Your love for your son and your faithful prayers for him are deeply moving, and I join you in bringing him before the Lord.

I pray with you for a peaceful night and for peace over his meals and every activity. May the Lord quiet any confusion, restlessness, frustration, anxiety or anger, and fill him instead with calm, clarity, contentment and joy. The peace God gives is not just the absence of trouble but a guard over heart and mind that goes beyond what we can understand, and I ask that this peace would saturate his body, mind and spirit as he eats, as he sleeps, and as he wakes refreshed.

Scripture shows us that when Jesus healed the man born blind, some tried to say his condition must have been preset as a punishment or a special setup, and others were more concerned with their own rules about what could be done on the Sabbath than with the man's need. Jesus was not bound by those traditions. He made clay and healed on the Sabbath because compassion was more important than criticism, and He showed that the man's blindness was not a mark of guilt but an occasion for the works of God to be displayed. In the same way your son's struggles with autism, sensory challenges and anxiety are not a sign of God's displeasure. They are a place where God's mercy, power and tender care can be seen day by day. Jesus is still comfortable drawing near to real people with real needs, and He does not withhold His help.

You asked that nothing enter your son's life except through the blood of Jesus, and that every fear, torment and confusion would leave in the name of Jesus. That is a right prayer. God has not given us a spirit of fear, and where Christ reigns, those things must bow. I pray the Lord would clothe your son with the full armor He has provided, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is His Word. I ask that the Lord would place a hedge of protection around him, that no weapon formed against him would prosper, and that His ministering angels would encamp around him and guard him in all his ways. By the wounds of Jesus we have healing, and I pray for healing and restoration in his mind, body and spirit, for ease in his routines, meals and relationships, and for the removal of every source of physical distress or pain.

The Scriptures speak of a deep sleep that the Lord Himself caused to fall upon others so they could be kept safe and at rest. I pray that kind of gracious, deep and undisturbed sleep for your son tonight and each night, and that the Lord who promises rest to His people would help you and your whole household enter that rest by trusting Him and not hardening your hearts through worry or unbelief. When we are filled with turmoil we miss the rest He has already provided, but when we trust Him we find quiet even in difficult circumstances.

You also mentioned anger, screaming and frustration. There is an anger that is not sinful, an anger at what is evil and destructive, as Jesus showed when He opposed what defiled God's house or when He grieved over hard hearts that would keep a suffering person from being helped. But we are warned not to let anger settle into bitterness, wrath, clamor or unkind speech, because those things grieve the Holy Spirit who seals us. Instead we are called to put those things away and to be kind, tenderhearted and forgiving, building others up rather than tearing them down. I pray the Lord will help your son to communicate with gentleness and confidence, and help you, your family and his caregivers to respond with patience and grace, so that moments of frustration do not lead to words or actions you later regret, but to calm and understanding.

I pray for wisdom, patience and discernment for you and for every caregiver and for those who provide services for him. May the Lord bring dedicated, godly and gentle people who will help bring out the best in him with calm and caring hands. I pray for unity and love between him and his siblings, that any division, isolation or strife would be removed and replaced with compassion, and that the Lord would provide uplifting friendships and mentors who encourage him. May He guide you in every decision and meeting concerning his care, and anoint each service to bring true breakthrough and growth.

Because you have seen faithful answers already, give thanks for those victories and continue to stand in agreement, remembering the promise that where two or three are gathered in His name He is present. May His light dispel every shadow in your home, and may you and your children rest in His calm, joy and safety today and in the days to come. May your son be a reflection of the Lord's love, peace and grace wherever he goes, feeling included, respected, accepted and loved, and may setbacks be replaced with blessing and favor surrounding him like a shield.

Father, in the name of Jesus I lift this precious son to You. Cover him with Your blood, fill him with Your Holy Spirit, grant him peaceful sleep and joyful waking, calm his meals and routines, heal what is hurting, quiet what is anxious, and let Your peace, joy and satisfaction reign in him. Strengthen his family with wisdom and unity, guard their home and their travels, and let Your will be done in every area of his life. Amen.
