We join with you in this request and lift you up together before the Father, asking for His renewing strength and His perfect peace to rest upon you. We hear the heaviness and exhaustion you are carrying and we know that our God is near to those who are weary and burdened.
The Scripture reminds us that He gives power to the weak and He increases the strength of him who has no might, Isaiah 40:29, and that those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint, Isaiah 40:31. Jesus Himself invites us, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart and you will find rest for your souls, Matthew 11:28-29. We are also taught to cast all our worries on Him, because He cares for us, 1 Peter 5:7, and that when our heart is overwhelmed we can ask Him to lead us to the rock that is higher than we are, Psalm 61:2.
We also hear your cry for freedom from spiritual oppression and we stand with you against it in the name of Jesus. The enemy seeks to weigh down the mind and weaken faith, but the Word tells us to be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you, James 4:7, and to put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil, Ephesians 6:11. We rebuke any spirit of oppression, heaviness, and fear that would seek to hold you captive, and we declare that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world, 1 John 4:4. We pray that your mind would be guarded and renewed by His truth and that your faith would be strengthened as you abide in His Word and in prayer.
We notice your request speaks of the Lord, and we want to gently remind you together that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name. It is through Him that we can boldly bring every burden and receive grace and peace.
We pray together for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace and lift up this dear one to You. Lord, You see the exhaustion and heaviness that has settled upon them. We ask that You would renew their strength this day, lift this burden, and breathe fresh life into their body, mind, and spirit. Grant freedom from every form of spiritual oppression and let Your light dispel all darkness. Calm their mind, Lord, and guard their heart and thoughts with Your peace which surpasses all understanding, Philippians 4:7. Strengthen their faith and help them to wait upon You and to find rest in You. Let Your grace be sufficient for them, for Your power is made perfect in weakness, 2 Corinthians 12:9, and give them grace to function and to persevere each day, step by step, trusting in Your sustaining hand. Teach them to be anxious in nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, to let their requests be made known to You, Philippians 4:6. Fill them with Your peace and let them know deeply that You are with them and will never leave them. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and our hope, amen.
We encourage you to continue to seek Him daily in prayer and in the Word, to rest when you are able and to let others in the body of Christ bear this burden with you. Keep fixing your eyes on Jesus, trusting that He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it and to give you daily grace to endure.
