We lift you up before the Lord, thanking Him for the courage He has given you to step out in faith and communicate your needs to your supervisor. It is not easy to voice concerns, especially when feeling overwhelmed and uncertain about the future, but we rejoice that you took this step. The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." We pray that God’s peace, which transcends all understanding, will guard your heart as you wait for His direction in this situation.
Father, we ask that You guide the outcome of this request. If it is Your will for this change to take place, we pray that You would open the doors and make the path clear. Give wisdom to those in authority as they consider your letter, and let Your favor rest upon you. We also pray for protection over your health, as the stress and long hours have taken a toll. Remind this dear one that their worth is not found in their productivity or the approval of others, but in You alone. Help them to rest in Your promises, knowing that You care for them deeply. Psalm 121:3-4 assures us, "He will not allow your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep."
We also want to encourage you to seek God’s wisdom in every area of your life, including your work. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." While it is important to take practical steps, like preparing the letter, we must also surrender the outcome to God. He knows what is best for you, and He will direct your steps if you trust in Him.
We rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety that may be trying to take hold of your heart. 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." You are not alone, even though you may feel isolated in this city. God is with you, and He has placed people in your life—like the colleague who encouraged you—to remind you of His care. We pray that He would surround you with godly community, people who will uplift and support you in this season.
Lastly, we want to remind you of the importance of seeking God’s kingdom first in all things. Matthew 6:33 says, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." As you wait for clarity about your job, continue to seek Him in prayer, in His Word, and in fellowship with other believers. He will provide for your needs and lead you into the future He has prepared for you.
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of this dear one, asking that You would grant them strength, wisdom, and peace as they navigate this season of change. Give them courage to trust in You, even when the path ahead is unclear. Surround them with Your love and remind them that they are never alone. We ask that You would open the right doors and close the wrong ones, according to Your perfect will. May they experience Your presence in a tangible way and find joy in the journey, knowing that You are guiding their steps. In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
