We come before the Lord with gratitude for the healing He has already provided in your life, delivering you from colitis and sustaining you through the challenges of an ostomy. We rejoice in His faithfulness and the ways He has carried you thus far. Now, we lift up this stomach ache to Him, trusting that He hears our prayers and is able to bring complete healing and comfort.
Father in Heaven, we thank You for Your mercy and grace that have already been poured out in this dear one’s life. We ask now that You would touch their body with Your healing hand. Ease their discomfort, Lord, and restore their stomach to full health. Your Word tells us in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We claim this promise over them today, believing that You are the Great Physician who heals all our diseases.
We also pray for peace and patience as they wait on You. Remind them that even in moments of discomfort, You are near, and Your strength is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, knowing that You care for them (1 Peter 5:7).
Lord, we ask that You would also guard their heart and mind against fear or doubt. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and remind them of Your unfailing love. May they continue to walk in faith, trusting that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who bore our infirmities and carried our diseases (Isaiah 53:4-5). It is through His name alone that we have access to You, Father, and it is by His stripes that we are healed (1 Peter 2:24). Thank You for the gift of salvation and the hope we have in Christ. Amen.
