Prayer for sleep

We join with you in seeking the Lord for relief from pain and for peaceful, restorative sleep, and we thank you for asking in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him we have access to the Father and find rest for our souls.
We know how wearing pain can be, especially when it steals sleep night after night, and we take comfort that our God sees your suffering and cares deeply for you. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3, and we are told to cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7. Jesus invites us, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28.
The Lord desires to give His beloved rest. It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil, for he gives sleep to his beloved Psalm 127:2. And we can lay down in trust, for In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety Psalm 4:8. When anxiety and pain press in, we are encouraged, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7.

Father, we lift up our dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You know the pain that afflicts this body and the weariness that comes from sleepless nights. We ask for Your merciful touch to ease this pain, to calm the body and quiet the mind, and to grant deep, peaceful, restorative sleep. Let Your peace that surpasses all understanding guard heart and thoughts tonight. Help us to release every burden and worry into Your caring hands and to rest securely in Your love and protection. We ask for healing according to Your will, for strength for each new day, and for the assurance that You are near, watching over us as we sleep. We entrust this need to You, trusting in Your goodness and mercy, in Jesus name, amen.

We join you in bringing this burden before the throne of grace and we have heard your cry for relief from pain and for peaceful, restorative sleep.
The Scripture teaches us that sleep is the gift of God, for so He giveth His beloved sleep. It is not merely that we lay our heads upon our pillows and compose our bodies, but the Lord Himself must grant the rest. There is a sleep of contentment and a sleep of security which the believer may enjoy, knowing that he is kept by Him who neither slumbers nor sleeps, and who watches over His own through the night.
We are mindful also of your pain. Our Lord was quick to spy out the lame, the blind and the crippled, and His hands were always stretched out for their relief, for He went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed. He knows the weariness of the body that cannot rest, and He hears when His children cry, Oh that I could sleep. He is tender toward those in circumstances of pain and peril, and He carries His sheep in His bosom.
Let us pray together.
O Father of mercies, in the name of Jesus Christ Thy Son, we ask Thy compassionate hand upon this suffering one. Ease the pain that afflicts the body, calm the throbbing brain and the weary limbs, and grant the gracious gift of sleep. Give a quietness of heart, a contentment in Thy care, and a sense of security under Thy watch, that sleep may come as a means of refreshment to recruit exhausted strength. We look to Thee who hast promised that Thou wilt wipe away all tears and that there shall be no more pain, and we ask for a foretaste of that perfect restoration even now. Grant peaceful, restorative rest according to Thy will, and cause this dear one to awake refreshed to serve Thee with renewed strength. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus, our only hope and Saviour. Amen.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
