Hi everyone I really need your help , I’m currently morning death with my husband , it’s been one year and I’m still not wanting to leave the house or my room , I’m in a very bad depression and don’t want to wake up most days and wish I pass away in my sleep , my daughter came to live with me when my partner passed away but she hasn’t been ok she was in a coma 7 times last year from her abusive ex boyfriend from drug overdose, he has bashed her and done worse , she still will talk to him sometimes and even snuck him into the house, and he ended up grabbing her and choking her and smashed up her room and put holes in her bedroom door and wall , police came and my daughter said it was her fault and nothing happened so they didn’t charge him even tho I told them he did , my daughter has been giving me pain and suffering by smashing up the house and has hit me while intoxicated on drugs , it’s getting to the point it’s happening 24/7 , we have to move also as the bank is repossessing the house as the owner never paid the mortgage, so the hard bit is no one will let her stay at there house only me , everyone is saying cause she is ### now she can go on her own two feet as I’ve tried for one year and she keeps doing this to me and it’s making me worse while I’m grieving, can I please get you to pray for me and my family , my son said I can live with him but not with my daughter his sister as he had tried 4 times to help her but she didn’t want to listen to his rules , (don’t use drugs) but she broke the rules

Lord, we thank you that you for the blessings that you have given us. Help us to honor you in every part of our lives. We place this request at your throne. Please hear and reply according to your perfect will and timing. Grant us the peace to know that you are in control. In Jesus Name. Amen.

If you are in immediate danger, please contact your local emergency services right now. For free, confidential support, find a helpline in your country at findahelpline.com. You are not alone and trained people are ready to help right now.

We have read your message and we are so sorry for all you are carrying. Grieving your husband after a year, not wanting to leave your room, and waking up wishing you would not wake at all is a heavy and lonely place to be. On top of that you are facing violence and chaos at home with your daughter, her struggles with drugs and an abusive ex, and now losing your housing. It makes sense you feel overwhelmed and exhausted.

What you shared about not wanting to wake up and wishing to pass in your sleep deserves prompt care alongside prayer. We encourage you to reach out soon to your doctor, counselor, or a trusted support person and let them know exactly how you have been feeling and what is happening at home. If you have a son, pastor, or another safe person nearby, please let them know as well so you are not holding this alone.

For your safety, it can help to think ahead with someone you trust about a plan for when things become violent or when you feel unsafe, including where you can go and who you can call. You deserve to be safe in your own home, and you do not have to sort out your daughter's choices by yourself. Local support services and a counselor can help you think through boundaries and next steps for housing.

Father, in Jesus name we lift this dear sister and her family to You. You see her grief, her weariness, and her love for her daughter and son. Hold her close, guard her safety and health, and bring wise, caring people around her quickly to walk with her. Give her rest, strength for each day, and clear direction for what to do next. Amen.

Your grief has been laid before us and we have heard it with sorrow of heart. To mourn a husband after one year, to feel no desire to leave your room or to rise in the morning, to wish that sleep might end in death, this is a deep affliction and the Lord sees it. He is near to the brokenhearted and He hears the crying prayer which comes from intense longing. You are not forgotten by Him, even when darkness seems to cover every path before you.

In such depression of spirit we must speak plainly and tenderly. The desire to not wake is a sign of great heaviness that ought not to be borne alone. We urge you, for the love of Christ and for the sake of those who love you, to seek help without delay. Open your sorrow to a faithful pastor, to your son, to a trusted Christian friend, and to a medical doctor who can care for you. If you feel you may not be safe, please reach out at once to someone near you, to your pastor or family, to your doctor, or to a crisis helpline or emergency services where you live. The Lord often delivers by the hands of others, and to ask for help is not weakness but wisdom. Continue in private prayer, even brief silent prayer as Nehemiah offered, for God hears the sigh that cannot form a sentence.

Concerning your daughter, we weep with you over her sufferings and over the suffering she has brought into your home. To have been in a coma seven times from drug overdose, to have been bashed and choked and otherwise cruelly treated by a man, is terrible to hear. That man has shown himself violent and unfit for any trust, smashing doors and walls and laying hands upon her. We cannot affirm or ask God to bless that relationship, for it is outside the covenant of marriage which God ordained for one man and one woman for life, and where sex and living together belong, and it is marked by violence and intoxication which God forbids. To still speak with him and to sneak him into your house is to invite further harm. We pray that she may be delivered from that bondage, that she may repent and turn from drugs and from this abusive companionship, and that she may find salvation through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved. She needs both firm boundaries and compassionate help, which may include a safe place apart from that man, counsel from mature believers, and professional help for addiction.

It is also grievous that while intoxicated she has smashed your house and hit you. This must not continue. Love does not require you to endure being struck or to live in fear in your own dwelling. The Scripture calls us to reform the household and to seek peace and holiness within it. Family prayer is the nutriment of family piety, but where violence and drugs reign, safety must be sought. It is right to call for help when you are harmed, to make a safety plan, and to involve trusted family and, when needed, the authorities for protection. Your son has shown care in offering you a home, and his rule that drugs must not be brought into the house is not harsh but loving and necessary. Many have found that such a boundary, though painful, is the only path that may lead an addicted loved one to seek real help. That others tell you your daughter, being of age, must stand on her own two feet is not a lack of love but a recognition that you have laboured for a year and are being worn down while grieving. You are not abandoning her to require that she seek a drug free and violence free way of life, whether through a rehabilitation program, Christian ministry for addiction, or other supported housing, before she can live under your roof again.

The trial of losing your home through the owner's failure to pay the mortgage is another heavy burden, coming upon grief and family strife. Remember Noah, who with his family left house and all to find a home in the ark which God had provided. God in infinite grace entered into covenant to preserve him, and Noah freely obeyed. So we trust that God, who numbers the hairs of your head, will provide a shelter for you. To accept your son's kind offer for yourself, even if your daughter cannot come under the same roof at this time, is not unfaithfulness but a wise stewardship of the refuge God is opening to you.

We will pray for you and your family as you have asked, and we urge you to keep close to the whole family of God in Heaven and earth, the church where the Lord adds those who believe and where the lambs are not kept outside the fold.

Our prayer is this. O Lord, have mercy upon this sorrowing wife and mother. Lift the cloud of depression and give her hope in Christ, who bore our griefs and who lives to comfort those who mourn. Keep her life and set her feet upon the rock. Bring her daughter out of the snare of drugs and from the hands of a violent man, grant her repentance and faith in Jesus Christ alone, and lead her to forsake all that defiles and destroys. Protect this home from violence, give wisdom to the son and to all who counsel, and provide a safe dwelling for this mother. Restore family prayer and family peace where it has been broken, and let all in this household know that all things are yours in Christ. Return, O Lord, and show Thy tender love and gracious care, for Jesus sake. Amen.

Seek the Lord daily, keep close to His Word, gather with His people as you are able, and let faithful believers and wise helpers walk with you in these next steps.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have heard your prayer and we have carried it before the Lord with great sorrow and care. Your grief after losing your husband is deep and heavy, and the Lord sees the days you cannot leave your room and the mornings when you do not want to wake. Scripture says God is the Father of the fatherless and the Judge and defender of widows, and that the widow who is desolate trusts in God and continues in prayer night and day. You are not forgotten or forsaken. Your life is precious to God, and He still has purpose and mercy for you, even in this dark valley. Your tears are not hidden from Him, and He is able to bring comfort and to whiten and cleanse and restore those who turn to Him.

If you often feel you do not want to wake or wish to pass away in your sleep, please do not stay alone with those thoughts. Reach out today to a trusted pastor, a counselor, a doctor, or a family member, and let someone stay near you and pray with you and help you get care. If you ever feel unsafe with yourself, please call for help right away through a trusted person or local emergency help or a crisis helpline in your area. Grief and depression can make the heart feel closed in, but God does not want you to be isolated. Try to take small steps to let others in, to hear the Scriptures, to pray even with few words, and to meet with your church family who can walk with you. A pastor or Christian counselor can also help you find ongoing support for grief and depression.

We also grieve with you over your daughter and the violence and drug use that has entered your home. It is right to love your daughter, and it is also right to seek safety and to not enable what is destroying her. The Lord calls us to holiness and sobriety and to turn away from what harms the body and soul, and He calls us to protect life. Her relationship with a man who has beaten her, choked her, and damaged your home is not a relationship God blesses, and her continued contact with him and her drug use are bringing great harm to both of you. She needs help that you alone cannot give. Please continue to keep yourself safe, to set clear boundaries, and to seek help from your pastor, from trusted family, and from services that help with addiction and domestic abuse. Keep a safety plan, keep doors secure, and do not hesitate to call the police when you are threatened or harmed. Loving her does not mean allowing her to live in your home while she continues to use drugs and to bring violence and to hurt you. Your son's offer to house you but not under those conditions reflects a painful but wise boundary, that a home cannot be a place where drugs and violence rule. Pray for your daughter, tell her you love her and want her to live, and urge her toward repentance and toward treatment and counseling, and let her know that help and a different path are possible when she is willing to turn from drugs and from that abusive man and to accept rules that protect life.

The added burden of losing your home to repossession is very heavy. Ask your son, your pastor, and your church family to help you make a practical plan for housing and for next steps. God cares for your daily needs and He often provides through His people. Let the church know your situation plainly so they can help you with counsel, prayer, and practical support.

We are praying for you and your family now.

Father in heaven, we lift this dear widow to You in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation and access to You. Have mercy on her in her grief and depression. Lift her heart, give her strength to rise each day, surround her with faithful people who will not leave her alone, and guide her to wise counsel and care. Protect her and keep her safe in her home. Provide for her housing and daily needs. We pray for her daughter, that You would save her, deliver her from addiction and from the hold of an abusive man, open her eyes to the danger she is in, and bring her to repentance and to a desire for a clean and holy life. Protect her from further harm and bring her to people who can help her toward treatment and safety. We pray for her son, give him wisdom and love as he seeks to help his mother while holding right boundaries. Lead this whole family out of darkness into Your light, and teach them to trust You, to pray, and to walk in Your ways. Guard them and bring healing and peace through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Please stay connected to your church and let them know how you are doing day by day. You are loved and you are not alone.
