We thank you for sharing this prayer request with us and we join with you in Jesus name as you seek the Lord's will for marriage. Your desire to meet a woman to love and to marry is good and honors God, for marriage was His idea from the beginning. We affirm your faith in asking in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that our prayers are heard. As it is written, There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 1 Tim 2:5 and In no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12.

We rejoice that you are seeking a wife according to God's design and not simply a partner or temporary relationship. The Bible teaches that marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman, created by God for companionship, love, and holiness. It is not good that the man should be alone. I will make him a helper suitable for him, Gen 2:18. Whosoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh, Prov 18:22. A prudent wife is from Yahweh, Prov 19:14. We pray that God will lead you to a godly woman who is a sincere believer in Jesus Christ, for we are called to not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, 2 Cor 6:14. Courtship should be entered with the clear goal of discerning marriage to a fellow believer, and we encourage you to pursue this relationship in purity and honor. Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled, Heb 13:4, which means we are to keep ourselves from fornication and keep sexual intimacy within the marriage covenant alone. A loving, faithful courtship that seeks to honor Christ will lay a strong foundation for a marriage that glorifies God.

We also encourage you while you wait to delight yourself in the Lord and to seek His kingdom first, trusting His perfect timing and preparation. Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart, Psalm 37:4. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well, Matt 6:33. Yahweh directs the steps of a man, Psalm 37:23. We encourage you to be active in fellowship with other believers, to serve faithfully in your local church, to grow in godly character, and to become the husband God is calling you to be, so that when He brings this woman into your life you will be ready to love her as Christ loved the church with patience, kindness, and steadfast commitment. Love is patient and is kind, 1 Cor 13:4.

We pray, Father in heaven, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for our brother who desires a godly marriage. We ask that You according to Your perfect will and timing bring into his life the woman You have chosen for him to be his wife. We pray that You make it possible in very practical ways for them to meet and to get to know one another in a godly and orderly way, with open doors, with time and opportunity, and with the blessing of wise counsel. We ask that You prepare her heart even now, that she would be a woman of faith who truly loves You, who has genuine interest in knowing him, who will show steadfast love and not give up easily, but will persevere in building a Christ centered courtship that leads to marriage. We pray that You prepare him as well, to be a faithful, loving, and servant hearted husband. We ask for miracles in his life, for Your hand to move in ways that only You can do, and for Your peace to guard his heart while he waits. Keep them both pure and holy, guarding them from temptation, and let their future marriage be a testimony of Your goodness and grace. Your request has been brought before the Lord and we join you in prayer with love in the name of Jesus Christ, our only Savior and Mediator, through whom alone we have access to the Father.

We pray that the Lord in His wise and gracious providence would guide your steps and order your path, and that in His perfect time He would bring into your life the woman whom He has prepared for you to love and to take as your wife. We ask that He would make practical ways for you to meet and to come to know one another in a manner that is honorable and pure, with opportunities for honest and godly conversation, and that your acquaintance may grow under His watchful care.
