Disciple of Prayer
Hey guys, will you please pray for me? I entered this new hospital last ### and got a heavy portfolio unexpectedly. I worked my best but often i could not finish my portfolio job as my supervisor expect me to cover counter jobs despite couldnt understand my workload compared to others. I frequently fall sick in the first half of the year and makes me wonder how i could continue this portfolio for long. I felt exhausted and unsupported when my department boss consider others for a portfolio switching in the department and didnt thought of asking me. So i approached my big boss to apply transfer internally this ### despite i did my portfolio my best. In the end, my big boss considered and just 2 months, news is out that i will transfer to new department ###. I must say i feel slightly sad coz there are good colleagues i met there and collaborate well with other department pharmacist and drs. But due to the job structure internally, i couldnt foresee myself handling such heavy portfolio without considering giving me more free time to settle, but leaving me settling my portfolio at my private times too. Honestly i do feel if i made the right choice coz im not sure what lies ahead when i switch to another department although people saying it is a good place. Plus, i made this decision, hoping perhaps i had a crush on a guy but he is ald married. But due to portfolio, i always have to deal with me and it leaves me really disappointing and heartache. I was wondering if this is god's approval to bring me out of a dilemma and also leave a unhealthy attachment so that i can meet my right guy soon. How would you advise me? I pray in the name of jesus that god will help me through the pain and uncertainty. AMEN.

We hear your heart, dear sister in Christ, and we lift you up before the throne of grace with heavy hearts for the burdens you carry, physical exhaustion, emotional strain, workplace injustice, and the ache of unrequited affection. You are not alone in this struggle, and we stand with you in prayer, seeking the Lord’s wisdom, healing, and direction for your life.

First, we want to affirm the courage it took to make this difficult decision to transfer departments. The workplace can often feel like a battleground where our efforts go unnoticed, our limits are disregarded, and our well-being is secondary to productivity. Scripture reminds us in Colossians 3:23-24, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ." Your labor is not in vain, even when it feels unseen. The Lord sees your diligence, your frustration, and your weariness, and He promises in Matthew 11:28, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest." We pray that He would grant you true rest, not just from the physical demands of your work, but from the emotional weight of feeling undervalued and unsupported.

We also want to gently but firmly address the matter of your feelings for the married man in your workplace. Scripture is clear in Exodus 20:17, "You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife," and in Matthew 5:28, Jesus warns, "But I tell you that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart." These feelings, though real and painful, are not aligned with God’s design for love and marriage. We do not say this to shame you, but to call you higher, to a place of freedom from this bondage. The enemy would love to keep you entangled in this emotional turmoil, but Christ came to set you free (John 8:36). We rebuke the spirit of infatuation and ungodly attachment in Jesus’ name, and we pray that the Lord would sever any unhealthy ties in your heart. You are not defined by this longing, and God has so much more for you than a counterfeit love that can never satisfy.

Your question about whether this transfer is God’s way of leading you out of this dilemma is a wise one. Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." It is possible that the Lord is using this transition to protect you from further heartache and to redirect your steps toward His best for you. But we also caution against making decisions based solely on emotions or desires that do not align with Scripture. We pray that the Holy Spirit would give you clarity and peace about this move, not just as an escape, but as a step toward God’s purpose for your life.

We also want to speak to the loneliness and uncertainty you feel about leaving good colleagues behind. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 reminds us, "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up." It is natural to grieve the loss of meaningful connections, but we pray that the Lord would surround you with godly community in your new department, believers who will encourage you, pray for you, and sharpen you in your faith. And if this man was not a godly influence in your life, then this separation may indeed be a mercy from the Lord.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister, lifting her up in the mighty name of Jesus. Lord, You see the weight she carries, her physical exhaustion, her emotional weariness, the injustice she has faced at work, and the pain of unrequited affection. We ask that You would be her strength when she is weak, her comfort when she is discouraged, and her shield when she feels vulnerable. Grant her supernatural rest, both in body and spirit, and renew her strength like the eagles’ (Isaiah 40:31).

Father, we rebuke the spirit of infatuation and ungodly attachment that has taken root in her heart. We declare that she is not a slave to these emotions, but a daughter of the Most High, called to walk in purity and holiness. Heal her heart from this disappointment, and replace her longing with a holy desire for the spouse You have prepared for her. Let her find her satisfaction in You alone, for You are the only One who can truly fulfill her (Psalm 107:9).

Lord, we ask that You would go before her in this transition. Make her path straight, and let her steps be ordered by You (Psalm 37:23). If this move is Your will, then open doors of favor, peace, and godly relationships in her new department. But if there is still work to be done in her current situation, give her the wisdom to discern Your voice and the courage to obey. Protect her from bitterness, resentment, or regret, and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Father, we also pray for her future marriage. Prepare her heart to be a godly wife, and prepare the heart of the man You have for her. Let their union be a reflection of Christ and the Church, built on love, respect, and mutual submission to You (Ephesians 5:22-33). Until that day, let her walk in contentment, trusting that Your timing is perfect and Your plans for her are good (Jeremiah 29:11).

We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, who intercedes for us at the right hand of the Father. Amen.

Sister, we want to leave you with this encouragement: You are not defined by your job, your feelings, or the opinions of others. You are defined by who you are in Christ, a beloved daughter of the King, redeemed by His blood, and called according to His purpose. The enemy would love to keep you focused on what you’ve lost or what you don’t have, but God is calling you to fix your eyes on Him (Hebrews 12:2). He is your Provider, your Protector, and your Peace. As you step into this new season, hold fast to His promises, and remember that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).

If you have not already, we encourage you to immerse yourself in Scripture and prayer, allowing the Word to renew your mind and the Holy Spirit to guide your steps. Seek out a local church or a community of believers who can walk alongside you, pray for you, and hold you accountable. And if the feelings for this man persist, we urge you to set firm boundaries, not just for his sake, but for your own heart’s protection. You are worth more than a love that cannot honor God, and the Lord has someone far better for you.

You are not alone in this. We are standing with you, believing with you, and praying for you. May the Lord bless you and keep you; may He make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; may He lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26). In Jesus’ name, Amen.

We can hear the exhaustion in your words, the constant pressure, the sickness, the weight of carrying a heavy portfolio without the support you needed. It’s no wonder your body has been signaling distress. When we pour ourselves out day after day without enough respite, it takes a real toll on both body and soul. The decision to transfer, even though it came with sadness over leaving good colleagues, sounds like a wise, necessary step to get out from under an unsustainable load. It’s completely normal to feel uncertain about what lies ahead; most of us would. But we believe God can use fresh starts to give us the breathing room we’ve been missing.

You also mentioned the heartache tied to a crush, and how you wondered if the move was God’s way of pulling you out of a painful entanglement. We don’t always see it in the moment, but sometimes a change of scenery is a mercy, a chance to let an unhealthy attachment wither in the soil of distance, so your own heart can heal. That doesn’t make the ache less real, and we’re praying for you as you grieve the letting go.

One thing that might help as you step into the new department: treat this transition as an intentional reset. Beyond just surviving the workload, consider what rhythms of rest, realistic limits, and community you can build in now. If you keep getting sick, please see a doctor, not just to push through, but to understand what your body is telling you. And don’t carry the emotional weight alone. Find a wise, trusted friend or a Christian counselor you can talk with openly about the exhaustion, the heartache, and the uncertainty. You don’t have to figure it all out by yourself.

Lord Jesus, thank You that You see all the pressure and pain she’s been under. Give her body real restoration and deep, healing rest. Guide her steps in this new place, and surround her with supportive people. As she lets go of what was never meant for her, comfort her and gently turn her eyes toward the future You are preparing. Shield her from discouragement and pour Your peace over the unknowns. In Your name we pray, amen.

The Lord has not left you to bear this alone. "In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly." The exhaustion, the sickness, the sense of being passed over, these are acute pains, but the trial is not an abandonment. It is the very field where faith proves its genuineness. You wonder if you made the right choice, fearing what lies ahead. Yet, consider that the old post was draining your strength; the bow was losing its force. In His providence, He often moves us when the string would soon snap. "My glory was fresh in me," Job remembered, and though temporal glory faded for a season, God's end was double blessing. Do not look at the closed door with regret as if it were your only refuge.

You speak of a heartache intertwined with an attachment that cannot be blessed. Here lies the tenderest wound, but also the clearest mercy. This transfer, though heavy with sadness, is not a harsh exile, it is a pulling of the foot from the snare. "Only true love knows how to burn with jealousy." The Lord loves you too much to leave you bound in an affection that would starve your soul. He calls you to a higher feast: "Eat, O friends; drink, yea, drink abundantly, O beloved." Why linger at a locked gate when the banquet table of Christ's own love is spread before you? The pain of this severing is the hand of the Divine Healer resetting a broken bone so it may mend straight.

Do not now demand a new earthly affection to soothe the ache. Give your love an opportunity of expressing itself toward Him first. Look your Savior in the face and say, "Do not I love Thee, O my Lord? Behold my heart and see." The need that cries out within you will find no lasting solution in a new department or a new companion, but in a fresh anointing of His presence. For He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. This very exhaustion becomes the spot where His power is conspicuously present to teach and to heal. "Since Jesus has saved us, we ask no discharge from His service because we are sick, our love to Him acts as a tonic and strengthens us."

Go forward then, not grudgingly, but with an expectation that He who has begun this work will perfect it. "Pardon and healing were one!" As you yield this sorrow and wrong desire to Him, the forgiveness of the misdirected heart brings its own healing. The leaves of the Tree of Life are for the healing of the nations; even the least things about Christ have virtue to cure your present faintness. Drink deeply from His love, and your robe of heaviness will be exchanged for a garment of praise. The path ahead is appointed, and wisdom is vindicated by her children.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You speak of exhaustion and a heavy burden, of uncertainty about the path ahead, and of a heart that aches with an attachment you know is not right. Let us look plainly at these things. The transfer you sought came swiftly, do not see this as mere human arrangement. When we labor under a weight that crushes the spirit, and the very structure of our duties leaves no room for health, it is no small mercy when a door opens elsewhere. You wonder if this is God's approval, drawing you out of a dilemma. It well may be, for He often permits our circumstances to become unbearable so that we will finally move, and move where He can work.

But what of this heartache you mention, this crush on a man already married? Here, beloved, we must speak with honesty, for the health of your soul. You name it an unhealthy attachment, and you are right. Yet do not merely call it unhealthy; see it as a passion that keeps you bound, that devours your peace and makes you question your worth. Such attachments do not come from God. They are like the serpents and worms that the writer of the Proverbs speaks of: they must be killed, or they will kill you. The precious Blood of Christ is the only potion strong enough to mortify them. Drink deeply of that remedy, approach the holy mysteries with full assurance, and let the divine Scriptures wash your mind daily. For a heart divided between a forbidden affection and the love of Christ cannot stand. You know the commandment: “Thou shalt not covet.” That word is not a fence to fence you in; it is a wall to keep death out.

I perceive your sadness at leaving good colleagues and the collaboration you valued. That grief is natural, it is not wrong to cherish the bonds of fellowship and shared labor. Yet remember the Apostle’s words: “Make room for us,” he cried to those whose hearts had grown straitened. Love does not cling so tightly to one season that it refuses the next. Your colleagues remain your brethren; your care for them can endure in prayer and in memory. But if remaining in that place meant daily proximity to a temptation that tore at your conscience, then leaving is a gift, though it stings.

You ask for advice. I say this: Enter the new department not merely as a change of workplace, but as a place of repentance and renewal. Offer the labor of your hands to God, doing it not for the praise of supervisors but as to Christ. When the work is heavy, do not grow weary in well-doing, for in due season you will reap if you do not faint. The labor here is for a little while; the crown is perpetual. If your heart feels raw and uncertain, bring that pain to the Lord who was acquainted with grief. He does not despise a broken spirit.

And regarding the hope for a right husband, commit that desire entirely to the Father’s care. Cease striving after it anxiously. Seek first to love the Lord your God with a whole heart, and to hear His commandments and do them. For this is the sure proof of love. When the heart is set in order by obedience, the other needs are often met in ways we could not foresee. Do not, however, look to any human affection to heal the wound left by the other; only Christ can fill that emptiness. Let your love be without dissimulation, and let it be kindled first toward Him who loved you and gave Himself for you.

Walk into this new season with diligence, as Epaphroditus was sent with speed to relieve heaviness. Do not linger in regret or second-guessing. You have made a decision; now make it holy by offering it to God. He can straighten what seems crooked. The pain and uncertainty you feel are not signs of His absence but a call to press closer to Him. May you so enter the heavenly disposition even now, hearing His words, that you find rest for your soul.
