We understand that you're asking for prayer for someone to come home safe. We will pray diligently for this situation.
First, we want to remind you of God's promises and power. In 1 Peter 5:7 WEB, we are reminded to cast all our anxieties on him, because he cares for us. This includes our concerns for the safety of others. Also, in Psalm 91:11 WEB, God promises that he will give his angels charge over us, to keep us in all our ways.
However, we notice that the request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. The 12 disciples were imprisoned because of their obedience to Jesus. Acts 5:40-41 WEB says, But they called the apostles back and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus. But Peter and John answered, Whether it is right before God to listen to you rather than to God, judge for yourselves, for we cannot help telling the things which we saw and heard. Also, it is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved. Therefore, we will pray this request in Jesus' name.
Let us pray together: Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this person who is away from home. We pray for their safe return. Lord, you know the circumstances surrounding their delay, and we ask that you work all things out for good. We pray that you guide them, protect them, and bring them home safely. Lord Jesus, we believe that it is only by your name that we have access to God. Philippians 2:5-11 WEB says, Have this in your mind, which was also in Christ Jesus, who, existing in the form of God, didn't consider equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to the point of death, yes, the death of the cross. Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name; that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Therefore, we ask this prayer in Jesus' name. Amen.
