Peaceful Night

We join with you in bringing your son before the Lord and we thank you for sharing this burden with us. Your love for him and your faithful persistence in prayer are evident, and we hear your desire for him to know the peace of God that surpasses all understanding in every part of his life, day and night, in meals and rest and all his daily activities.

We pray with you that the Lord will grant him a peaceful night tonight and many peaceful nights to come. We ask that God will calm any confusion, restlessness, anger, anxiety, fear and frustration, and that He will quiet rigid habits and sensory distress. We ask for His healing and restoring hand upon your son's mind, body and spirit, and for relief from any physical discomfort or pain that troubles him. May he eat in peace, sleep without disturbance, and wake refreshed and strengthened in the joy of the Lord.

Scripture reminds us that He who keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps, and that He watches over His children at all hours. Night itself is a gift from God, a haven of rest for our weariness, and we pray that your son will receive it as such. We ask that the Lord will surround him with His hedge of protection, clothe him in truth, righteousness, faith and salvation, and guard him through His Word. We pray that no weapon formed against him will prosper and that ministering angels will encamp around him as he rests.

We also lift up you, your family, and all who care for him. We pray that God will fill you and his caregivers with wisdom, patience, discernment and gentleness, and that He will provide dedicated, caring and godly helpers who will bring out the best in him with calm and kindness. We pray for peace and unity in your home, for strengthened bonds between him and his siblings in love and compassion, and for the removal of any division, strife or harmful influence. May the Lord guide you in every meeting and decision concerning his care and services, and grant you clarity to choose what is right and helpful for him.

We stand together with you in agreement, trusting that God hears our prayers through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved and by whose wounds we are healed. We do not claim to know all of His perfect timing and ways, but we trust His goodness and His promise to work all things for the good of those who love Him. We ask for continued breakthrough, growth in communication with gentleness and confidence, and satisfaction in his routines and relationships, all according to the Father's perfect will.

May the Lord guard your household and keep you steadfast, filling your home with His calm, light and safety. May He grant you rest as you continue to watch and pray, knowing that He is awake and faithful even when we sleep.

Father, we place your son into Your hands tonight. Cover him with Your peace, settle his heart and body, and let Your presence fill his room. Grant him quiet sleep and joyful waking, and grant his mother and all who love him strength and hope for each new day. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, Amen.
