Disciple of Prayer
Hello, may you please pray that I stop talking to God. I am so tired of asking him for things and bothering him. I know he is annoyed with me and I am getting so ### over the fact that I'm not leaving him alone. I don't want to keep going on and I find myself going back to him over and over again. Please Help me to stop, I want him to forgive me because of my actions. So please for me ask God to give me the wisdom to stop talking to him and for me to stop thinking of him. I know it sounds foolish but that is how I feel. I'm not trying to be foolish but I have been talking to him for years and I suffer from ### and ### and I just need someone to understand me.

We hear the deep pain and exhaustion in your words, and we want you to know that your feelings are not foolish, they are real, and they matter. But we must gently yet firmly correct the misunderstanding at the heart of your request. You do not need to stop talking to God. In fact, the very idea that He is annoyed with you or that you are "bothering" Him could not be further from the truth.

The Bible tells us in 1 Peter 5:7, "Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." And in Matthew 11:28, Jesus Himself says, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest." God does not grow weary of His children coming to Him. He invites us to come, again and again, because He loves us with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3). The problem is not that you are talking to Him too much, it is that you may not fully grasp how deeply He desires to hear from you, especially in your suffering.

You mentioned struggling with and, we do not know what those struggles are, but we know this: God already knows them, and He is not surprised or disappointed by them. He is not waiting for you to "get it right" before He will listen. He is waiting for you to come to Him as you are, with all your weariness, your doubts, and your pain. Psalm 34:18 says, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." You are not a burden to Him. You are His beloved child.

Now, let us address the idea of asking for forgiveness for "bothering" Him. If you feel unworthy or ashamed, that is not from God. Romans 8:1 declares, "There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." If you have placed your trust in Jesus, you are already forgiven, not because of anything you have done, but because of what He has done for you on the cross. You do not need to earn His love or His attention. You already have it.

We must also gently correct the idea of wanting to "stop thinking of Him." God is not the source of your exhaustion, He is the source of your strength. Trying to push Him away will only leave you more empty. Instead, we encourage you to bring all of your feelings to Him, even the ones that make you want to run. Tell Him, "Lord, I feel like I’m bothering You. I feel unworthy. I feel tired." He can handle your honesty. In fact, He welcomes it.

Let us pray for you now:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for our brother/sister who is feeling so weary and alone. Lord, we ask that You would break the lie that You are annoyed or burdened by their prayers. Remind them of Your unfailing love, Your endless patience, and Your deep compassion. Father, we pray that You would lift the weight of shame from their shoulders and replace it with the truth of Your grace. Help them to see that You are not a distant God, but a loving Father who delights in His children coming to Him. Lord, we ask that You would heal their heart, renew their strength, and fill them with Your peace. Remind them that in their weakness, Your power is made perfect. Help them to rest in You, not run from You. And if they have not yet fully surrendered their life to Jesus, we pray that You would draw them close, reveal Your love to them, and lead them into a relationship with You that brings true rest and hope. In the precious name of Jesus, we pray, Amen."

Friend, we want to encourage you with this: God is not tired of you. He is not frustrated with you. He is for you. The fact that you keep coming back to Him, even when it feels hard, is not a sign of failure, it is a sign of faith. Even if it is just a mustard seed of faith, Jesus said that is enough (Matthew 17:20).

If you are struggling with and , we urge you to seek godly counsel, perhaps from a pastor, a Christian counselor, or a trusted believer who can walk with you. You do not have to carry this alone. And please, do not stop talking to God. Instead, talk to Him more. Tell Him everything. He is listening, He cares, and He is able to carry what you cannot.

Lastly, if you have never truly placed your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we want to share this with you: Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for your sins, and He rose again so that you could have eternal life. Salvation is not about being "good enough", it is about surrendering to Him and receiving His gift of grace. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." If you would like to pray to receive Christ, we would be honored to guide you in that.

You are not a bother. You are loved. Keep coming to Him. He is waiting with open arms.

We hear how tired you are, and we won’t pray for you to stop talking to God. Not because we are ignoring what you asked, but because we don’t believe He wants you to stop. The heaviness you are carrying, and the sense that He is annoyed with you, is not the truth about who He is. Prayer is not a nuisance to Him. Even when you feel like you are repeating yourself or going back over and over, He is not standing at a distance keeping score.

We are asking Him instead to quiet the shame and exhaustion in your heart, and to help you rest in the truth that He welcomes you. The depression and anxiety you mentioned make everything feel heavier, and you should not have to carry that alone. Please consider talking with a trusted pastor, Christian counselor, or doctor about what you are experiencing. Seeking help is not a failure of faith; it is part of letting people help carry the weight.

Father, thank you that you are patient and near. For this person who feels like a burden to you, replace that fear with your welcome. Calm the racing thoughts and the self-criticism. Give them wisdom to reach out for support, and enough peace to keep bringing you what is real. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Please do not stop talking to God. He wants us to have a relationship with Him and doing so is by communicating with Him on a daily basis. You are not a burden to God. He wants to hear from you; tell Him your troubles, what you are thinking, how you feel, while also giving Him thanks. Praying that you will continue seeking God.

You have it all backwards, and I must in love tell you so. I cannot ask God to make you stop speaking to Him, because Scripture commands you to call upon Him and promises that He will hear. Your weariness is real, and I do not make light of those afflictions of mind you describe, but your conclusion is a dark fancy, not the truth. God is not annoyed with a poor soul that keeps crying to Him. The promise is, Call upon Me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify Me. He does not say, Call once and then leave Me alone. He says, Open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it. You have talked to Him for years; that is no offense. The dead do not pray. The devil would love to silence you, but the Holy Spirit is drawing you to the mercy seat.

You say you are tired of asking Him for things and bothering Him. But to the man who has a great need, God says, Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it. It is not a burden for God to hear His children. It honors Him when a man in distress casts himself upon God and believes that He is able to help. You think you are pestering Him; you are actually honoring His all-sufficiency. In Him we live and move and have our being. God is not far from you. Because your own heart is dark, you imagine God's heart is far from you, but it is not so. Jesus Christ has made you near by His blood, if you are trusting in Him.

I will pray for you, but not for a tongue made silent. I will pray that the Lord will teach you to pray without the torment. I will ask Him to quiet the lie that says you are a nuisance to heaven. I will ask Him to show you that your groaning is not an offense but an acceptable sacrifice through Jesus. Do not seek forgiveness for calling upon your Father; seek forgiveness for believing Him to be hard. He has opened the door of mercy; He does not invite intending to repulse. Men ought always to pray, and not to faint, and when they feel that they are fainting, they should resolve to pray with double earnestness. The Lord bless thee and give thee rest in Christ.

Don't stop talking to God. He is not annoyed with you. He knows what you're going through. Give all your troubles to Him, and He will give you peace.
