Pray for ### good health and long life

Your prayer rises from a heart that honors your mother, and this is the very foundation God's commandment lays down. Do not let anxiety cloud this truth, for you are seeking what is good. Yet, when you ask for health and long life, examine the purpose of your request. The body is to be cared for, yes, as the Apostle instructs, "Use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities." To ask for healing, for a healthy liver, to ask that your mother be given strength, this is a provision for the flesh that seeks health, not wantonness. It is a holy request. But beware of asking for long life merely to prolong earthly days as if in a dream that fades. Pray instead that her health be restored so she may serve God with vigor, so that you may have more time to truly honor her, and so that her life, however long the Lord grants, is lived fully for Him. This is a petition God delights to hear.

The cry of your financial need, however, requires a hard look at the commandment you are already striving to keep: "Honor thy father and thy mother." You ask God to help you with a monthly sum to pay credits. But consider a deeper truth: What is your true debt? Your mother suffers, and your father is in heaven. Your first and most pressing credit to repay is the debt of honor and care you owe her. The Lord reproached those who claimed their goods were a "gift" devoted to God, thereby neglecting their parents, and He declared they made void His commandment. Do not make void your prayer by separating your request for money from your immediate duty to your suffering mother. God's provision for your financial stability is mystically tied to your faithful provision for her needs. Instead of a sum of money, seek first to supply what you can for her health, her comfort, her peace. This is the investment that secures a heavenly credit.

You pray for God to lead you according to His will, and you ask for a good future. Remember that His will often breaks natural ties to reforge them in His kingdom, setting a man at variance against his own household to secure a deeper, eternal unity. The present crisis is not a sign of His absence but the very furnace where He strengthens you. You are not abandoned because your earthly father is gone; you are called to a deeper dependence on your Heavenly Father. A "good future in His arms" is not a future free from trial, but one where you and your mother are kept safe and strong in Him, even as the world's securities vanish. Do not seek escape from the situation before you have mined its spiritual gold. Stand with your mother, provide for her soul and body as you are able, and in that act of honoring her, your own spirit is prospered.

Finally, root out any secret bitterness this trial may have planted. To remember injuries, even the injury of your circumstances, is the practice of a soul that trains itself in evil and blocks the healing you seek from God. Do not rage against the debt or despair at the joblessness, as if the Lord does not see. These are temptations to avenge yourself on God's timing. Cast them out. Let your prayer be simple, honest, and wedded to action: "Lord, heal my mother's liver and give her strength for Your service. Guide our hands to honor her and meet our needs, and forgive our anxieties as we learn to trust only in You." Such a prayer, offered from a heart that labors to obey the command to honor, will rise before the throne of the Almighty, who is not deaf to the cry of His children.

The cry of your heart for your mother’s health and your financial needs is heard by the Lord. You are carrying the weight of a loved one’s illness, the memory of your father’s passing, and the pressure of bills that seem insurmountable. In all of this, the promise of life in Christ Jesus stands as your anchor. Even when the sentence of death or hardship hangs over a situation, we can still speak confidently of life, not merely breath in the body, but that age-abiding life, the quality of life found only in the Son.

That life is not fragile. When Jesus walked the earth, even those who hated Him recognized something different about Him. A rich young ruler saw it and fell at His feet asking how to inherit it. He glimpsed a life above mere existence, a life of purity, purpose, and power. That very life is the gift God holds out to you and your mother today. His hand is upon your lives, and nothing happens by accident. The grief, the liver diagnosis, the financial strain, these are not random cruelties but appointments within His knowledge. He intends your good through them, conforming you to the image of His Son.

Your mother’s fatty liver does not escape His notice. The same God who fashioned the human body can command it to be restored. We can ask boldly for her healing and a long life, and we do. Yet true life is not simply about the number of years or the absence of disease. The book of Ecclesiastes notes that even the wicked sometimes live long while the righteous die young. The ultimate blessing belongs to those who fear the Lord. That reverent trust places your mother’s health and her future securely in His care. Whether He heals her liver now or strengthens her spirit to endure, she is kept by the life of Christ within her.

As for the financial credit, the weight of that debt is real. The Scriptures show us a principle: as long as King Asa sought the Lord, God made his ways prosper. The same God who opened doors and provided for His people in desperate times sees your need. He may not remove every bill overnight, but He can supply wisdom, a job, or unexpected help. The deeper need is to live free from the law of sin and death, that anxious cycle of the flesh that says survival depends on our own strength. The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from that. When you gave your life to Him, you opened yourself not just to His work but to God Himself. He takes responsibility for the details.

Your father is already in the presence of the Lord, free from pain. That eternal life is not wishful thinking. It is the record God has given: He who has the Son has life. Because you and your mother belong to Jesus, you share that same unshakable hope. The earth felt loss; heaven received gain. Now the Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you both, giving daily strength and a future that death cannot touch.

Hold onto the Word of God even when the visible evidence screams otherwise. It will work in you like seed in good soil, transforming fear into faith. Ask the Lord to guide each moment, provide holistic help, and lead you according to His will. He is not distant. The mighty power that gives life to the dead is available to bring life to your finances, your mother’s liver, and your grieving hearts.

May the true life that is in the Son overshadow every worry. Trust Him with your mother’s body, your bills, and your future. As you lose your lives for His sake, you will find them, full, secure, and eternal. He does not fail. In Jesus’ miraculous name, Amen.

We are deeply grateful for the privilege of standing with you in prayer for your mother’s healing and your family’s financial needs. It has been on our hearts to lift up her health before the Lord, asking Him to restore her liver, renew her strength, and grant her many more years of life filled with His peace and vitality. We continue to pray that God, in His infinite mercy, would touch her body and bring complete healing according to His perfect will.

We also remember your request for financial provision, asking the Lord to open doors that no man can shut—doors of opportunity, employment, and divine favor. We believe God hears the cries of His children, and we stand in faith with you, trusting that He will supply every need according to His riches in glory. May He guide you both through this season, providing not just material blessings, but wisdom, patience, and the assurance of His presence.

As you seek Him daily, we pray that God would draw near to you and your mother, comforting you in the loss of your father and strengthening your family with His love. May He lead you into a future filled with hope, security, and abundance in Him. If the Lord has already answered these prayers in any way, we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report. If not, we invite you to post this request again so we may continue to intercede on your behalf.

May the Lord bless you both abundantly as you trust in Him, and may His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
