We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear sister and her family during this time of trial and uncertainty. Father, we ask that You would go before the surgeons and medical team, guiding their hands and minds with Your perfect wisdom and skill. We declare that this surgery will be successful, and that Your healing power will flow through every part of this process. "But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds," declares the Lord (Jeremiah 30:17 WEB).
We also lift up the sister who is seeking to be by her loved one’s side. Lord, we ask that You would open the doors for her visa to be approved without delay. Remove any obstacles or bureaucratic hindrances, and grant her the ability to travel in time to offer comfort, support, and love. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7 WEB).
Father, we rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety that may be trying to take hold in this situation. We declare that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). We trust in Your sovereignty and know that You are in control, even when circumstances seem uncertain.
We pray for emotional and spiritual strength for both sisters during this time. May they find their hope and refuge in You, knowing that You are their ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1 WEB). Surround them with Your love, and let them feel the support of the body of Christ as they walk through this valley.
Lord, if there is any unconfessed sin or unforgiveness in their lives, we ask that You would bring it to light and lead them to repentance. We know that healing—both physical and spiritual—comes from You, and we desire for them to be in right standing with You. "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB).
We also take a moment to acknowledge the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). If either of these sisters does not yet know You as their Lord and Savior, we pray that this trial would draw them closer to You. May they come to understand the depth of Your love and the sacrifice of Your Son, who bore our sins on the cross so that we might have eternal life.
Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness and mercy, and we ask that You would move mightily in this situation. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified through it all. In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
