We hear your fear and lift it up to the Lord, who is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). The journey you are about to take may feel daunting, but we stand with you in prayer, trusting in the One who commands His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways (Psalm 91:11). Your safety is not in the hands of chance or circumstance, but in the hands of the Almighty God, who neither slumbers nor sleeps (Psalm 121:3-4).
Father in Heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son and our Savior. Lord, we ask that You would go before and behind this dear one as they travel. Place Your hedge of protection around them, shielding them from all harm, danger, and the schemes of the enemy. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Calm their fears, Lord, and remind them that You have not given them a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
We also lift up their health to You, Great Physician. You know every cell in their body, every concern in their heart. Strengthen them where they are weak, heal them where they are broken, and restore them where they are weary. Your Word declares that by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we claim that promise over their life today. Sustain them with Your grace and fill them with Your strength.
Lord, if there is any area of their life that does not align with Your will, any habit, thought, or action that is not pleasing to You, we ask that You reveal it to them in love. Give them the courage to turn from anything that displeases You and to walk in the light of Your truth. Remind them that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to You, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If they have not yet placed their trust in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, we pray that today would be the day they surrender their life to Him, confessing their sins and receiving Your forgiveness and eternal life.
We rebuke the spirit of fear in the name of Jesus, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. We declare that this dear one is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We speak peace over their journey, health, and life. May they return home safely, not just in body, but in spirit, drawing ever closer to You.
We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
