Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for my wife. My wife is currently working at a company. Recently, the company has been repeatedly trying to send her on overseas business trips. However, when she joined the company, there was no discussion or agreement about overseas travel. My wife does not want to go on overseas business trips and wishes to continue working within Korea. She is comfortable traveling abroad only with me, her husband, but in her department she is the only female employee, which creates situations where she would have to travel abroad alone with a male coworker. This makes her feel very uncomfortable and distressed. Although the company has many employees, they keep selecting my wife in particular for overseas business trips. This time, they are planning to send her to Germany, and suddenly they have also added Spain and Mexico to the same trip. Furthermore, my wife has been with the company for only about six months and is still struggling to adjust to the work environment. She does not want to go on overseas business trips and is finding this situation very difficult and overwhelming. My wife and I sincerely pray and hope that ### Company will cancel the planned business trip to Germany, Spain, and Mexico, which my wife does not wish to attend, and that the company will no longer require her to travel overseas, allowing her instead to continue working within Korea.

We hear your deep concern for your wife and the distress this situation is causing both of you. This is not merely a workplace issue—it touches on matters of wisdom, protection, and the sanctity of marriage as God designed it. Scripture reminds us in 1 Corinthians 10:31, *"Whether therefore you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God."* Your wife’s discomfort with traveling alone with male coworkers is not trivial; it reflects a godly desire to honor the boundaries of marriage and maintain purity in her conduct. We must also consider the principle in 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5, which says, *"For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to control his own body in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, like the Gentiles who don’t know God."*

The pressure from her company to send her on these trips—despite no prior agreement and her clear discomfort—raises concerns about respect for her boundaries and the potential for compromising situations. Proverbs 22:28 warns, *"Don’t move the ancient boundary stone, which your fathers have set up."* Her initial agreement with the company did not include overseas travel, and it is unjust for them to impose this now. We must also address the spiritual weight of this burden. In Matthew 11:28, Jesus invites us, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest."* Your wife is carrying a heavy load, and we stand with you in prayer that God would lift this weight from her.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this marriage and this situation to You, asking for Your divine intervention. Lord, You see the distress this is causing, and You care deeply for Your children. We ask that You would soften the hearts of those in authority at this company, that they would recognize the injustice of their demands and the discomfort they are causing. Father, we pray that the planned business trips to Germany, Spain, and Mexico would be canceled, and that Your daughter would no longer be required to travel overseas for work. Grant her the peace and stability to continue her work within Korea, as she originally agreed.

Lord, we also ask for Your protection over this marriage. Guard their hearts and minds from fear, anxiety, and any temptation that may arise from this situation. Strengthen their bond as husband and wife, and remind them of the covenant they share before You. Give Your daughter the courage to stand firm in her convictions, and grant her husband wisdom in how to support and advocate for her. We declare that no weapon formed against this marriage shall prosper, in accordance with Isaiah 54:17.

Father, we rebuke any spirit of manipulation or coercion that may be at work in this company. We ask that You would expose any unrighteous motives and bring them to light. Give Your daughter favor in the eyes of her employers, that they would respect her boundaries and treat her with the dignity she deserves. We also pray for her adjustment to the work environment—grant her confidence, competence, and joy in her role.

Lord, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness and Your perfect timing. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified through it all. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you both to continue seeking the Lord together in this matter. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* This is a time to lean on God’s wisdom, not just your own understanding. Consider speaking with your wife’s supervisors in a respectful but firm manner, clearly communicating her boundaries and the reasons for them. If necessary, seek counsel from a trusted pastor or elder in your church who can provide godly wisdom and support.

Remember, God is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). He sees your struggle, and He will not abandon you. Stand firm in your faith, and trust that He is working even when you cannot see it. May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

We're right there with you, brother. This situation is tough, and it's easy to feel helpless. But remember, God is always in control, and He sees your wife's struggle. Let's lift her up together in prayer.

Lord, we come before you today, laying our friend's wife at your feet. We ask that you would intervene in this situation. Give her the strength and courage to stand firm in her convictions, even in the face of pressure from her company. We pray that the planned business trips to Germany, Spain, and Mexico would be canceled, and that she would no longer be required to travel overseas for work. Give her peace and stability to continue her work within Korea, as she originally agreed.

Lord, we also ask for your protection over their marriage. Guard their hearts and minds from fear and anxiety, and strengthen their bond as husband and wife. Give her husband wisdom in how to support and advocate for her. We declare that no weapon formed against their marriage shall prosper, in accordance with Isaiah 54:17.

Father, we rebuke any spirit of manipulation or coercion that may be at work in this company. We ask that you would expose any unrighteous motives and bring them to light. Give her favor in the eyes of her employers, that they would respect her boundaries and treat her with the dignity she deserves. We also pray for her adjustment to the work environment - grant her confidence, competence, and joy in her role.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer for your wife during this challenging time. It has been on our hearts to lift her up before the Lord, asking Him to surround her with peace and wisdom as she navigates this difficult situation at work. We have prayed specifically that the Lord would soften the hearts of those making these demands, that they would recognize her concerns and release her from these overseas assignments. We have also asked the Father to grant her favor in the workplace, that her voice would be heard and respected, and that her comfort and well-being would be prioritized.

We continue to pray that the planned business trip to ###, ###, and ### would be canceled or reassigned, and that your wife would no longer be placed in situations that cause her distress. We’ve asked the Lord to provide her with strength as she adjusts to her role and to give her confidence in communicating her boundaries. Most of all, we’ve prayed that she would feel the Lord’s presence with her, knowing that He sees her struggles and is working on her behalf.

If the Lord has already answered this prayer in a way that brings relief to your wife, we would be so encouraged to hear a praise report from you. If the situation remains unresolved, please know that we are still standing with you, and we invite you to post this request again so we can continue to intercede on her behalf. May the Lord bless you both as you seek His will and trust in His provision. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus.
