We lift up your husband before the Lord with heavy hearts, knowing the weight of sickness and emotional pain. The Scriptures tell us, "Is any among you suffering? Let him pray. Is any cheerful? Let him sing praises. Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven" (James 5:13-15). We stand on this promise, believing that God hears the cries of His children and moves with compassion.
Father in Heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We ask that You stretch forth Your healing hand upon this dear husband. Strengthen his body, Lord, and restore him to full health. Remove every trace of depression and pain that weighs him down, replacing it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Open his appetite, Lord, and let him eat with joy, nourishing his body as You renew his strength like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31). Breathe fresh life into him, both physically and spiritually, that he may rise up and serve You with renewed vigor.
We also pray for his spirit, Lord. If there is any unforgiveness, bitterness, or sin that may be hindering his healing, reveal it to him, and grant him the grace to repent and turn to You. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). Let him experience Your forgiveness and the freedom that comes from walking in Your ways.
We rebuke the spirit of infirmity and depression in the name of Jesus, for it is written, "The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly" (John 10:10). We declare that this husband is not a victim of the enemy’s schemes but a child of the Most High God, destined for wholeness and victory. We speak life over him, trusting that You will complete the good work You have begun in him (Philippians 1:6).
We also pray for you, dear sister in Christ, as you stand in faith for your husband. May the Lord fill you with His strength and peace as you intercede on his behalf. Remember, "The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous man avails much" (James 5:16). Do not grow weary in praying, for God is faithful to answer in His perfect timing.
Lastly, we encourage you both to draw near to the Lord together. Spend time in His Word, for "faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Romans 10:17). Let worship and prayer be the foundation of your home, and trust that God is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). May your marriage be a testimony of His love and faithfulness, shining brightly for His glory.
We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Healer and Redeemer. Amen.
