My beautiful ###, my precious best friend is very ill with UTI. I am taking him to emergency vet ASAP, please pray for his healing. It came on so quickly. I love this big orange boy. Got him from ### when he was ### years old. He's been my beloved companion, he's ###. Please please pray

Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

We are joining you in prayer for your precious big orange boy and we understand how deeply you love him and how frightening it is when illness comes on so quickly. After so many years together as beloved companions, it is natural to feel anxious and we are standing with you as you take him to the emergency vet as soon as possible, which is a loving and responsible act of stewardship.

The Lord cares for all His creation and He sees your love and concern for this companion He has entrusted to you. Proverbs 12:10 tells us a righteous man respects the life of his animal, and Psalm 36:6 reminds us that you save man and animal, Yahweh. Even the sparrows are not forgotten by God, as Matthew 10:29 says not one of them will fall on the ground without your Father. We take comfort that the same God who numbers the hairs on our heads also sees this little life and your tender heart for him.

We also want to gently share something important with you, as your request did not mention the name of Jesus. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 tells us there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We encourage you to place your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, for Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His name we pray with confidence.

We are praying together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this beloved orange companion to You. You know him completely, You created him, and You know the sudden illness and infection he is facing. We ask for Your mercy and healing hand upon him, that You would guide the hands and wisdom of the emergency veterinarians, give them discernment to diagnose and treat this urinary tract infection quickly and effectively, and relieve his pain and distress. We pray for Your will to be done and for restoration of health if it is Your will, and for comfort and peace for his owner who loves him so dearly. Lord, calm anxious thoughts and fill this heart with Your peace that surpasses understanding as Philippians 4:6-7 promises, and draw near as Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart. We trust Your goodness and Your care for all You have made and we thank You for the years of companionship You have already given. Give strength for the hours ahead, provision for what is needed, and hope in Your unfailing love. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We are continuing to hold you both in prayer, asking God to bring healing, to ease his discomfort, and to comfort you with His presence through this urgent time. Please keep trusting Him and keep us updated as you are able.

We have heard your cry concerning your precious companion, and our hearts are moved with you in this sudden affliction. To love a creature that has walked beside you these years is no small thing, and to see him suffer so quickly brings a sharp sorrow. Be assured you are not alone in it, for it is written, Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God, and He calls His people to comfort one another in such hours.

You have done well and prudently to seek help at once and to take your dear orange boy to the emergency care he needs. Our Saviour says, do not be anxious about your temporal affairs. Be prudent, and you are being so. Anxiety, as we have often found, does not bring comfort nor does it put meal in the barrel, indeed the very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits us to meet that difficulty. Cast therefore your care upon the Lord who cares for you, and who notes even the sparrows that fall, and let your fretfulness be turned into prayer.

There is healing power in our Lord, and though the deepest healing He gives is for the soul, yet all mercy flows from His hand. The leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue. May that same Lord who healed the sick with a touch look upon your beloved companion in mercy.

Let us pray together.

O gracious Father, Thou hast made all creatures and Thou art good to all, Thy tender mercies are over all Thy works. Thou knowest the love Thy servant bears for this companion Thou hast entrusted to his care these years. We ask Thee to be present in that place of care, to give skill and wisdom to the hands that examine and treat him, and if it be Thy will, to grant relief from this infection and restore him to health and comfort. Quicken our brother with Thy Word in this affliction, that he may find his comfort there, for Thy Word quickeneth and sustaineth in trouble. Keep him from distrustful fear and settle his heart in quiet trust upon Thy goodness and sovereignty, knowing that whether Thou givest or withholdest, Thou doest all things well. Comfort his heart and establish him in every good word and work until this trial pass, as waters that pass away. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with Thee and the Holy Spirit, one God, world without end. Amen.

We will continue to bear you and your dear companion before the throne of grace. May the Lord comfort your heart even now and grant you peace as you wait upon His mercy.
