Prayer for strength and a safe home

We join with you in prayer for strength and for your home to be a place of security, peace and quiet, completely free from stress. We are thankful that you have come in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him that we have confidence to approach the Father and receive grace and help in time of need.
We hear your desire for structure and comfort and for your home to be safe and warm. Scripture reminds us that true security is found in the Lord Himself. He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. We will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust Psalm 91:1-2. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1. Unless Yahweh builds the house, they labor in vain who build it Psalm 127:1. Through wisdom a house is built, by understanding it is established, by knowledge the rooms are filled with all rare and beautiful treasure Proverbs 24:3-4.
We understand the longing for peace and order and we are encouraged to bring every concern to Him. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. Jesus Himself says Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you, not as the world gives, give I to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful John 14:27.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up this dear one to You. We ask that You be the guard and keeper of this home. Let Your presence fill every room with peace that surpasses understanding and with quietness that comes from trusting in You. Grant strength for each day and wisdom to arrange this home with order and structure, so that it reflects Your goodness and brings rest. Remove stress and anxiety and replace it with Your comfort and encouragement. We ask that You establish this home as a safe and warm dwelling, a refuge from the troubles of the world, where Your love abides. Strengthen this heart with Your promise, Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. Let Your Spirit guide in practical steps, in daily routines, in stewardship of time and resources, and in resting in You. May this home be built on You, the solid rock, and may Your joy and warmth be felt there always. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Your desire for a home that is safe and warm, quiet and at peace, is a gracious one and we have carried it before the Lord with you. He is the God who maketh peace in thy borders, and who filleth His people with good things, and there is no place where His peace is more to be sought than within the walls of our own habitation.
You have asked for strength and structure and comfort, and this is the very way the Lord is pleased to give. He giveth power to the faint and to them that have no might He increaseth strength. When the duty seems too great and the burden too heavy, we are to wait upon the Lord, for they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. It is not in the strength of nature that such a work is done, but in the strength which God supplieth. And as your days, so shall your strength be. If you stay your mind upon Him, He will keep you in perfect peace, peace upon peace, because you trust in Him. That peace is not the mere absence of noise or trouble, but the presence of Christ whose blood whispers peace within, even when duties press and cares surround.
The comfort you seek is the comfort of the Scriptures, where the Lord says, Comfort ye, comfort ye my people. His Word abounds in promises for such an hour as this, and the Holy Spirit lays them home to the troubled heart, quickening us and so comforting us. Therefore do not flee from your cares, but bring them to Him in prayer, believing not only for salvation but for the comfort of your heart.

O Lord our God, Thou hast promised to ordain peace for Thy people, and to be their everlasting strength. Look in mercy upon this home and upon this heart that longs for quietness and security. Grant renewed strength to arrange all things with order and calm, without fretting or fear. Cast out all stress and let Thy perfect peace rule within these borders. Give structure where there has been confusion, and warmth where there has been cold, and make this dwelling a place of safety, comfort and holy rest. Teach this dear soul to wait upon Thee day by day, to stay the mind on Thee, and to find in Thy Word the comfort and hope which endure. Keep this home under Thy watchful care, and let all who dwell there know that Thou workest all their works in them. We ask this in the name and for the sake of Jesus Christ our Lord, who is our peace. Amen.
