We hear your heart’s longing for a godly wife, and we join you in lifting this desire before the Lord in Jesus’ name. The Scriptures remind us that "he who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from Yahweh" (Proverbs 18:22). Marriage is a sacred covenant, a reflection of Christ’s love for His church (Ephesians 5:22-33), and we pray that God would prepare your heart and the heart of the woman He has for you to enter into this holy union with purity, wisdom, and joy.
Father, we ask You to guide ### in this season of waiting. May he seek You first above all else, trusting that You know the desires of his heart even before he asks (Matthew 6:33, Psalm 37:4). We pray that You would bring a woman into his life who loves You with all her heart, soul, and mind, a woman of godly character, wisdom, and grace (Proverbs 31:10-31). Let their meeting be orchestrated by Your hand, in practical and miraculous ways, so that there is no doubt it is Your will.
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of loneliness, impatience, or ungodly desire that may try to take root in his heart. Guard him from the temptation to seek fulfillment outside of Your timing or Your design. Remind him that "it is not good for the man to be alone" (Genesis 2:18), but that Your timing is perfect. We pray that as he waits, he would grow in faith, in love for You, and in the qualities that will make him a godly husband, patience, kindness, self-control, and a heart of service (1 Corinthians 13:4-7, Galatians 5:22-23).
We also ask that You prepare the woman You have for him. Let her be a woman who is rooted in Scripture, who prays for her future husband even now, and who is walking in obedience to Your will. May she be a helpmate who complements him, challenges him to grow in Christ, and shares his vision for a marriage that honors You (Genesis 2:18, 1 Peter 3:1-7).
Father, we believe in Your power to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). We pray for miracles in ###’s life, not just in finding his wife, but in the transformation of his heart, his circumstances, and his faith. Open doors that no man can shut, and close doors that are not of You (Revelation 3:7-8). Let their love story be one that brings glory to Your name, a testimony of Your faithfulness to those who trust in You.
Above all, we pray that ### would keep his eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of his faith (Hebrews 12:2). May he find his ultimate satisfaction in You, knowing that even if marriage is not part of Your plan for him, You are enough. But if it is Your will, we ask that You bring them together in a way that leaves no doubt it is Your doing.
We stand in agreement with ###, believing that You are working all things together for his good (Romans 8:28). Strengthen his faith, deepen his prayer life, and fill him with hope as he waits on You. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
