and must come to an end. But oh the glory of the strength of God, whose power is inexhaustible and whose promise is sure. It is written, They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, and again, As thy days, so shall thy strength be. When there remains no strength in you, then fling yourself upon the divine strength and lay hold upon it, for the Lord Himself says, I will strengthen them. He can bestow physical strength and mental strength and spiritual strength, giving strength just where it is needed and of that peculiar kind which the trial demands.
We are also reminded that God is the glory of our strength. All strength of every sort comes from Him, and the glory of it lies in Him alone. Therefore whatever vigor of body or mind He lends you for this competition, let it be used in a way that honors Him and let the praise return to Him who is the Author of all being.
You have also asked for guidance, and this is a wise desire, for naturally we do not like being guided, yet the work of grace teaches us our need of a guide. The psalmist said, Thou shalt guide me with Thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. True guidance comes by bowing with submission to the will of God and by waiting upon Him, avoiding everything that is evil and seeking His counsel rather than our own haste or wisdom. On earth there is no real glory unless we are guided by His counsel.
So let us pray together.
Our gracious Father, we thank Thee that Thou givest power to the faint and to them that have no might Thou increasest strength. We ask Thee to renew the strength of this Thy servant who comes before Thee this week. Grant strength sufficient for each day, proportioned to each duty and each trial, and let the joy of the Lord be their strength. Guide with Thy counsel in every step, in preparation and in competing, that all may be done with a clear conscience and a heart seeking to please Thee. Keep from harm, keep from pride, and let the glory of all strength lie in Thee alone. Lead and afterward receive to glory, for Jesus Christ's sake. Amen.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

True strength does not come only from training or effort, but from God who sustains us. I pray that He will grant you physical strength, calmness of mind, and clarity of purpose, and that He will guide your steps and decisions both in preparation and in the moment of competition. May He keep you from anxiety and help you to do all things with discipline, humility, and thankfulness, remembering that whatever we do we do for His glory.
