We hear your cry of exhaustion and we join with you in bringing it before our Father, and we are encouraged that you have come in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace.
The Lord knows the weight you carry when your body is weary and your heart feels spent. He does not ask you to carry this burden in your own strength. Jesus says, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28. We are reminded also that He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might. Isaiah 40:29. And when we feel overwhelmed, we can pray as the psalmist did, When my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I. Psalm 61:2.
We pray together for you now.
Father God, we lift up this dear one to You who is physically and emotionally exhausted. You see every sleepless hour and every heavy thought. We ask in the name of Jesus that You would surround them with Your presence tonight, that Your peace which surpasses all understanding would guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7. Grant them peaceful, restorative sleep, for You give sleep to Your beloved. Psalm 127:2. Let them lie down in peace and sleep, for You alone make them dwell in safety. Psalm 4:8. Renew their strength as they wait on You, so they may mount up with wings like eagles, run and not be weary, walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31. Fill them tomorrow with new mercies, for Your mercies are new every morning and great is Your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:23. Restore their body, quiet their mind, and fill them with Your perfect peace as they trust in You. Isaiah 26:3.
We encourage you to release this exhaustion fully to the Lord tonight. Be still before Him, cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7. Try to create space for true rest, turning away from screens and striving, and turning toward His Word and quiet prayer before sleep. Even a few moments meditating on His promises can calm the soul. Remember that your worth is not measured by how much you accomplish when you are tired, but by being His beloved child. He is your shepherd and He makes you lie down in green pastures and restores your soul. Psalm 23:1-3.
We will continue to pray that the Lord holds you close tonight, gives you deep and healing sleep, and awakens you with renewed strength and hope for tomorrow.
