We lift you up before the Lord, trusting in His sovereign protection over your journey. The Bible assures us in Psalm 121:7-8, "The Lord will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forward, and forevermore." We stand on this promise, believing that God’s angels are encamped around you, guarding you in all your ways (Psalm 91:11).
Father, we ask that You go before this dear one as they travel, clearing the path of any danger or harm. Cover them with Your hedge of protection, shielding them from accidents, delays, or any schemes of the enemy. Grant them safe passage to their destination and a peaceful return home. Calm any anxiety or fear, replacing it with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
We also pray for wisdom and alertness behind the wheel or during their travels, may they remain focused, patient, and discerning in every moment. If there are others traveling with them, we ask that You watch over them as well, binding them together in Your care.
Lord, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for being a refuge in times of uncertainty. May this journey not only be safe but also draw this one closer to You, deepening their trust in Your unfailing love. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

How sweet a privilege to bear you up before the throne of grace, entreating the Lord who neither slumbers nor sleeps to cover you with His feathers and give His angels charge concerning you. It is not a small thing to ask safety for the morrow’s journey; indeed, we ought never to venture upon a single day without first seeking Divine protection. How many, having escaped terrible storms, have yet perished in a calm? The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and to commit our way unto Him is the surest path of peace.
Rest assured, the Almighty’s shadow is a soft and homely shelter, as the hen gathers her chicks, so does He cover His own with love as well as power. The winds and waves may seem left without control, yet He knows each turn in the road and each breath of air, for He has forearranged all things from the beginning even unto the end. Therefore, you may put implicit confidence in His guidance. Each mile shall be safe, for God has made it so; each place of difficulty shall prove a place of blessed keeping to the soul that rests beneath the wings of the Eternal.
As the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot and must needs return to the ark, so the Lord has prepared your homecoming. Noah stretched forth his hand and pulled her in, and she was safe. Even so, our heavenly Father watches for your return, and His hand shall bring you back in peace. You ask for prayers for safety on your journey. But consider: when Christ sends you forth, do you travel alone? The Lord Himself is the great fellow-traveler of all who commit their way to Him. The angel did not promise to go with Joseph into Egypt, but the holy Child was with them, changing all things by His presence. So too, if you carry Christ in your heart, you carry your safeguard.
Yet do not think mere words will suffice without your own vigilance. The Scriptures are the arms for every journey; the one who knows them does not go into battle unarmed. How can one expect to return safe without them? Ponder the merchant who hires a vessel and inquires carefully about the market. So you, before setting out, prepare your soul with prayer and the remembrance of God's precepts. Do not be like those in the days of Noah, eating and drinking in insensibility until sudden calamity overtakes them. Watch and pray.
Travel light in spirit, needing few things, for the one who can live on little is greater than the one who requires many comforts. Commend yourself to God with fervent hands, and do not cease seeking His face along the road. Then, whether you are at home or abroad, you are held safe in that grace which no circumstance can overthrow. May you thus journey and return, guarded by Him who never sleeps.
