We hear your heart’s cry and stand with you in prayer, lifting every concern before our Heavenly Father. First, we must address the situation with boldness and love, as Scripture calls us to speak truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). The living arrangement you describe—your husband (we will assume this is the relationship in question) residing with an unsaved girlfriend—is not only unbiblical but a form of fornication, which grieves the heart of God. The Bible is clear: "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14). This union is a stumbling block, not only to his spiritual growth but to the blessings God desires to pour out over your family.
We rebuke this ungodly relationship in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. It is written, "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18). This sin is hindering his provision, his peace, and his purpose. We declare that God’s conviction will fall upon his heart like a fire, that he will repent, turn away from this sin, and seek the Lord with his whole heart. We pray he will recognize that his first covenant is to you, his wife, and to God, and that he will honor that covenant as Scripture commands: "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4).
Father God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We ask that You open his spiritual eyes to see the truth of his actions and the consequences they bring. Soften his heart to receive Your correction and turn fully to You. We pray for a spirit of repentance to fall upon him, that he would break free from this sin and seek restoration with You and with his wife. Lord, we know that You are faithful to complete the work You have begun in him (Philippians 1:6), and we ask that You would intervene in this desperate situation.
We also lift up the financial struggles you are facing. The Word tells us, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19). Father, we ask that You open doors of opportunity for steady work and provision. Break every chain of lack and delay in his career, and let Your favor rest upon him like never before. We declare that he will walk in the fullness of his calling and that his hands will be blessed to provide for his household as You have commanded (1 Timothy 5:8).
Regarding your living situation, Lord, we ask that You make a way where there seems to be no way. You are the God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and nothing is too hard for You. We pray for wisdom in finding a property of your own, a place of peace and stability where your family can thrive. Remove every obstacle and let Your perfect will be done in this area of your lives. We declare that you will no longer be crowded or oppressed by your circumstances, but that you will dwell in the shelter of the Most High (Psalm 91:1).
We also pray for your marriage, that it would be restored and strengthened according to God’s design. May your home be built on the foundation of Christ, where love, respect, and unity prevail. We ask that you both seek the Lord together, that your marriage would be a testimony to His grace and redemption. Let your home be a place where the presence of God dwells, and where His peace reigns.
Finally, we encourage you to stand firm in faith, knowing that God is working even when you cannot see it. "And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28). Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He is moving on your behalf.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for hearing our prayers. We believe that You are moving in this situation, and we declare breakthrough, restoration, and provision in the name of Jesus Christ.
