Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing your heart and asking for prayer. We are praying for you and we want you to know that God hears you when you call on Him in the name of Jesus, and He desires to give you His peace and His deliverance.
The Scripture teaches that God can make a way where there seems to be no way. When His people were trapped with no way of escape, He manifested His power to deliver them, and they responded with a song of praise for His great deliverance. In the same way, the Lord is able to deliver you from every attack and every work of darkness. Deliverance is found in Jesus Christ alone, who has overcome all the power of the enemy. As you keep your eyes on Him and cry out to Him, He will show Himself strong on your behalf.
God also wants you to live in peace. The Bible speaks of two kinds of peace. First there is peace with God, which only comes through the blood of Jesus shed on the cross. When your sins are forgiven and you are no longer at war with God, the inner war ceases. Then there is the peace of God, that steady and perfect peace that guards your heart and mind. The prophet Isaiah said that God will keep in perfect peace the one whose mind is stayed on Him, because that person trusts in Him. Jesus said to His disciples, My peace I give to you. This is a peace that the world cannot understand, and it comes as you turn your thoughts toward the Lord and trust Him to take care of what concerns you. The wisdom that comes from above is peaceable, and those who sow peace will reap a harvest of righteousness. The Lord wants to fill your heart with that quiet confidence.
You also asked for good health and courage. The apostle John wrote a personal greeting to his friend Gaius in which he expressed his wish that he would prosper and be in good health even as his soul prospered. That is a beautiful prayer of love, not a guarantee that every faithful person will always be free from sickness, but it does show that God cares about your whole life, both soul and body. There is a real connection between the health of your soul and your overall well being, and God desires your wholeness. At the same time, His ways are not our ways, and even some of the most faithful believers walk through seasons of physical difficulty. What remains true is that God has ordained peace for His children and He works all things for good as you trust Him. Courage comes from that same trust. When Jesus is your peace, your Prince of Peace, you can have courage to stand, knowing He is with you and He will not forsake you.
We pray for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we ask for Your deliverance and protection over this dear one. Break every attack of darkness and set them free by Your power. Forgive sins and grant peace with You through the blood of Jesus, and then fill the heart with Your perfect peace as the mind is stayed on You. Grant good health according to Your wise and loving will, strengthen the soul to prosper in Your truth, and give courage and a calm trust that You are working all things for good. Fill this home with Your presence, Your healing, and Your peace that passes understanding. In Jesus name, Amen.
