Silas
Beloved of All
I am praying for you and thank you for sharing this honest request for healing, protection and guidance.
God invites you to bring these very personal needs to Him. Scripture shows us that our personal petitions center on His provision for our daily needs, His forgiveness, His guidance for the decisions before us, and His deliverance and protection from harm. You do not need perfect words or exact quotations when you pray. He hears the truth that is in your heart and He knows what you need even before you ask.
Your concern about worrying over situations is something many believers experience. Some of us have a tendency to replay what we have done or said and feel miserable for a long time wondering if we made a mistake. Jesus teaches us that worry has no real value and does not help solve the problem. Faith and worry work against each other, so He points us to look at the lilies of the field and the birds of the air. Our Father feeds them and clothes the grass of the field, and He knows your needs far more. Most worry is about tomorrow, but Jesus said not to worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will take care of itself and each day has enough to handle on its own. The cure for worry is trust. Instead of being anxious, we are told to be careful for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving to let our requests be known to God. Rather than worry, pray. Commit what concerns you to the Lord, seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, trust in Him and do good, and delight yourself in Him. As you do, He promises a peace that goes beyond understanding to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus, even when circumstances remain difficult. You can simply turn each worry over to Him and say, Lord, this is Your concern, please take care of it.
I also join you in prayer for healing. I believe God still heals today, and all healing is from Him. Sometimes He heals instantly with a word or a touch, and sometimes He heals gradually through the healing processes He Himself built into our bodies. That gradual work is no less divine, because He created those processes. We do not always understand why some are healed quickly and others are not, and Scripture shows that healing is not always granted in the way we expect, as even the apostle Paul prayed three times about his thorn and learned to trust God's answer. Yet we have confidence to ask, knowing that Jesus bore our infirmities and that He went about healing every sickness and disease, and that when we share in communion we remember His body broken for us. So we ask Him for your healing while trusting His wisdom and love.
My prayer for you is that God will touch your body and bring healing according to His will, whether quickly or step by step, that He will cover you with His protection and deliver you from harm, and that He will clearly show you what to do in each situation that has caused you worry. May He free you from anxiety and stress, help you to experience His provision and forgiveness, and give you clear guidance as you seek Him first. May His peace rest upon you as you commit everything to Him in prayer with thanksgiving.
