We have heard your heart and we are lifting you up together before the Lord in Jesus name, thanking Him that you are calling on Jesus Christ in your distress for He is near and He hears you.
You have carried so much, the loss of your husband after many years together just over a year ago, and now the fear of losing your home with only days given because the bank has taken the house from the owner and they want to sell. It is understandable that you feel upset, worried, and unable to get out of bed or leave the house. The Lord sees your grief and your anxiety and He cares deeply for you. Psalm 34:18 says The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 46:1 says God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.
We also hear that you have hurt your arms and are worried about infection and scarring. We love you and we gently urge you not to harm yourself. Your body is precious to God. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 says Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God. You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. Please care for your arms right away by having a doctor or nurse look at them so infection can be prevented and proper healing can happen, and please reach out today to a trusted person, a pastor, a counselor, a family member or a medical professional, and let them know how low you are feeling and that you are having trouble getting out of bed and have hurt yourself. You do not need to carry this alone. If you feel you might hurt yourself again, please seek help immediately from someone nearby or a local crisis support service and the church community around you.
We understand your prayer to be able to stay until the end of the year. We join you in that prayer and we also trust God's provision and timing. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. 1 Peter 5:7 says casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. Isaiah 41:10 says Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Philippians 4:19 says My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift this dear one to You. Lord You see her grief for her husband, You see the shock of his passing, You see her fear of becoming homeless and her sadness and exhaustion that makes it hard to get out of bed. Lord we ask for Your comfort to surround her, for Your peace that surpasses understanding to guard her heart and mind. Provide for her, Lord, a safe place to live. We ask if it is Your will that she be allowed to stay until the end of the year, and even beyond, open that door, soften hearts of those making decisions, and make a way where there seems to be no way. Give her wisdom and help to find practical support, legal advice about her rights as a tenant, housing assistance, and caring people in the local church and community who can walk with her through each step. Touch and heal her arms, prevent infection, bring healing without lasting harm, and help her to care for her body as Your temple. Lift the heavy burden of depression and worry, and help her to feel Your presence each day. Help her to sleep, to eat, to get gentle daily strength to step outside and connect with others. Remind her that she is deeply loved and not forgotten. We thank You that she is seeking Jesus, for John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, and through Him we have hope and access to Your grace. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to keep praying and also to take small practical steps while we continue to pray with you. Share your situation with a local pastor or church family, a doctor for both your emotional heaviness and your arms, and with local housing or tenant advice services who can explain your options and help you apply for more time or alternative housing. Try to let one trusted person know exactly how you are feeling each day, and allow them to check in on you and to go with you to appointments if leaving the house feels overwhelming. The Lord is with you and He will not forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6 says Be strong and courageous. Don't be afraid nor tremble before them, for the Lord your God is he who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you. Matthew 11:28 says Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Keep coming to Jesus, keep casting your cares on Him, and keep letting others help carry this burden with you. We are praying for your peace, your health, and your home.
