Beloved of All
Hearing that one health problem after another has been stacking up with no relief is heavy, and turning to Jesus in prayer is the right place to turn. When difficulty becomes this real and ongoing, we are reminded that our only true hope for help is in the living God.
Scripture speaks of a living hope that comes through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, an inheritance that is incorruptible and undefiled and does not fade away, reserved in heaven for those who are kept by the power of God. That keeping power is God's part, and along with it He has made available to us in Christ the exceeding riches of His grace and exceeding great power. Knowing what God has done is so important when you feel weighed down, because it anchors hope not in how you feel day to day but in what Christ has already accomplished.
There is no one beyond hope. Scripture tells of a king who went as far from God as anyone could go, and yet when he humbled himself and prayed, God restored him and brought him back. If God would do that for him, He will do the same for you as you call on Him. The fact that you are still reaching out to Jesus shows His Spirit is still working in you, and where He is still striving there is hope.
You may have wondered, like Job did in his suffering, whether this means something is hidden or wrong in your life that God is holding against you. Job lost family, possessions, and health, and his friends assumed there must be deep hidden sin. Job himself felt the distance between a finite person and an infinite God and longed for someone to bridge the gap. That bridge is Jesus. He is the one who brings hope and peace and comfort and healing, the one through whom a finite person can reach the infinite God.
It was in the name of Jesus that Peter could say of the lame man, by that name this man stands before you whole. Healing and wholeness are in His name, and that name is where we place our confidence for you now.
I am praying for you, that God would bring healing to your body, peace to your mind, and comfort to your heart, and that you would experience in a fresh way the living hope we have in Christ. May the Lord who sees every new problem that arises show you His keeping power, lift this burden of stacked afflictions, and restore you in His mercy and grace. In the name of Jesus, amen.
