We hear the deep pain in your words, and we come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting you up in prayer. A broken heart is a burden no one should carry alone, and we stand with you, seeking God’s healing touch. The psalmist cried out, "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18 WEB). Know that God sees your tears, collects them in His bottle, and holds your pain close to His heart (Psalm 56:8).
We also recognize that healing is not just emotional but spiritual. If this brokenness stems from a relationship that did not honor God, whether through fornication, adultery, or a union outside His design, we must address it with truth and grace. The Bible warns, "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB). If sin has played a role in this pain, we encourage you to confess it before the Lord, for "if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB). True healing begins with repentance and surrender to God’s will.
If this heartbreak is from the loss of a godly marriage or the hope of one, we pray for restoration, not just of emotions, but of faith. Marriage is a sacred covenant, and God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16), but He also binds up the wounds of the broken (Psalm 147:3). We pray that if it is His will, He would bring a godly spouse into your life, one who loves the Lord above all else and seeks to honor Him in marriage.

Your request for a mended and healed heart has been carried before the throne of grace, and we have pleaded for you that the Lord Himself would be your Physician.
There is a brokenness of heart which is a great sorrow, and yet very near to it lies a great mercy, for the Lord has revealed Himself as He who binds up the broken in heart. We are told that He has chosen One whose own heart was broken to be the Healer, for our Lord Jesus suffered even unto a broken heart upon the cross, and His heart was pierced by the soldier's spear. Bring your poor broken heart then to that once pierced heart, and find sweetest rest there. He knows what grief means, and He brings to the wounded spirit the consolations of His grace and applies them with His own tender hand.
Do not ask only that the pain may grow quiet or become callous and indifferent, but pray as David prayed, that the bones which the Lord has broken may rejoice. When the heart is emptied and made to feel its own nothingness, the Lord is pleased to create a new heart and to put a right spirit within. He takes away the heart of stone and gives a heart of flesh, and upon that heart He writes His law and puts His fear within it, so that you shall not depart from Him. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God, and that sight itself is healing.
There is abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but even the leaves of the Tree of Life are for the healing of the nations. The least word that falls from His lips, the least touch of His grace, bears healing for the thousand ills of our humanity. A leaf from that Tree, a single promise brought home to the heart as His, brings healing to conscience and affection, to desire and imagination. Look up to Him and partake freely, for He will not despise a broken and a contrite heart.
We pray for you now, that the Sun of Righteousness would rise upon you with healing in His wings, that pardon and healing which go together in Christ would be yours, that you would hear joy and gladness and be restored. I join you in prayer for your heart to be mended and healed, and I bring your sorrow before the Lord who sees and cares.
Scripture says that a broken and a contrite heart God will not despise. A heart that is broken before Him does not lift itself up in pride or seek vengeance, but waits quietly upon His mercy, and He draws near to those who come to Him in that humility. You can come to Him just as you are, with honesty about your pain, trusting that He is gentle and ready to receive you.
I pray for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ who alone is our salvation and hope, I ask You to comfort this heart. You have loved us and given us eternal comfort and good hope through grace. Comfort this heart and establish it, so that it will not be shaken but will be steadied in every good work and word that pleases You. Grant rest to this soul, for Your Son has said, take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and you shall find rest for your souls, for My yoke is easy and My burden is light. Heal what is wounded, quiet what is troubled, and fill this heart with Your peace that comes from knowing You.

Your prayer for a mending and healing heart has been heard, and we are joining you in bringing it before the Lord.
Scripture says that the Lord stays close to those whose hearts are broken and He rescues those whose spirits are truly humbled. Jesus spoke of blessing for those who are poor in spirit, and the Psalms say God will not turn away from a broken and repentant heart. That means your brokenness is not a place where God is distant. It is the very place where He draws near. You can pour out to Him honestly all of your grief and sorrow and pain, knowing He receives it with compassion.
God is not looking for only outward observance. He is interested in what is happening inside the heart. We are told to guard the heart with great care because all the issues of life flow from it, and we are also told that our own hearts can deceive us and are deeply flawed. That is why the prayer of Psalm 139 is so fitting for a season of hurt, asking God to search and know the heart. He promises to do an inward work that we cannot do for ourselves. Under the new covenant, which cannot be broken, He promises to circumcise the heart, to take away the old heart and give a new heart that desires Him. It is the work of His Spirit within that truly changes and saves, a baptism of the heart. He alone can create a heart that wants to please Him.
Jesus understands a broken heart completely. When He was on the cross His body was broken for us, though not a bone of Him was broken in fulfillment of Scripture, His body was broken open through His suffering. When His side was pierced, blood and water came out, a sign that His heart had literally ruptured under the weight of bearing the sin of the world. Because He was broken, provision was made for healing. That healing is first spiritual, the forgiveness and restoration of the soul, and Scripture also shows it extends to our whole person as we trust Him by faith, even as we remember His broken body.
He is also the one who works in you both to give you the desire and the ability to do what pleases Him. He places His own desires within the heart and then gives the strength to walk in them, so that doing His will becomes the true pleasure and desire of your life. As you wait on Him, ask Him to renew your heart, to place His desires there, and to carry out His good purpose in you day by day.
We pray for you now. Father, we lift up this dear one whose heart is hurting and ask You to draw especially near. You see the wound and the heaviness. We ask that You heal and mend what is broken, that You would do Your inward work and give a new and whole heart, a heart that rests in You. Search and know this heart, cleanse what needs cleansing, comfort what needs comfort, and fill it with Your peace.
