please give me peace

Servant of All
Dear Heavenly Father, please grant me peace, also quiet my anxious and worrisome heart and mind. The govt atty has not responded to me for a week already about the roadwidening sale or compensation that the govt will pay us after 2018 taking of a portion of our lot. our atty made some additional facts to the contract and asked me to have them revised so i sent them to the govt atty, she has not responded up to now. i am worried that she may not like the delays that i did and also the revisions. Lord i submit it to Your will. i pray in Jesus name amen.

We join you in bringing this burden before the Lord and we thank you for submitting it to His will and for praying in the precious name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. We rejoice that you have come in His name.

We understand how heavy this waiting feels. A week of silence from the government attorney after you sent the revisions for the road widening compensation, especially for a taking that happened back in ###, can stir up anxious and worrisome thoughts. We hear your concern that the delays and the additional facts your attorney added to the contract might have caused displeasure, and we lift that worry with you to the One who holds all authorities and all outcomes in His hands.

The Lord invites us to exchange our anxiety for His peace. We are reminded in Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And again in John 14:27, Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives, do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful. His peace is not dependent on a quick reply or a favorable contract, but on His faithful presence with us.

We encourage you to cast this specific care on Him, as we read in 1 Peter 5:7, casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. He cares about this land, this compensation, and the justice owed to you. He also cares about the quietness of your heart and mind. Isaiah 26:3 promises, You will keep whoever's mind is steadfast in perfect peace, because he trusts in you. As you keep your mind stayed on Him rather than on the silence of the attorney, He will guard you.

We also encourage you in this season of waiting to rest and be still before Him. Psalm 37:7 says, Rest in Yahweh, and wait patiently for him. And in Psalm 46:10, Be still, and know that I am God. The government and its attorneys are under His sovereignty as well, for Romans 13:1 reminds us that there is no authority except from God. He can move hearts, open doors, and bring about a just and fair resolution in His perfect timing, even when the process feels slow and uncertain. We trust with you in Romans 8:28 that God works all things together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose.

We pray together with you now.

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up our dear one who is carrying this anxious burden. Lord, we ask that You grant the deep, abiding peace that only You can give. Quiet the anxious and worrisome heart and mind, calm every fearful thought about delays and revisions, and guard this heart with Your peace which surpasses all understanding. Help us to trust You more than we fear man or circumstances.

Father, we place this road widening matter fully in Your hands. You saw the taking of the portion of the lot in ### and You know what is just and right concerning the sale and compensation. We ask for Your favor upon this process. We pray for the government attorney, that You would give her clarity, diligence, and a spirit of fairness, and that You would prompt her to respond in a timely and just manner. We pray for wisdom for our friend's own attorney and for all who are reviewing the contract and the additional facts, that the final agreement would be truthful, clear, and just for all parties. Let Your will be done, Lord, and let justice be established.

Teach us to wait patiently on You and not to be troubled by silence or delay. Help us to be steadfast in prayer with thanksgiving, knowing You hear us and You care for us. We submit this entire situation to Your perfect will and timing, believing You are working even when we cannot see it. Strengthen faith and grant restful sleep and a quiet mind. We ask all these things in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, our hope and our peace, amen.

Thank you for letting us pray with you about this. Waiting for an answer when money and property and a lot of history since ### are involved can make every quiet day feel louder, and we understand why your heart and mind feel restless while you wait on the government attorney.

It is understandable to wonder if the delay or the revisions upset her, but in our experience a week of silence from a government office is often just the pace of that work, not a sign of displeasure. Your own attorney asked for those revisions for a good reason, to protect you, and sending them was the right thing to do.

Something that may help quiet the worry a little is to get a clear next check in point with your own attorney. We would encourage you to ask him how long a response like this usually takes with this office, and agree together on when a polite follow up makes sense and who will send it. Having that date on the calendar can keep you from feeling you have to watch for a reply every hour, and lets you rest a bit in between while still staying on top of it.

We are carrying this with you before the Lord.

Father, we ask You to gently quiet our friend's heart and mind today and give steady peace while this waits in Your hands. Give wisdom to both attorneys and clarity in the next steps for this compensation, and help our friend to rest in Your care through each day. In Jesus' name, amen.

The longing for peace which you have poured out is itself a prayer that God delights to answer, for He has thoughts of peace towards His people and not of evil, to give an expected end. You are cast into perplexity by this waiting, and the silence of a week feels long, yet remember that the infinite God has thoughts of peace towards you, and your own thoughts may become thoughts of peace all the day as you stay your mind upon Him.

It is written, Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee, because he trusteth in Thee. That perfect peace is not found in the prompt reply of an attorney, nor in the settling of a contract, nor in the compensation for land taken. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, even when duties press and sorrows surge around. When the conscience is tender and the heart loves God's law, there is great peace of mind, not because all outward things are settled, but because the heart is kept by trusting in the Lord. To love His law is to cease from covetous grasping and to find rest in doing His will, and to do the will of Jesus is rest.

All things are under regulation and have an appointed place in God's plan, and nothing happens but what He permits or ordains. As surely as God's will is the axle of the universe, so in grace we may rest assured that He is King, having mercy on whom He will have mercy, and working in His people to will and to do of His good pleasure. It is of no use to quarrel with God. When your will is brought to delight in God's will, the fangs of the serpent are extracted and the sorrow is sucked out of the sorrow by the lips of acquiescence. You have well said, Lord I submit it to Your will. Hold fast to that submission.

There is a waiting God and there is a waiting people, and blessed are all they that wait for Him. He waits that He may be gracious, and though His promise may tarry it never fails. Certain of God's people are in trouble and eager for immediate rescue, and like children they snatch at unripe fruit, but God will surely deliver in due season. You cannot alter God's providential arrangements, so would it not be better that you should be altered so as to suit the providence and be resigned to the will of God. You have done what was right in seeking to have the contract revised truthfully, and you have sent what was needful. You have nothing to do with the delay beyond that, that is His business and God's. Go and do the right thing and then be no longer anxious about it, but leave the result with God.

May the Lord quiet your anxious and worrisome heart and mind. May He keep you in peace, perfect peace, as you trust in Him, and teach you to wait patiently upon Him who never forgets to be gracious.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, Thou knowest the care that weighs upon this Thy child, the waiting for word concerning this land and compensation, the fear that delay or revision has caused displeasure. Grant perfect peace to a mind stayed on Thee. Forgive anxious thoughts and still the heart with Thy thoughts of peace. Guide the hands of those in authority, give wisdom to attorneys on both sides, and let justice and integrity prevail. Above all, conform this heart to Thy holy will, that whether the answer comes quickly or tarries, there may be resignation and trust in Thy good providence. Keep this one in Thy keeping, and let the peace that passeth understanding guard heart and mind through Christ Jesus. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer for peace has been heard, and we join you in bringing your anxious heart before the Lord. You have told us honestly of the waiting and worry you carry, a week without answer from the government attorney about the compensation for the portion of your lot taken in ###, and your concern that the delays and the revisions your own attorney requested may have caused displeasure. It is right that you have submitted all of this to the will of God, and we will pray with you that you may find rest in Him while you wait.

Scripture teaches us that there are different kinds of war and different kinds of peace. There is the outward trouble of courts and contracts and governments, and there is the inward war when the soul is at variance with itself through anxiety and fear. The outward peace of this world is often uncertain and beyond our control, but the peace that God gives is steadfast and rules within the heart. When two thoughts wrestle inside us, one urging us to fear and to avenge our worries and the other calling us to endure and trust, we are to let the peace of God act as umpire. That peace does not come because we have forced an answer from others, but because God Himself has made peace with us through Christ. It is the mother of all good things and the foundation of joy, and it guards the heart even when outward circumstances remain unsettled.

Therefore we encourage you to keep seeking that inner peace first. Bring your requests to God with thanksgiving, as you have done, and ask Him to quiet your mind and to keep your thoughts at rest in Christ. Pray also for those in authority, as we are taught to pray for kings and governors, that God would give them wisdom and fairness and that you may be able to lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. Continue to act with honesty and patience in this matter, trusting that God sees the delays and knows your desire to do what is right. Use this time of waiting not to feed anxiety by constantly looking for a reply, but to grow in trust and to rest in His care, knowing that even delays can be used for good when we commit our way to Him.

We pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we thank You that You invite us to cast all our anxiety on You because You care for us. We ask You to grant to our brother and sister the peace that surpasses all understanding, to quiet the anxious and worrisome heart and mind, and to let Your peace rule within. Calm every fear about this contract and this compensation, and help them to rest in Your perfect will and timing. Grant wisdom and goodwill to both attorneys, that what is just and honest may be done, and give favor and clarity in the communication that is still pending. Teach us all to trust You more than we trust outward resolutions, and to know that You are our true security and provision. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who is our peace. Amen.

We are praying with you and for a just and peaceful resolution in God's time.
