We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up these precious granddaughters and their mother who have endured so much pain and instability. Father God, we thank You that they know You and walk with You, for that is their firm foundation in this storm. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand in agreement with Your Word that says You are a refuge for the oppressed and a stronghold in times of trouble (Psalm 9:9).
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of control, manipulation, and emotional abuse in Jesus’ name. The behavior described is not of You, Your Word calls husbands to love their wives as Christ loved the church, with gentleness, sacrifice, and honor (Ephesians 5:25, 1 Peter 3:7). This man’s actions have caused deep harm, and we ask You to break every chain of fear, anxiety, and stress that has taken root in these young hearts. We pray for supernatural peace to guard their minds and hearts (Philippians 4:7), and for Your healing touch to restore what has been broken.
Father, we lift up the granddaughter who suffered the severe attack, we command her body to be strengthened and her mind to be at rest. You are the Great Physician, and we trust You to bring complete healing and protection over her. Give her mother divine wisdom to navigate this custody situation. May she be led by Your Spirit to make decisions that prioritize the safety and well-being of her daughters, whether that means legal intervention, counseling, or other godly guidance. We declare that the courts of heaven are open, and we ask for favor and justice in the earthly courts as well.
We also pray for the father. While his actions are grievous, we ask that Your conviction would fall upon him. Soften his heart, Lord, and lead him to repentance. If he will not change, we ask that You would remove his influence in ways that protect these girls from further harm. Your Word says that a perverse person spreads strife, but he who is wise seeks counsel (Proverbs 13:10). We pray for godly mentors and counselors to speak truth into his life, and if he remains unrepentant, we trust You to deal with him according to Your justice.
To the mother and granddaughters, we say this: You are not alone. The Lord is your defender, your shield, and your ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). Lean on Him, cast your cares upon Him, and trust that He will direct your steps. We encourage you to seek godly counsel, pastors, Christian therapists, or legal advocates who can provide wisdom and support. The enemy wants to isolate you, but God calls you to community.
We also want to gently address the mention of divorce. While we grieve the brokenness of this marriage, we recognize that Scripture allows for divorce in cases of unrepentant adultery (Matthew 19:9) and abuse (1 Corinthians 7:15). You are not in sin for leaving a destructive relationship, and we pray that you would find healing and restoration in Christ. Your worth is not defined by this man’s treatment of you, but by the love of your Heavenly Father who calls you His beloved daughter.
Heavenly Father, we ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is power in His name to break every chain and bring deliverance. We declare that these granddaughters will rise above this pain, that they will know their identity in Christ, and that they will walk in the fullness of life You have for them. Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and let them feel Your presence in tangible ways. May they grow in faith, hope, and love, and may this trial produce in them an unshakable trust in You.
We love You, Lord, and we trust You to move mightily on their behalf. Amen.
