Dear Christ I need you to move in my life help me to be happy and joyful with who I am. Pray that Jesus will save me and forgive for my sins from my childhood and into adulthood, amen.

We come before the throne of grace with your heartfelt cry, lifting you up in prayer and standing with you in faith. Your acknowledgment of Christ as Savior and your plea for forgiveness are the first and most vital steps in walking with the Lord. We rejoice that you have turned to Him, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Jesus Himself said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). Your prayer reflects a heart that seeks Him, and we know He hears you.

We pray that the Lord would wash you clean by the blood of Jesus, covering every sin from your childhood to this very moment. The Word assures us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). You are not defined by your past, Christ has made you new. As it is written, "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17). We declare this truth over you: you are forgiven, redeemed, and deeply loved by the Father.

Yet we must also address the longing in your heart for happiness and joy in who you are. True joy is not found in self-acceptance apart from God, but in finding your identity in Christ. The world may tell you to embrace your desires, your struggles, or even your sins as part of who you are, but Scripture calls us to something higher. Jesus said, "If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me" (Matthew 16:24). This does not mean God wants you to live in shame or self-loathing, but rather that He calls you to surrender every part of your life, your thoughts, your desires, even your very identity, to Him. In Christ, you are not your sin, your past, or your struggles. You are a child of God, fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), called to walk in holiness and purpose.

If there are areas of your life where you have embraced sin, whether in thought, word, or deed, we urge you to repent and turn away from it. The Bible is clear: "Let us walk properly, as in the day; not in revelry and drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity and lustful acts, and not in strife and jealousy" (Romans 13:13). This includes any sexual immorality, such as fornication, adultery, or homosexuality, which the Lord calls sin (1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Leviticus 18:22). We do not say this to condemn you, for there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1), but to encourage you to walk in the freedom and purity He offers. True joy comes from living in obedience to God’s Word, not from clinging to sin.

We also pray that the Lord would fill you with His Holy Spirit, who produces in us love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). These are the fruits of a life surrendered to Christ, and they far surpass any fleeting happiness the world offers. Ask the Lord to search your heart and reveal any areas where you have not fully surrendered to Him (Psalm 139:23-24). Lay them at the foot of the cross, trusting that He will give you the strength to walk in victory.

Father God, we lift up our dear brother/sister to You now. We thank You for drawing them to Yourself and for the work You are doing in their life. Lord, forgive them of every sin, known and unknown, and cleanse them by the blood of Jesus. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit and let Your joy be their strength (Nehemiah 8:10). Help them to find their identity in Christ alone, not in the lies of the enemy or the standards of this world. Give them a hunger for Your Word and a desire to walk in obedience to You. Surround them with godly believers who will encourage and sharpen them in the faith. Heal any wounds from their past and replace every lie they have believed with Your truth. Let them experience the fullness of life that comes from knowing You. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved. Amen.

You are not alone in this journey. The Lord is with you, and so are we. Keep seeking Him with all your heart, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). If there are specific sins or struggles you are battling, we encourage you to confess them to a trusted pastor or mature believer who can pray with you and help you walk in freedom. The enemy wants you to feel isolated, but God calls you to community. Find a Bible-believing church where you can grow in your faith and be accountable to others. You are loved, you are chosen, and you are called for a purpose. Walk in that truth today.

We can hear in your words a heart that truly longs for Christ to move, and that is already a sign of His work in you. Coming to Jesus with a lifetime of sins, from childhood to now, can feel heavy, but nothing you bring is beyond His mercy. He doesn’t hesitate when you ask to be saved and forgiven; He welcomes you like a father running to meet his child.

What we most want you to know is that when you turn to Christ in simple trust, you are welcomed, cleansed, and made brand new. That means the joy you’re aching for isn’t something you have to manufacture by liking everything about yourself right now. It grows from knowing you are secure in Him, fully loved, no longer defined by past failures, and never alone.

One concrete thing that may help: Find a quiet time today or tomorrow and tell Jesus, out loud or on paper, exactly what comes to mind when you think of those sins you carried from childhood into adulthood. Then, after each one, say something like “Jesus, I believe You have forgiven this.” Don’t rely on your feelings, simply take Him at His word, that if we confess our sins He is faithful to forgive. That act of giving them over can break the cycle of old guilt and open room for real peace.

Lord Jesus, thank You that when we cry out to You, You always hear. We ask You to save this dear one fully, forgive every sin of the past, and anchor them in Your love. Grant a deep, steady joy that rests not on their own strength but on who they are in You. Quiet the accusations and fill them with Your Spirit. In Jesus’ name, amen.

God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, so that I can trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Your cry is for joy, for happiness in the very core of your being. You want to be at peace with who you are, but that peace can never be found until you are at peace with God. And there is only one way to that peace, through the forgiveness of sins that is in Christ Jesus. You ask Him to save you, to forgive the sins of your childhood and all the way into adulthood. This is the very heart of the gospel: “I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.” God does not forgive because you have become worthy; He forgives for His own sake, out of the infinite riches of His grace. There is forgiveness, full, free, eternal forgiveness, for the blackest of sinners, for sins against law and gospel, for sins as numerous as the sands on the seashore.

You speak of being happy and joyful with who you are. But know this: when the guilt of sin is taken away, a change of nature comes with it. The Spirit of God removes the guile, the love of sin, the secret clinging to iniquity. The forgiven man no longer hides or excuses his sin; he confesses it, he hates it, he turns from it. True joy is not found in affirming yourself as you are, but in being made new in Christ. “Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation” is the prayer of one who knows that joy is found only in God’s salvation, not in our own pitiful righteousness.

And that salvation is not a distant hope, it is a present reality. “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins.” Have it now. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ right this moment, and your sins are blotted out, cast behind God’s back, remembered no more. There is forgiveness with Him, that He may be feared. This very day, if you will trust in Jesus, who bore the wrath for sinners, who made propitiation by His blood, you shall know that calm so deep, so profound, the peace of God which passes all understanding. It is the joy of faith, the quintessence of happiness, a joy that no sorrow of earth can drain dry.

Let nothing whisper despair to your soul. The law may accuse, but the gospel thunders louder: “There is forgiveness!” It is a deed of divine grace, surprising even to heaven itself. God commands you to pray for it; He has put the words in your mouth, “Forgive us our sins.” Will you not take Him at His word? Come with all your debt, your poverty of spirit, your helplessness, and He will freely pardon, for Christ’s sake. Then you shall shout for joy, even forever, because your trust is in Him.

You ask the Lord to move in your life and to grant you happiness and joy in who you are. I rejoice that you have turned to Him, for He is the only one who can bestow such a joy, not the fleeting joy of the world, but the joy of the angels, the joy of salvation. The world's joy depends on circumstance; the joy that Christ gives floods the heart even in affliction, because it springs from the forgiveness of sins and the hope of glory.

Do not seek to be satisfied merely with who you are in yourself, for we are all by nature alienated, sitting in darkness, and at enmity with God. But hear the good news: He came to take away the sin of the world. Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven and whose sins are covered. This is true blessedness, this is the source of everlasting joy. You ask for pardon from the sins of childhood and adulthood, He stands ready to grant it, not because of your works, but as a gift of grace. Such forgiveness makes a person not merely happy, but blessed beyond all telling, counted worthy of adoption as a son, of the Spirit, of the kingdom of heaven.

Now is the acceptable time, now is the day of salvation. Do not delay. Come to Him who is the Captain of salvation, who was afflicted for your comfort, who through His own sufferings brought many sons to glory. Entrust yourself to His mercies. He will fill your heart with gladness that has nothing in common with this present life, a joy that remains when all earthly pleasures fade.

Pray then for this supernatural joy, but understand that it is inseparable from humility, from losing your life for His sake. What does it profit if you gain the whole world and lose your own soul? True happiness is found in being reconciled to God and walking in His gentleness, no longer warring against your own salvation. He who saved you without your labor will also sustain you. Rejoice, for the Gift is freely offered, and He is faithful who has promised.

You’re reaching out for the very things that only Jesus can give, forgiveness, salvation, and a deep, settled joy in who you are. That cry is one He always honors when it comes from a repentant heart. You’ve named sins from childhood all the way into adulthood, and the weight of the past can feel like a shadow that never lifts. But the word of God shows us that when someone confesses, “I have sinned and perverted what is right,” the Lord is favorable to them. He does not deal with us according to our past if we bring it to the cross. David prayed, “Remember not the sins of my youth,” and God did not hold them against him. Jesus’ blood covers all of it, every guilty memory, every hidden failure.

So the joy you long for doesn’t come by simply “being happy with who you are” in the sense of ignoring sin or trying to build up your own self-confidence. Real joy flows from being made right with God. Job, in the middle of unimaginable suffering, declared, “He also shall be my salvation.” He knew that a hypocrite cannot stand before God, but a person who trusts in the Lord will be justified. That’s your hope: not that you are perfect, but that Christ is your righteousness. When you receive His forgiveness, you are no longer defined by the things you did in the dark; you become a new person, and His joy becomes your strength.

I’ve seen how easily people torment themselves by living in the horror of a past day, turning it over and over in their minds as if they could change it. But that brings only extended grief. The enemy would love to keep you focused on a self-preservation instinct that tries to hide or cover up the past, but God invites you to bring it into the light. He already knows every detail, and He’s ready to cleanse you and lift that burden. The joy of the hypocrite lasts only a moment, but the joy of those whose sins are forgiven is eternal.

So pray this way: “Lord, how many are my iniquities? Show me my transgression and my sin.” Let Him search your heart, and then trust that He will deliver you. He will not cast away someone who comes to Him in truth. The path isn’t found in immediate fulfillment or self-centered existence, that’s emptiness. It’s found in the cross, in dying to self and being raised with Christ. May you experience the fulfillment of knowing you’re doing what God made you for, and may His joy settle deep in your soul as you find your identity not in your past, but in your Savior. In Jesus’ name, yes, He will save you completely.
