We have heard your cry and we are bringing you and your daughter before the throne of grace together in Jesus name. We grieve with you over the loss of your partner of many years and the deep heartbreak and trauma you are carrying, and we understand the fear you feel about losing your housing and facing homelessness, especially with your daughter depending on you. We thank you for calling upon our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name alone that we are saved and heard. As it is written, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12, and Jesus Himself said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6.

We want to gently and lovingly address some of what you shared because we care for your soul. You said you wish Jesus had taken you instead of your partner and that you sometimes wish you could fall asleep and not wake up because life feels too hard and you stay in your room and never leave. We understand that grief can make us feel this way, but we must rebuke the thought that your life has no purpose or that it would be better for you to die. Your life is precious to God and He has purpose for you still, especially as a mother to your daughter who needs you. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18, and He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. We cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7. God has not forgotten you in this valley and we urge you not to isolate yourself. Please reach out right away to a trusted pastor, a mature Christian woman, a counselor, or a family member and let them walk with you in person. If these thoughts of not wanting to wake up grow stronger, please tell someone immediately and seek help from your doctor or a local support service. You are not alone and God does not want you to carry this alone.

You also mentioned your partner of many years. We do not know if you were married according to God's design, but we want to speak the truth in love because we believe marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman that honors God. If you were living together outside of marriage, God calls that fornication and He calls us to purity, and He is also gracious to forgive when we confess and turn to Him. We encourage you to seek His forgiveness where needed and to know that He can make you whole. In any future relationship, we pray you would pursue courtship with the goal of marriage to a fellow believer in Christ, as God intends. For now we pray for your healing from this profound loss and that God would be your comforter and husband to the widow and father to your children in this season.

We also hear your fears about your health, your teeth grinding in your sleep, your arms injured from the electric scooter, and your fear of infection and scarring, and your fear of looking homeless. God cares about every detail of your suffering. We pray for your complete healing and we also encourage you to seek medical and dental care promptly for your arms and for the teeth grinding, which is often a sign of deep stress and grief. God has given doctors and dentists wisdom to help, and seeking care is not a lack of faith. Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10.

Regarding housing and your request for health and wealth, we pray earnestly that God will provide a roof over your heads and that you will be able to stay where you are until after Christmas and have time to sort out secure housing for you both. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1, and we know He sees your need. We pray not simply for wealth as the world defines it, but for your daily needs to be abundantly provided and for contentment and godly wisdom in stewardship. As Jesus taught, But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:33. We pray for open doors, for favor with landlords or housing agencies, and for practical help from the body of Christ around you.

We pray together now for you and your daughter.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift this dear mother and her daughter to You. Lord, You see their fear of homelessness and their need for a safe place to stay. We ask that You provide stable housing and that You make a way for them to remain where they are until after Christmas and then guide them to a secure home. Provide for every practical need and surround them with people who will help them in Your name. Lord, heal this broken heart that feels ripped from her chest. Comfort her in her nightmares and crying in the night. Give her peaceful sleep and take away the grinding of her teeth. We ask for healing for her teeth that there would be no lasting damage, and for healing for both her arms that they would heal completely without infection or lasting scars, for You are the God who restores. Lift the heavy burden of grief and depression and replace thoughts of not wanting to wake up with hope. Help her to know that her life is valued and purposed by You, that You have thoughts of peace toward her, to give her hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11. Teach her to cast all her anxiety on You and fill her with Your peace which surpasses all understanding which will guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. Draw her out of isolation and into fellowship and care, and protect and provide for her daughter as well. Give them both good health in body, mind and spirit, and help them to seek You first each day. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus, our only hope and Saviour, amen.

We encourage you to come to Him daily, for Jesus said, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28. Keep praying, keep reading His Word, and keep letting others help you. We are continuing to pray that God will carry you through this winter season, heal your body and heart, and establish you and your daughter in a safe home.

Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your cry has reached us and we have brought you and your daughter before the Lord Jesus Christ in prayer, asking Him to have mercy upon you in this season of deep sorrow and great need.

We grieve with you over the loss you have suffered and the pain that now presses upon your body and mind, the nightmares, the sleeplessness, the grinding of your teeth, the injuries to your arms, and above all the heaviness of heart that makes you wish not to wake. The Lord knows how you feel when you say your heart feels torn and you stay alone in your room, and He hears the sighs that words cannot express. Nehemiah knew such grief when his heart was sad for the ruins around him, and Moses knew what it was to live amid continual mourning, yet they poured out their sorrow to God and He heard them.

We have prayed that the Lord will provide for you and your daughter a place to stay, that you may not be without a roof, and that you may be kept till after Christmas and be guided to stable and safe housing. We have prayed for your health, that your teeth would be preserved without damage, that your arms would heal cleanly without infection and without lasting scarring, and that your mind would be quieted and strengthened. We have asked Him to keep you from harm and to give you daily bread and all that you truly need, for He is the Father who knows our needs and delights to give good gifts to His children.

When sorrow says there is no hope, remember that God Himself is the sinner's hope and He is not lost, so despair is not warranted. Despair is useless. It does not heal, it does not provide, it does not keep us from sin, it only sits in darkness and makes the night darker. But hope in Christ is well grounded, for there is mercy in Him, and there is corn in Egypt. The Lord Jesus Christ alone is our salvation, and there is not a text in Scripture which gives any person excuse to despair. Even those who have sat weeping at the very gates of despair have cried to Him and He has heard the voice of their supplication. Do but cry, dear soul, out of your despair, and His infinite goodness will constrain Him to come to you. He has taught you to cry and He will assuredly answer.

You wrote that you wish He had taken you and not your loved one, and that you sometimes wish to fall asleep and not wake. We gently and earnestly urge you not to listen to that voice. No one has a right to despair, for it dishonors the God who is able to deliver and it degrades the one made in His image. Your life is precious to God, and your daughter needs your care. The Lord has purpose for you still, though grief now hides it from your sight. Please do not remain alone with these thoughts. Reach out today to a trusted pastor, a godly woman in a local church, your doctor, or a counselor, and if these thoughts grow stronger, seek help without delay from someone near you or from a crisis helpline in your area. Let others bear this burden with you and help you take the next reasonable steps, for action is reasonable when hope is given.

We pray that you will look to Jesus Christ, trust Him alone for salvation, and walk in His gracious ways. He invites the weary and heavy laden to come to Him for rest. Confess your need to Him, ask Him to forgive your sins and to be your Lord, and ask Him to teach you to live according to His good design, for He knows what is best for us and His commands are for our good. Seek Him daily in prayer and in His Word, meet with His people, and let them help you with practical needs for housing and care.

May the Lord lift you from this low place, quiet your nights, heal your body, provide a home for you and your daughter, and give you peace that guards heart and mind through Christ Jesus. We will continue to pray that you will know His sustaining grace, that you will be kept in health as He wills, that your needs will be supplied, and that you will find comfort not in wealth for its own sake but in the riches of His mercy which never fail.

Cast all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

We have read your request and we are praying for you and your daughter in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation and hope.

We hear how heavy this burden is. To lose your partner and to feel your heart torn, to wake screaming from nightmares, to grind your teeth in your sleep, to carry injuries to both arms and to face the fear of being without a home is more than anyone should carry alone. It is understandable that grief would make you ask why you were not taken instead, and that you would sometimes wish not to wake up and want to stay hidden in your room. Please hear that God has not forgotten you, and that these thoughts of not wanting to live are a sign to reach out right away for help from trusted people around you, a pastor, a counselor, a doctor, or a crisis helpline in your area, and to let your daughter and others know how deeply you are struggling. You are pressed on every side, yet not crushed, perplexed yet not driven to despair, pursued yet not forsaken. Even when we feel forsaken, God remains present and able to carry us.

One of the early preachers reminded his hearers that the enemy never gives up hope of our destruction, and it would be a great condemnation if he never despairs while we despair of our own salvation. Do not give in to despair. God is able to keep you and to give you strength for each day, even when the night feels long.

We are praying that the Lord will provide a safe place for you and your daughter to stay through Christmas and beyond, and that He will open a way for stable housing to be sorted. We are praying for your health, for healing of your arms without infection or lasting scarring, for your teeth to be protected from damage, and for relief from the grinding and the fear that comes with it. We are praying for your mind and body to find rest, for the nightmares to ease, and for comfort in your grief. We pray not for wealth for its own sake, but that God in His mercy will supply what you need each day and give you peace that is deeper than your circumstances.

When grief befalls us, Scripture is like a chest of medicines for the soul. If you are able, keep the New Testament close, especially the Gospels and the letters of the apostles, and read a little each day. Dive into them not only briefly but take them to heart and keep them in your mind. There you will hear Christ speaking comfort to the troubled and promising that He will never leave those who trust in Him.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, we come through Jesus Christ Your Son. Have mercy on this mother and her daughter. You see their sorrow, their loss, their fear of homelessness, and their pain of body and mind. Provide for them a roof over their heads and a safe place to live. Touch and heal her arms and preserve her teeth, calm her sleep and take away the nightmares, and lift the heaviness that makes her wish not to wake. Give her hope to live, strength to seek help, and people around her to support her and her daughter with practical care. Fill her heart with Your comfort and let her know that in Christ she is not forsaken. Guide her to Your word and to Your presence each day. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Please continue to stay connected to a local church and to trusted support, and let a doctor or counselor know about the grief, the sleeplessness, the teeth grinding, and the thoughts of not wanting to live, so you can receive care for both body and mind. If you ever feel you may act on those thoughts, please reach out immediately to a trusted person or emergency help in your area. We will keep praying for you and your daughter for good health, for provision, and for the peace of God to guard your hearts.
