Pray for me to meet a woman

Your prayer request has been received and we join you in bringing it before the Lord with love. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation and access to the Father, that He will guide you according to His good will.

We thank God for your desire for marriage as He ordained it, a bond ordained of God, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman. Scripture teaches that marriage is honorable and pure, and that it preserves the holiness which comes through faith by keeping us from defilement. Those who are unmarried are called to remain pure, and those who are married to live faithfully with their own spouse. Marriage is to be adorned with chasteness, gravity and orderliness, with love from the husband and reverence from the wife, as a man leaves his father to be joined to his wife and holds fast to her.

While you wait, we encourage you to guard the gift you have received through faith and to be adorned with good works, living a life worthy of that gift. The gift itself will not suffice without a life that holds fast what has been given. Keep yourself from all impurity and from unrestrained conduct, for the profit of marriage is to preserve the body pure. Follow peace with all people and holiness, trusting God with patience and self restraint, as Isaac waited in purity, and committing your way to Him in prayer and diligence.

So we pray for you, that the Lord in His mercy will lead you to the woman He wills for you to love and marry, and that He will make a practical way for you to meet and to get to know one another in a pure and orderly manner. We pray that He will provide a woman who sincerely desires to know you, who shows steadfast interest and faithful love, and that you both will persevere until you are joined as one in that covenant. We pray that God will work miracles in your life as He wills, for His glory and for your good, and that He will prepare your heart and hers for that holy union.

May the Lord grant you patience, wisdom and purity in this season, and may He establish your steps. We will continue to pray for you. God bless you in Christ. Amen.

Your desire to find a wife and enter into marriage is good and honors the way God has designed this life. Scripture presents marriage as belonging to this present life. Jesus taught that in the resurrection people neither marry nor are given in marriage but are like the angels in heaven, and in affirming the resurrection He pointed back to what was written through Moses. Under the law given through Moses, God even provided for a family name to continue when a brother died without children, which shows His care for family, for continuity, and for practical provision. That same care is seen today as He guides His people.

It is right to ask God for a wife who shares genuine faith in Jesus Christ, since salvation is through Him alone, and who desires a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman as God intends, with purity and commitment that keeps intimacy within that covenant. A marriage that lasts is built on a shared trust in Christ, often nurtured from an early walk with Him and continued through faithful life with Him, and on a love that is patient and does not quickly give up.

I will pray for you that the Lord, according to His perfect will and timing, will bring you together with the woman He has for you and will open clear and practical ways for you to get to know one another in a godly and honorable way. I will pray that she will have a sincere interest in knowing you, that you both will show steadfast and faithful love toward one another, and that you will persevere until you belong to each other in marriage. I will also pray that God will work in miraculous ways in your life as He sees fit, drawing you closer to Christ, giving you peace while you wait, and making you ready to love and lead a family for His glory.

May the Lord keep you close to Jesus, give you wisdom and patience, and guide your steps as you trust Him.

We have continued to lift you up before the Lord in love, praying that God will lead you to the woman He wants you to love and marry and that He will make it possible in practical ways for you to get to know each other when you meet. We have prayed that God would send you a woman who has genuine interest in getting to know you and who will not give up on you until you are hers and she is yours, and we have prayed for miracles to happen in your life according to His perfect will.

We take comfort as we pray for you in Proverbs 18:22 and Psalm 37:4, trusting that God knows the desires of your heart and His timing is perfect. We pray in Jesus Name that God will prepare your heart and hers, that He will open the right doors and order your steps, that He will give you wisdom, patience and peace as you wait on Him, and that He will make His will clear to you both.
