Please make it stop!

God I feel like i'm being tortured with worry, fear and anxiety. I constantly overthink and it makes me paranoid of other people that I should be able to trust and not be able to live my life like a normal person. Please help me with this situation. I am begging you, I don't feel human anymore and I feel like I'm crying on the inside. God I really need your help. Jesus' name I pray, amen!

We hear the deep anguish in your cry, and our hearts break for the torment you’re enduring under the weight of worry, fear, and anxiety. You are not alone in this battle, beloved, for the Lord sees your tears—even the ones shed silently in your heart—and He longs to lift this burden from you. The enemy seeks to steal your peace, to isolate you in paranoia, and to make you feel less than human, but we stand firmly on the truth of God’s Word: *"Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness"* (Isaiah 41:10, WEB). You are *His*, and He will not abandon you to this suffering.

The overthinking and paranoia you describe are not from the Lord, for *"God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). These attacks are designed to keep you bound, but Jesus came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18). We must resist the lies that tell you this is your permanent reality. Instead, we take every thought captive to obey Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5), for He has already overcome the world (John 16:33). You *can* trust again. You *can* live with joy and clarity. But it begins with surrendering this pain to Him—not just in prayer, but in *daily* acts of faith, even when your emotions scream otherwise.

We notice you invoked the name of Jesus in your prayer, and we praise God for this! There is *power* in that name—the name above every other name (Philippians 2:9-11). It is by His stripes you are healed (1 Peter 2:24), and it is through His blood you have access to the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). Never stop crying out to Him, for He is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). But we also urge you: do not stop at prayer alone. Anxiety often thrives in isolation, so we encourage you to seek godly community—whether through a Bible-believing church, a trusted mentor, or counseling rooted in Scripture. *"Two are better than one... For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow"* (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, WEB). You were not meant to carry this alone.

Now, let us pray over you with the authority given to us in Christ:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your precious child, who is weary and wounded by the relentless assault of fear and anxiety. Lord, You know the depth of their pain—the way their mind races, the way trust feels impossible, the way they feel less than human. But we declare over them *right now* that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and that You are restoring their soul (Psalm 23:3). We bind every spirit of fear, paranoia, and torment in the mighty name of Jesus, and we command these strongholds to *leave* in Jesus’ name. No weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), for greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

Father, fill them with Your perfect peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Renew their mind (Romans 12:2) and guard their heart (Philippians 4:7). When the enemy whispers lies, let them hear Your voice instead: *"I have loved you with an everlasting love"* (Jeremiah 31:3). *"You are mine"* (Isaiah 43:1). *"I will never leave you nor forsake you"* (Hebrews 13:5). Give them the strength to take *one step* today—whether it’s sharing their struggle with a believer, memorizing a Scripture to combat the lies, or simply choosing to worship You in the midst of the storm.

Lord, we ask for divine connections—godly people who will speak life, pray with them, and walk alongside them. Break the cycle of isolation and replace it with Your body, the Church, rising up to support them. And Father, if there are any unconfessed sins, generational curses, or open doors that have given the enemy a foothold, reveal them by Your Spirit. Give them the courage to repent, to close those doors, and to walk in the freedom Christ purchased on the cross.

We thank You, Lord, that You are already at work. We thank You that this season of torture will *not* define them, but that their testimony will be one of Your deliverance and grace. In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Healer, we pray. Amen.

Beloved, this battle is real, but so is your victory. Cling to Jesus. Speak His Word over yourself. And remember: *"The Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear?"* (Psalm 27:1, WEB). You are *not* forgotten. You are *not* beyond hope. The God who parts seas and raises the dead is fighting for you. Stand firm.

We hear you, dear friend, and we're here with you in this struggle. We know it feels overwhelming, like you're drowning in worry, fear, and anxiety. It's exhausting, we know, but please remember, you're not alone. We're in this together, and so is Jesus.

We want you to know that God sees you, He sees your tears, and He's right there with you. He's not surprised by what you're going through, and He's not far off, waiting for you to 'fix' yourself before He'll help. No, He's right there, ready to lift this burden from you.

You know, sometimes it feels like we're in a dark room, and our fears and anxieties are the monsters under the bed, or in the closet. But the truth is, those monsters aren't real. They're just shadows, and they can't hurt us. Jesus has already defeated them on the cross. So, let's shine some light on those shadows, shall we? Let's remind ourselves of who we are in Christ. Let's claim the truth that we are loved, we are valued, and we are more than conquerors through Him who loves us.

We encourage you to take it one step at a time. It's okay if you can't see the whole staircase right now. Just take the next step. Maybe that's talking to a trusted friend about what you're going through. Maybe it's reading a verse from the Bible and meditating on it. Maybe it's just taking a deep breath and reminding yourself that God is with you.

And remember, it's okay to ask for help. It's okay to lean on others. In fact, it's a good thing. We were never meant to go through life alone. So, reach out, dear friend. Reach out to a trusted mentor, a pastor, or a counselor. There's no shame in seeking help.

We're praying for you, dear friend. We're praying that you would feel God's love and peace washing over you. We're praying that the truth of God's Word would sink deep into your heart and mind, driving out the lies and fears. And we're praying that you would feel supported, loved, and encouraged by the community around you.

You're not alone. You're loved. And you're going to make it through this. One step at a time. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
