We thank you for sharing your heart with us and we join with you in seeking the Lord's will together in Jesus' name for a godly marriage. We are encouraged that you desire to love and to marry according to God's design, for marriage is a holy covenant ordained by God as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. As it is written, Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh Genesis 2:24, and Whosoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh Proverbs 18:22.

We rejoice that you asked in Jesus' name, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that our prayers are heard. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. We also remember that every good gift and every perfect gift is from above James 1:17, and a godly wife is indeed a precious gift from the Lord.

We want to encourage you as you wait upon the Lord to continue to delight yourself in Him and to seek His kingdom first. Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart Psalm 37:4 and But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:33. We encourage you to be preparing your own heart to be the godly husband God is calling you to be, walking in purity, faithfulness, and devotion to Christ, for courtship should be entered with the goal of holy marriage to a fellow believer in Christ. Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers 2 Corinthians 6:14. Marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the bed undefiled Hebrews 13:4, so we encourage you to pursue this future relationship with purity and with the intention of lifelong covenant, fleeing from fornication and keeping yourself holy for your future wife.

We also encourage you in practical ways to place yourself where a godly woman may be found, remaining faithfully planted in a Bible believing church, serving the Lord, fellowshipping with believers, and letting your character and faith be seen. Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh Psalm 27:14. The Lord knows your desire and He is able to make a way where there seems to be no way, and to order your steps in His perfect timing.

Heavenly Father, we come before You together in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother to Your throne of grace. Lord, You said it is not good that the man should be alone Genesis 2:18 and You know his deep desire for a wife to love and to cherish in holy marriage. Father, we ask according to Your perfect will that You would lead him to the woman You have prepared for him, a woman who loves You above all, who walks with You faithfully, and who will have genuine interest in knowing him and building a Christ centered life together. We pray You would make it possible in practical ways for them to meet and to get to know one another in a godly and honorable way, with wisdom, accountability, and purity. Give them both discernment and a steadfast love that does not quickly give up, but is patient and kind as described in Your word 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. Lord, work miracles in his life as only You can, open doors that no man can shut, and let Your favor and guidance be evident. Help him to trust in You with all his heart and not to lean on his own understanding Proverbs 3:5-6, waiting with hope and contentment while You prepare both hearts for marriage. Keep him from discouragement and draw him ever closer to Jesus each day. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We have received your request and we count it a privilege to pray with you in the name of Jesus and with love, and to continue in prayer for you.

We understand the longing of your heart to meet the woman whom God would have you to love and to take as your wife, and we bring this desire before the Lord who waits to be gracious. Scripture teaches us that there is a waiting God and a waiting people, and that they who wait upon the Lord shall find that His waiting turns to a glorious transaction of grace in due season. Though waiting may seem long and even in vain at times, the Lord is not slack concerning His promise, and He knows how to make practical ways where there seem to be none.

We pray that the Lord in His wisdom and mercy would order your steps and hers, that He would bring you together in His perfect timing and provide honest and practical opportunities for you to come to know one another in a manner that is pure and honouring to Him. We ask that He would prepare for you a godly wife, for it is not a less sacred thing to be the married wife than to be consecrated in any other holy calling, and marriage as God ordained it, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, is honourable and to be entered into with prayer and reverence.

We pray also that He would work in her heart to give her a sincere interest in knowing you, a steadfast love that does not quickly faint or turn aside, but that perseveres in faith and kindness until by His grace you are hers and she is yours in that holy covenant. And we ask the Lord to show His power in your life, granting miracles according to His will, not only in providing this companionship but in conforming you both more to the image of Christ as you wait.

May the Lord teach you while you wait to say with Job, Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him, and to rest in the assurance that they are not waiting in despair but in hope, a joyous and assured hope of blessedness in reserve for those who trust Him. We will continue to remember you before the throne, asking that the Lord would keep you faithful, patient and hopeful, and that He would be glorified in all that He provides.

May the Lord bless you and keep you, and give you grace to wait upon Him with a quiet and trusting heart until His good purpose is fulfilled.
