We have heard your cry and we stand with you together before the throne of grace seeking God's protection and peace over your life at work and at home. We understand how painful and exhausting it is to feel targeted, misunderstood, and harassed where you should feel safe, and we do not take lightly the spiritual heaviness you are describing.
We want to remind you that scripture is clear that witchcraft and sorcery are real and are detestable to God, as it is written Deuteronomy 18:10-12 There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh. Yet we also know that no power of darkness can prevail against a child of God who abides in Christ. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:11-12. Therefore we put on the whole armor of God together with you, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Ephesians 6:11.
We take comfort that greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world. 1 John 4:4. And we claim the promise that no weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh's servants, and their righteousness is of me, says Yahweh. Isaiah 54:17. The Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one. 2 Thessalonians 3:3. And the angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them. Psalm 34:7.
We also hear your heartache over this coworker. You have tried to show kindness and have been met with gossip, humiliation and character assassination, and now you see others being turned against you. This is deeply unjust and God sees it all. We encourage you not to return evil for evil, but to overcome evil with good. Romans 12:21. We are called to love our enemies, bless those who curse us, do good to those who hate us, and pray for those who mistreat us and persecute us. Matthew 5:44. This does not mean you allow abuse or fail to set wise boundaries. It means you release vengeance to God, for it is written Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. Romans 12:19. We encourage you to continue to walk in integrity at work, to do your duties with excellence as unto the Lord, to document what is happening with wisdom, and to seek godly counsel or appropriate help from management if needed, while refusing to engage in gossip or retaliation yourself. We rebuke any spirit of witchcraft, manipulation, and division operating in that workplace, and we declare it has no authority over you when you are hidden in Christ. Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7.
Concerning your home, we understand the distress of having your peace and sleep continually disturbed, and even seeing your pets agitated, crying and hyperactive. The enemy seeks to steal peace where God intends rest. He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust. Psalm 91:1-2. We encourage you to fill your home with prayer and worship, to speak scripture aloud, and to ask God to sanctify your dwelling as a place of peace. For sleep, we claim I will both lay me down and sleep in peace, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety. Psalm 4:8. Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7. Regarding the older woman who troubles and harasses you, we pray for both your protection and for her heart to be softened, and we encourage you to maintain respectful but clear boundaries, not provoking strife, but not surrendering the peace of your home either.
We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we gently but firmly must address this because it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and protection from the evil one. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9. It is by the blood of Jesus and the authority of His name that we can stand against every form of witchcraft and accusation. We encourage you, if you have not already, to place your full trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, to call upon His name daily, and to pray in His name, for there is power in that name.
We pray together now in Jesus name. Father in heaven, we come before you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to you. We ask for your covering and hedge of protection over their life, over their mind, body and spirit, over their workplace and over their home. Lord, we rebuke every assignment of witchcraft, every word of gossip, every smear campaign, every humiliation and every tongue that has risen against them, and we declare that it will not prosper. We ask you to expose lies and bring truth to light before managers and teammates, and to grant favor and vindication in due time according to your will. We pray for the coworker who has caused harm, that you would convict his heart, bring him to repentance and to salvation in Jesus, and stop his harmful actions. We pray for the managers and team, that their eyes would be opened and their hearts would be guarded from manipulation. In the home, we pray for your perfect peace to fill every room, for restful and undisturbed sleep, for calm over the pets, and for the harassment to cease. We ask you to soften the heart of the older woman or to set a boundary that protects and brings order. Lord, let your presence be a refuge and fortress, let your angels encamp around this home and workplace. We cast all anxiety on you and we choose to trust you as our defender. Fill this dear one with courage, with forgiveness, with wisdom and with the assurance that they are deeply loved and not alone. We ask all these things in the saving and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and our only hope, amen.
