Please continue to pray for me to meet a woman God wants me to love and marry and pray God makes it possible in practical ways to get to know each other when we meet. We join with you in prayer and thank you for sharing this desire of your heart with us, for the desire for marriage is placed in the heart by God Himself and it is good to bring it before Him in Jesus' name. We are encouraged that you have asked to pray in Jesus' name, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved and heard.

We believe with you that marriage is a holy and lifelong covenant instituted by God between a man and a woman for His glory. The Scripture says, Yahweh God said, It is not good that the man should be alone. I will make him a helper suitable for him. Genesis 2:18 and also Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh. Proverbs 18:22 and House and riches are an inheritance from fathers, but a prudent wife is from Yahweh. Proverbs 19:14. Therefore we strongly endorse your desire not simply for a relationship or a partner, but for a godly wife and for a marriage that honors God. We encourage you as you wait and as you seek to be looking for a spouse who is a faithful Christian believer, for we are taught, Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? 2 Corinthians 6:14. The time of getting to know one another should be a purposeful courtship with the goal of marriage, and we encourage you to pursue that relationship in purity, keeping yourself from fornication or any sexual intimacy outside of marriage, for that is reserved for the marriage covenant alone.

We also want to encourage you in this season of waiting to delight yourself in the Lord and to seek His kingdom first, trusting in His perfect timing and provision. Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4 and But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11. We encourage you to be preparing your own heart to be the godly husband God is calling you to be, to be active in your local church fellowship where you may meet a like-minded believer, to serve and grow in character, and to wait with courage, for Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh. Psalm 27:14. True love is patient and persevering as described in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, and we pray God brings you a woman who indeed shows that sincere interest and godly commitment to get to know you and to persevere with you toward marriage.

We now pray together for you. Father in heaven, we lift up our brother before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We thank You that You know his name, his dwelling place, and the deep longing of his heart for a wife. Lord, we ask according to Your will that You would lead him to the woman You have prepared for him to love and to marry, a woman who loves You first and who will be a suitable helper for him. We pray that You would make it possible in very practical ways for them to meet and to get to know each other, opening doors that no man can shut and ordering his steps. Your request has been heard and we join you in bringing it before the throne of grace in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father and in whom alone is salvation.

It is a good and honorable desire you have expressed, for marriage is not a light thing but a holy covenant ordained of God, wherein one man and one woman become one flesh for life, to the glory of God. As it has been well said, it is not a less sacred thing to be the married wife or the married husband than to be consecrated in singleness to Christ, for in either state we are to serve the Lord with a whole heart. The very crown of such a marriage is mutual delight and faithfulness, where husband and wife cleave one to another as Christ cleaves to His Church.

We pray for you that the Lord, who knows your frame and your loneliness, would in His perfect wisdom and timing bring into your path the woman whom He has prepared for you, a godly woman who loves Christ above all, and who will love you with a steadfast and patient love. We ask that He would make the way plain in practical things, opening doors of providence for you to meet and to know one another in a manner that is pure and honourable, keeping yourselves as becometh saints, with all purity and prayer. Your prayer has been heard and I thank you for sharing the desire of your heart so openly. The longing to love and to be loved in marriage is good and honorable before God. Scripture says marriage is honorable and pure, and it is a bond ordained by God himself. It preserves holiness, not by giving a holiness of its own, but by guarding the holiness that comes through faith and keeping you from defilement.

I will pray for you in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is through him alone that we have salvation and access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we are saved. I pray that if it is his will for you to marry, he will in his own time and wisdom bring to you a woman who loves him first, who walks in faith and modesty and gravity, and who desires with you a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman until death. I pray that he will make practical ways for you to meet and to get to know one another in a manner that is chaste, orderly and reverent, with the presence and counsel of faithful family and friends, and not in secret or in wantonness.

Follow peace with all and holiness. While you wait, keep yourself pure. If you are unmarried, remain pure and do not make provision for the flesh to fulfill its lusts. That does not mean you neglect the body, but that you care for it for health and for service to God, not to kindle desire. Prune away drunkenness, gluttony, soft and careless living, and all that lights the furnace of lust, and spend your strength on spiritual things, on prayer and perseverance and supplication. Remember Isaac, who passed forty years in virginity before he took his bride. The profit of marriage is to preserve the body pure and to help husband and wife care for home and honor and character together. For this reason wait with self restraint and do not defile yourself before marriage, for then marriage would come without purpose and without fruit.

Pray also for the kind of love you seek. Do not seek only one who will cling to you at any cost, but one who will love you faithfully in Christ, who will not give up lightly, but who will also walk with you in patience and truth. Marriage is a sweet ointment and everything in it should be full of chasteness and order. As the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the Church, and Christ is the savior of the body, so pray for a household built on mutual love, where you lead with forethought and sacrificial care and she is honored and cherished, both of you subject to Christ.

Therefore I pray for miracles in your life, not as dreams that vanish when we awake, but according to the wise and loving will of God, who knows what is best for your soul. May he grant you contentment in him now, keep you from fornication and from living together outside of marriage, for that belongs only within the covenant, and may he, if it is for your good and his glory, open the door to meet the woman he has prepared, to know her truly and to enter with her into that holy bond with joy and reverence.
