Disciple of Prayer
Hi everyone , are you please able to pray šŸ™ for me to Jesus Christ, I lost my husband a year ago and I’ve been struggling mentally and physically my whole world was taken away from me my heart broken šŸ’” 😢I’ve been struggling not wanting to get out of bed and go out for the past year, in my sleep I’m having nightmares and wake up screaming and crying my partners name to come back don’t go and it has started to affect my teeth as I must be grinding them I think and it’s made the bottom 3 move a bit , I’m praying my teeth get better with time and no major issues, I hurt my arms on my electric scooter and I’ve very worried I’ll get an infection or scars on my arms I’m praying it’s all ok and heals and no scaring , and lastly I’m worried I’ll be homeless and day with my daughter who is ### , I’m praying we can get some more time till the end of the year so we can find housing, that’s why I don’t want to get out of bed with all this stress , I’ve been thinking what’s the point in being alive and wish I could just fall asleep and not wake up 😢

We have heard your cry and we are lifting you and your daughter up together before the throne of grace in Jesus Christ, for you did well to call upon His name, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved and have access to the Father, as it is written Acts 4:12 and John 14:6.

We are so deeply sorry for the loss of your husband a year ago. To lose the one who was your whole world leaves a wound that only God can begin to heal, and we weep with you in this year of sorrow, sleepless nights, nightmares and grief that feels too heavy to carry. The Lord sees you and He is near to you in this brokenness, for Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit, and Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. He has not left you alone in that bed where you do not want to get up, and He has not left you alone when you wake screaming and crying out.

We understand why you have been thinking what is the point in being alive and wishing you could fall asleep and not wake up. That deep weariness is the weight of grief, stress, fear for housing, physical pain and exhaustion speaking, but we gently remind you that your life is precious to God and to your daughter who needs you, and God still has purpose for you. He says in Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. And Psalm 42:11 says Why are you in despair, my soul Why are you disturbed within me Hope in God For I shall still praise him for the saving help of his presence. Please do not walk through these dark thoughts alone. We urge you to reach out right away to a trusted pastor, a Christian counselor, your doctor, or a safe family member or friend, and if you ever feel you might act on these thoughts, please seek help immediately from someone near you or a crisis helpline in your area. You are loved and you are needed, and the Lord wants to carry you through this valley, for Isaiah 41:10 says Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

We are praying for your physical needs together. We pray for your sleep and for peace over your mind at night, that God would quiet the nightmares and give you rest, for Psalm 4:8 says In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety, and Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We pray for healing for your teeth that have been affected by grinding in your sleep from stress and grief, that God would protect them from further shifting and from major issues, and we encourage you to see a dentist soon for care and protection for your teeth, as God often heals through the hands of those who care for us. We pray for your arms injured on your electric scooter, that the Lord would keep infection far from you and bring complete healing without lasting scarring, and we encourage you to have those wounds properly cleaned and checked by a doctor and to keep them cared for. We pray for your body and mind that have been exhausted for a year, that the Lord who says in Matthew 11:28 Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest, would give you strength day by day to get out of bed, to go out again, and to find small steps of life renewed.

We are also praying for your housing and provision for you and your daughter. The fear of being homeless is a heavy burden, and we ask our Father to make a way for you to have more time until the end of the year and to find safe and stable housing. Philippians 4:19 says My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, and 1 Peter 5:7 says casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. We pray that God would open doors for assistance, favor with landlords or agencies, and the help of His people around you. Please reach out to your local church, to housing support services, and to trusted community help, and let them know your needs, for God often provides through His people.

We pray together now, Father in heaven, we lift this dear sister and her daughter to You in the name of Jesus Christ. Lord, You see her broken heart after losing her husband, You hear her crying in the night, You know the trauma that wakes her screaming. Have mercy and draw near as the One who heals the brokenhearted. Grant her Your peace that surpasses understanding to guard her heart and mind, give her restful sleep without nightmares, and calm her spirit. Touch her body, Lord, heal her teeth and keep them strong, heal her arms completely, let there be no infection and no lasting scars, and restore her physical strength. Lift the heavy depression that keeps her in bed, give her hope to live, remind her that You have not forsaken her and that her life is held in Your hands and is precious for her daughter and for Your purposes. Provide for her housing, Father, grant her more time until the end of the year and lead her to a safe home where she and her daughter can dwell in peace. Surround her with caring believers, counselors and helpers who will walk with her, and teach her to cast every worry on You because You care for her. Lead her when her heart is overwhelmed to the rock that is higher than she, as Psalm 61:2 says. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

We are grateful you wrote to us and let us know what you are carrying. Losing your husband a year ago and feeling like your whole world was taken away is an immense loss, and it is understandable that you feel heartbroken, exhausted, and overwhelmed. Waking from nightmares calling for him, not wanting to get out of bed, and holding worry about your teeth, your arms, and housing for you and your daughter is a very heavy load to carry alone.

We hear how weary you feel and those thoughts about wishing you could fall asleep and not wake up. Please do not stay alone with those thoughts. If you have a trusted family member, friend, pastor, or neighbor, let them know today how you are feeling, and we encourage you to connect soon with a counselor or your primary care provider who can walk with you personally in a way we cannot from here.

For the grinding and movement in your teeth and the injuries to your arms from the scooter, we encourage you to have a clinician look at them promptly alongside prayer, so you can get care and peace of mind. For the housing worry, reaching out this week to a local housing office, social services, or a church community may help you learn what options and support could be available to give you more time through the end of the year.

Father, we lift this mother and her daughter to You in Jesus name. You see her grief, her sleepless nights, her pain and fear about health and home. Draw near to her, surround her with caring people who will stay close, and guide her to the help she needs each day. Give her strength for the next step and remind her she is seen and loved. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your sorrow has been heard and it has moved us to prayer before the Lord Jesus Christ, who alone is our salvation and hope. The loss of your husband a year ago has left a wound that words cannot measure, and the Lord knows what it is to see a heart broken and a life made desolate. He has not turned away from your tears, your sleepless nights, your cries in the night when you wake screaming for him to come back. He is near to them that are of a broken heart and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

We are praying for you, that the God who heard the importunate widow though she had no promise and no constant access, will surely hear you who come through the blood of Christ with a promise and with constant access to the throne of grace. Keep crying to Him. It is the eloquence of grief, and when you must have the blessing and therefore cry for it, you shall have it. He who fed the widow of Sarepta in famine out of an inexhaustible barrel and an unfailing cruse knows how to sustain a widow and her child when the store seems spent. He has said, oppress not the widow nor the fatherless, and He Himself is a Father to the fatherless and a defender of widows. He sees you and your daughter.

We bring before the Lord each burden you have named. We ask Him to grant you rest from the nightmares and to quiet your spirit in sleep, to comfort you in your grief so that the heaviness that keeps you in bed may be lifted by His mercy. We ask Him to have compassion on your body, upon your teeth that have been troubled by grinding in distress, and upon your arms hurt upon the scooter, that He would guard you from infection and grant healing without lasting scarring, and guide you to wise care from a dentist and a doctor who can examine you with care. We ask Him to provide for your housing, that you and your daughter would not be left without shelter, and that the Lord would open a way for you to have time and help to find a safe home before the year ends.

You have written that you have thought what is the point in being alive and have wished you could fall asleep and not wake up. We hear the depth of that pain and we tell you plainly that your life is precious in the sight of God. Brief life is here our portion, and God has appointed its bounds, and He has purpose for you still, even in this valley. The Psalmist once spoke hastily in his distress, but afterwards he abhorred those words and clung again to the tender love and gracious care of God. So we pray the Lord will lift this darkness from you and show you that He has not forgotten you. Do not keep these thoughts to yourself. Please turn at once to a trusted pastor, a godly woman in your church, a family member, or your doctor, and tell them how you are suffering. If you feel you may act upon these thoughts, seek help without delay from a local minister, counselor, or medical professional, or a trusted crisis helpline in your area. You are not alone and you need not bear this alone.

We will continue to pray for you. May the Lord give you grace to rise day by day, to cast your burden upon Him, to seek help for body and mind, and to find in Christ a comfort that sustains you and your daughter through this sorrow.

Our prayer for you is this. O Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Thy Son, look upon this grieving widow and her child. Thou who art close to the brokenhearted, comfort her, forgive her sins through the blood of Christ, and give her new life in Him. Quiet her nights, heal her body, provide for her home, and set her feet upon a rock. Let her know that Thou hearest prayer and that Thou wilt not despise the cry of the needy. Keep her and her daughter in Thy mercy, and give her strength for each day, for Jesus sake. Amen.

Please keep letting us know how you are, and keep seeking the Lord and the help of His people near you.
