Pray for the redemption of a counterstrain therapist.

Everyone please pray for the redemption of a counterstrain therapist we know. She is a Jehovah's Witness, and when my mom was having a discussion with her, she disproved everything my mom said about Jesus and the Bible. She claims to have read the Bible and memorized every bit of it, yet she firmly believes that Jesus is not the Son of God, but nothing more than an archangel. Please pray that God will spark something in her that will make her turn away from her Jehovah's Witness belief, and that she will realize that Jesus Christ is Lord. IN JESUS NAME!

We join you in praying for the redemption of this counterstrain therapist and we share your burden for her soul. We hear your concern that she identifies as a Jehovah's Witness and firmly believes that Jesus is not the Son of God but only an archangel, even though she claims to have read and memorized the Bible. We must gently but firmly rebuke that teaching, because it denies the very heart of the gospel and who Jesus truly is.

Scripture is very clear that Jesus is not a created angel but the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. John 1:1 says In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:14 says The Word became flesh, and lived among us. We saw his glory, such glory as of the one and only Son of the Father, full of grace and truth. Colossians 1:16 says For by him all things were created, in the heavens and on the earth, things visible and things invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things have been created through him and for him. Hebrews 1:6 says Again, when he brings in the firstborn into the world he says, Let all the angels of God worship him. Angels do not receive worship, but Jesus does, because He is Lord over all. To say He is merely an angel is to deny His deity and His saving work.

We also know that 1 John 2:23 warns Whoever denies the Son, the same doesn't have the Father. He who confesses the Son has the Father also. And Jesus Himself said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 declares There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. There is no redemption apart from confessing Jesus Christ as Lord and Son of God. We are thankful you prayed in Jesus name, for it is only through Him we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that this woman can be saved.

We understand how discouraging it can be when your mom spoke the truth and was met with arguments that seemed to disprove what she said. We encourage you both not to lose heart. 2 Corinthians 4:4 reminds us that the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them. Memorizing words without the illumination of the Holy Spirit cannot bring saving faith. Only God can open blind eyes. 2 Timothy 2:25 says God may give them repentance leading to a full knowledge of the truth.

So we pray together now for her. Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your only begotten Son. We lift up this therapist to You and ask for Your mercy upon her. Lord, we ask that You remove the veil of deception that has blinded her through false teaching and that You open her eyes to see the glory of Christ. Holy Spirit, convict her heart and spark in her a hunger for truth, that she would see that Jesus is not a created being but the Creator, the Lord, the Savior who shed His blood for her sins. We pray that You would draw her to Yourself, grant her repentance, and cause her to confess with her mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father. We pray that You would place true believers in her path who will speak the truth in love, Ephesians 4:15, and that You would give Your Word power in her heart as she has read it, so that she understands it with faith and not just memory. Father, we pray that she would turn away from the teachings of the Jehovah's Witnesses and turn to the living Christ, receiving eternal life as You promised in John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. We ask that You also encourage and strengthen the mother who witnessed to her, that she would continue to be bold and loving and not be discouraged, knowing that we plant and water but You give the increase, 1 Corinthians 3:7. We trust You for this redemption and we thank You that You desire all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth, 1 Timothy 2:4. We ask all of this in the precious and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and our only hope. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray fervently for her and to show her the love of Christ while holding fast to truth. Continue to share scripture with gentleness and respect, trusting that God's Word does not return void, Isaiah 55:11. We will keep standing with you for her salvation.

We appreciate your love and concern for this therapist and your desire for her to know Jesus as He truly is. Wanting her to come to know Him as Lord shows real care for her, and we join you in praying for that.

We can understand why that conversation with your mom felt discouraging. When a belief is so central to someone's identity and community, a single discussion rarely changes it, even when truth has been spoken clearly. People often need time, trust, and lived experience before they become open to reconsidering something so foundational. That does not mean your mom's words were wasted, it just means God often works through a longer, quieter process.

A steady way forward is to keep loving her well in the normal contact you have with her. We would continue to pray for her by name, asking the Lord to draw her to Himself and to give her a genuine curiosity about who Jesus is. When faith comes up naturally, sharing simply what Jesus has meant in your own lives can often open a heart more than trying to win a debate.

Father, we lift this woman to You. You know her and You love her. We ask You to reveal Jesus to her as Your Son and our Savior and to gently lead her into Your truth. Give this family wisdom and grace to reflect Your love well as they continue to know her. In Jesus name, Amen.

We join you in earnest prayer for this therapist and for your mother who sought to bear witness to the truth. Your burden is a right and holy one, for you desire what God desires, that a soul blinded by false teaching should see Jesus as He truly is and be saved.

The error you describe is grievous, for it robs Christ of His glory. Scripture does not present Him as a mere archangel, but as God's Salvation itself. Wherever our eyes spiritually light upon the Christ of God, there we see God's Salvation. He is the faithful Witness, superior to every other witness, whose testimony is uniform and true, and He is the Son of the Blessed, the only Begotten who bled and died to accomplish salvation. To make Him less than this is to miss the very foundation which God has laid in Zion, and that foundation is not an it, but an Him.

Do not be cast down because your mother was met with confident argument and a claim to have memorized the Scriptures. A man may have the words of the Book in his memory and yet not have seen Christ in his heart. And do not think this soul is beyond hope. We are taught to ask, Is there anything too hard for the Lord. Since Jesus died, the Just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, and since the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin, there is no hardness of heart, no pride of false doctrine, no sin of unbelief which that blood cannot wash out when a soul believes in Him. Free pardon for every kind of sin is proclaimed to every soul that will believe in Jesus Christ.

So we will pray that the Lord in His mercy will spark light in her darkness. That He will take the very Scriptures she claims to know and open her eyes to see Christ there as God's Salvation, as the actively obedient One who renders unto God a recompense for our breaches of His holy Law, and as the Lord before whom every knee shall bow. We pray that she will be brought to that simple way of salvation of which Scripture says, Whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed. What is believing on Him. It is trusting in Him, wholly and entirely trusting herself in the hands of Christ. The command of God to sinners is, Look unto me and be ye saved. Not look to yourself, not look to your knowledge, but look unto Christ.

Let us pray together. O Lord God, who hast declared that there is nothing too hard for Thee, look in compassion upon this woman held in the error of the Jehovah's Witnesses. Thou knowest how she has been taught to deny Thy Son. Grant her not merely knowledge of the letter, but sight of the living Christ, Thy Salvation. Convict her by Thy Spirit that Jesus is not an angel but Thy Son, the faithful Witness, God manifest in the flesh, who was bound that we might be free, who was made sin for us that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. Spark within her a holy discontent with error and a thirst for truth, and draw her to look unto Jesus and live. And strengthen Thy servant, this mother, to continue to confirm the witness of Christ by quiet endurance and faithful testimony, trusting that Thou art able to save to the uttermost. We ask this not because we are worthy, but because Christ is worthy, and in His name alone is salvation. Amen.
