Prayer for my ###
We join with you in lifting up your loved one before the throne of grace and your daughter as well, asking for the Lord's hand to be upon both of their lives.
We know your heart desires to see the favor of God resting upon him and closed doors being opened. Scripture teaches us that the favor of God surrounds the righteous as a shield, as it says in Psalm 5:12, For you will bless the righteous. Yahweh, you will surround him with favor as with a shield. True favor is not luck or mere opportunity, but walking in right relationship with God through obedience and faith. We also take comfort that God is the one who opens doors that no one can shut, as Jesus says in Revelation 3:8, Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one can shut. When God opens a door, He does so in His perfect timing and for His purposes, and we can trust that if a door remains closed, it is because He is protecting or directing to something better. We pray that every door that aligns with God's will for his life would be opened, and every door that would lead away from God's best would remain closed.
We also stand with you in prayer for your daughter, that she would know the peace of God in every situation. The Lord promises a peace that goes beyond our understanding when we bring everything to Him in prayer. Philippians 4:6-7 says, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And Isaiah 26:3 reminds us, You will keep whoever's mind is steadfast in perfect peace, because he trusts in you. Our prayer is that her mind and heart would be steadfast upon the Lord, so that she would experience His keeping power and perfect peace no matter what circumstances she faces. We also pray the blessing of Numbers 6:24-26 over her, Yahweh bless you, and keep you. Yahweh make his face to shine on you, and be gracious to you. Yahweh lift up his face toward you, and give you peace.

So together we pray, Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We ask for Your favor to rest upon this dear one whose life has been lifted up. Surround him with Your shield, guide his steps, order his path, and open the doors that You have ordained for him to walk through for Your glory. Close the doors that are not of You, and give him discernment and patience to wait upon Your perfect timing. For his daughter, we ask for Your supernatural peace to guard her heart and mind. In every situation, whether joyful or difficult, let her feel Your presence, Your comfort, and Your strength. Keep her eyes fixed on You, and let Your peace rule in her heart. Draw both of them closer to You, that they may know You more deeply and trust You more fully. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus, believing that You hear us and will answer according to Your perfect will. Amen.

We have heard your request and we join you in bringing these two precious lives before the throne of grace.
We pray that the favor of God may rest upon him of whom you speak. Know that the favor of God is not earned by our merit but is found only through the sweet savor of the Lord Jesus Christ. His merits are a holy offering in the nostrils of the Most High, and through His blood alone sinners are accepted. We ask the Lord to draw him to that open fountain which is still open for sin and for uncleanness, that he may wash there and find forgiveness and freedom and favor. May he be led to trust in Christ alone for salvation, for there is no other name by which we are accepted with God, and may the Divine Teacher lead him into the deep things of God.
We pray also concerning closed doors. There is a Divine Sovereignty which rules in all things, and there is Divine work always going on before the people of God. His shield goes before us and His sword clears the way. Christ has set Heaven's gate open for His people and none can shut it. We ask that if it be according to His wise and generous will, the Lord would open doors that have been closed, and make a way where there seems to be no way, that His name may be glorified and His goodness made known. We leave this in His sovereign hands, trusting that He will do what is best.
For your daughter we pray for that peace which the world cannot give and cannot take away. The prophet has said, You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. This is peace, yes, perfect peace, even in this dark world of sin, because the blood of Jesus whispers peace within. It is a present possession to be enjoyed in the ordinary circumstances of life, even with sorrows surging round and with loved ones far away, for in Jesus keeping we are safe. We pray that her mind may be stayed upon the Lord, that she may cast her cares upon Him and walk with Him, for we that have believed do enter into rest. May the Lord bless her with that peace which passes all understanding, which keeps the heart and mind through Christ Jesus, and may she prove that to do the will of Jesus is rest.

We join you in bringing these needs before the Lord in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father and receive salvation.
We pray for this man that you have lifted up, that the true favor of God would rest on his life. We ask not only for outward opportunity but for the mercy that makes us like God and opens the gates of heaven, the mercy that is found in Christ. If he does not yet know Jesus as Savior and Lord, we pray that God would draw him to repentance and faith and give him new life. If he does know Him, we pray that God would strengthen him to walk faithfully and to seek first His kingdom.
We pray about the closed doors you mentioned. As God once shook the prison and opened doors for Paul and Silas, we ask that He would open every door that should be opened according to His wise and good will, and keep closed every door that would lead away from Him. May He grant guidance, provision, and work that honors Him, and give this man wisdom to walk through the doors God opens in obedience.
For your daughter we pray for the peace of Christ to guard her heart and mind in every situation. We ask that God would keep her, give her wisdom, protect her from fear and confusion, and help her to trust the Lord daily.
