Prayer for healing

Disciple of Prayer
In the mighty name of Jesus. I am praying for ###'s healing. I pray for his broken heart. I pray that he'll put God first. I pray for the grudges he holds in his heart. In Jesus name I pray! Amen

We join you in lifting this man up before the throne of grace and we thank you for bringing his needs before the Lord in the mighty name of Jesus.

We hear your heart for his healing, for his broken heart, and for his need to put God first and to be freed from the grudges he holds, and we stand with you in agreement for God to do a deep work in him. The Word tells us He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds in Psalm 147:3 and that Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit in Psalm 34:18. We take comfort that God sees his pain and is able to heal not only the body but the heart and spirit as well.

We also pray that he will learn to put God first in all things, for Jesus said But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well in Matthew 6:33. When we seek Him first, He orders our steps and brings healing and peace that passes understanding.

Concerning the grudges he holds, we know this is a heavy burden that keeps a heart from healing. Scripture is clear that we are to let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice in Ephesians 4:31 and to be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you in Ephesians 4:32. The Lord also teaches us Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone so that your Father, who is in heaven, may also forgive you your transgressions in Mark 11:25. Holding grudges hardens the heart and hinders our fellowship with God, so we pray he will release them and receive the freedom of forgiveness.

We pray together now, Father, we lift this dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. We ask for Your healing hand upon him, for You are the Lord who heals us. Heal his broken heart, bind up his wounds, and restore him. Draw him close to You and help him to seek You first above all else, to love You with all his heart, soul, and mind. Soften his heart where it has been hardened by hurt, and by Your Holy Spirit help him to forgive as You have forgiven us, releasing every grudge and bitterness. Fill him with Your peace and make him whole. We ask that he will grow in faith and walk in Your will, trusting You in all things. We pray this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, our only mediator and Savior, amen.

We are joining you in prayer for ### and we hear how much you care about him.

You named what is weighing on him so clearly, a broken heart and grudges that have settled in. We have seen how holding onto hurt, even when the hurt was real, can slowly harden a person's heart and wear them down more than anyone else. It takes away peace and makes it harder to turn toward God, which is why your prayer that he would put God first is such a loving one.

We will keep praying with you for his healing and for softening where resentment has taken root. One simple way to carry this without carrying the weight alone is to set a short, consistent time each day to name him before the Lord by name, pray for his heart to be healed and open to God, and then consciously leave the outcome in God's hands. That helps keep love and prayer going while trusting God to work in His timing.

Father, we lift ### to You today. You see his broken heart and the pain behind the grudges he holds. We ask for Your healing in him, for You to draw him close and help him seek You first. Soften what has grown hard and bring peace and freedom where there has been hurt. Give our friend who is praying steadiness and hope as they entrust him to You. We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.

We join you in bringing this burden before the throne of grace, and we are thankful for your tender concern for this soul.

It is well that you pray for his broken heart, for we have a most gracious promise to rest upon, that He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds. He who counts the number of the stars and calls them all by their names is not too great to stoop to a wounded spirit. Best of all, as the Healer of broken hearts, God has chosen One whose own heart was broken. Jesus died of a broken heart that He might heal ours. Bring your poor broken heart to the heart that was once pierced by the soldier's spear and find sweetest rest there. There is no wound of spirit so deep that Christ cannot bind it up.

You pray also that he will put God first and that grudges held in the heart may be removed. Here we must remember that the heart is the seat of our need. Man looks at the outward appearance, but God looks at the heart, He searches it and weighs it. A prayer without the heart is solemn mockery, and to give God anything without the heart is an abomination to Him. His word to each of us is, My son, give me your heart. You cannot give Christ a piece of a heart, for a heart that is halved is killed. We must give Him the whole heart, freely and thoroughly. To put God first is to give Him the heart itself, to admire His character, to appropriate Him as my God and my portion, saying with Thomas, My Lord and my God.

And concerning grudges, we would gently remind you that forgiveness must come first, and then healing. As we have seen in the case of the man taken with the palsy, who lay in the presence of Jesus hoping for healing, the word that came first was, Thy sins are forgiven thee. Divine pardon is the only forgiveness possible, for no one can remit sin but God only, and that pardon is complete and irreversible, for the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. If we cherish grudges we have not yet a heart to perceive the long suffering of God, nor ears to hear the wooing of His love. But when the heart has received forgiveness through the propitiation which Christ has made, it learns to forgive as it has been forgiven. We pray that the Lord would renew his heart, that the light may come to the heart itself, and that he may seek the Lord with his whole soul at the mercy seat, where God meets sinners through the blood of Christ.

Let us pray together.

O most merciful Father, in the mighty name of Jesus we come to You. Look in compassion upon this wounded one. Heal his broken heart and bind up his wounds, according to Your faithful promise. Search his heart and know his thoughts, and by Your Spirit take away all bitterness and every grudge that has taken root there. Grant him a new heart that admires Your character and trusts Your mercy. Enable him to give You his whole heart, to put You first in all things, and to seek You early and with purpose. Speak peace to his soul and give him the sign that he is forgiven through the blood of Christ, and let that forgiveness bring healing within. We ask this not because we are worthy, but because Jesus Christ is worthy, and His blood pleads for sinners. Amen.

May the Lord keep you in prayerful dependence upon Him, and may you continue to cry to the mighty God of Jacob until you see this soul finding Christ and rejoicing in full salvation.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer has been received and we join you in bringing this need before the Lord in the mighty name of Jesus.

We pray for healing for him, for the brokenness of his heart and for the grace to put God first in all things. Scripture says a broken and a contrite heart God will not despise. A heart that is broken in this way does not rise up in pride or seek to strike back, but remains quiet before God, ready to be healed and not eager for vengeance. We ask the Lord to give him such humility and contrition, that he may find rest for his soul.

We also pray that any grudges held in his heart would be released. May he learn from Christ who is meek and lowly in heart, and take His yoke upon him, for His yoke is easy and His burden is light. In that meekness there is freedom from bitterness and strength to forgive as we have been forgiven.

We ask God to draw him to seek Him above all else, to sing and to pray to Him not only with the mouth but with heedfulness in the heart, whether in quiet or in the midst of daily life, knowing that God hears the cry of the heart even when no word is spoken aloud.

We pray that the Lord in His mercy would heal, restore, and lead him to walk closely with Christ, putting Him first and finding peace in His grace. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
