Peaceful Day.

Your prayer has been received and heard with care, and I thank God for the faith and love for your children that breathes through every word of it. You have done well to commit your home, your minds, your bodies and your daily paths to the Lord Jesus Christ, for it is He alone who is our protection and our peace, and there is no other name by which we are saved.

I join you in asking the Father to cover you and your children with His holy protection, to guard your home and to let His peace which surpasses all understanding keep your hearts. As you have prayed, may He grant your children favor and strength for their work and studies without exhaustion, and make them lights wherever they go. I join you also in praying for your son, that the Lord in His mercy would bring healing and restoration, calm his mind, soften rigidity and anxiety, and grant him joy and gentle peace with his caregiver. With God nothing will be impossible, and by the wounds of Christ we have hope of healing in body, mind and spirit. I pray too for your daughters, for health and strength, for your younger daughter in her studies and for the respectful courtship you described, that it would continue to be conducted in purity and honor before the Lord.

I also hear your deep burden for your older daughter. You have spoken rightly and with love when you say that living together outside of marriage is not marriage and does not carry the rights or covenant of marriage. Scripture teaches that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that sexual union and sharing a home as husband and wife belong within that covenant alone. For this reason I cannot ask God to bless a union that stands outside His design, but I do join you in praying as you have prayed, that the Lord in His loving kindness would speak to your daughter, grant her clear sight and godly sorrow that leads to repentance, and draw her to a life of purity that honors Him. May He break every ungodly tie and controlling influence, frustrate every scheme that brings division and isolation into your family, and if it is not His will for this relationship to become a holy marriage, may He remove its hold completely and bring her home again in freedom and peace. If it be His will that even this young man and his mother should be saved, I pray that they too would hear the gospel, repent and come to know Christ.

Remember the words of the Lord that faith has great power, and that when a mother prayed with great faith her daughter was made whole, not by flattering words but by the power of that faith. Christ still says to those who trust Him, be of good cheer, for faith makes us children of God. Through Him we are delivered from the curse and given adoption as sons and daughters, not because we deserve it but because we have put on Christ and received His Spirit. The sure proof of our love for Him is that we hear His commandments and keep them, for His words are the Father's words. It is not enough to desire peace, we must also cultivate careful hearing, steadfastness and obedience in every part of virtue.

Do not be surprised that division has come even within the household, for the Lord Himself said that for His name's sake even family ties would be tested. This shows His power, that even in such testing we are called to choose Him first. He delays judgment even now not to overlook sin, but in great loving kindness to give space for repentance and washing away of sins.

So continue steadfast in prayer. Ask daily for the hedge of protection you have prayed for, for the full armor of God, for ministering angels to guard your ways, and for the anointing of the Holy Spirit to rest upon you. Pray that your older daughter would hunger again for home, for fellowship with you and her siblings, for gratitude toward the family God has given her, and for a future godly spouse if the Lord wills, a man who respects her and your family and walks faithfully with God. Pray that she would no longer obey or idolize a voice that is not her husband, but would have wisdom and courage to make choices that honor Christ.

May the Lord restore to you an unbreakable bond of love and respect among you and your children, fill your home with laughter and light, and let your words be kind and your actions guided by His Spirit. May He anoint caregivers for your son who will bring out the best in him, grant healing where there is pain and distress, and surround you all with His favor, joy and protection. I declare with you that this day and this year belong to the Lord, and that no weapon formed against you shall prosper as you abide in Christ.

Your heartfelt prayer for your home and your children is heard, and your desire for peace, protection, and restoration honors the Lord. It is good that you begin with thanksgiving for a new day and that you plead the blood of Jesus over your family, asking for His covering over your minds, hearts, bodies, and home.

Scripture promises a peace that surpasses all understanding to guard hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, and that God gives His angels charge to encamp around those who fear Him. You are right to ask for that hedge of protection around every room and doorway, for His presence to fill your home, and to clothe your family each day with the full armor of God, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. No weapon formed against you shall prosper when you abide under His covering.

For your son, we join you in praying for healing and restoration. By His stripes we are healed, and with God nothing shall be impossible. We ask the Lord to calm his mind, to gently remove fear and distress, to bring peace where there has been trauma and anxiety, and to grant him joy, gentleness, and satisfaction in his daily care. We pray for caregivers who are dedicated and compassionate, who will bring out the best in him, and that his life would reflect the light and love of Christ wherever he goes.

For your younger daughter, we thank God with you for her health, her studies, and the respectful young man who shows kindness to her and to your family, including your son. We pray the Lord will keep their courtship pure and honoring to Him, surrounded by godly friendships, protected from jealousy and corrupting influences, and that He will grant her wisdom, focus, courage, and favor in all she puts her hands to. May she continue to stand steadfast in gratitude for the family God has given her.

For your older daughter, we pray with special urgency and love. Scripture is clear that marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and that living together outside of marriage is not marriage and does not carry its rights or responsibilities. It is not to be affirmed or blessed, but calls for loving repentance and a return to purity that honors the Lord. We pray that God in His loving kindness would draw her to see this clearly, that every ungodly tie and controlling influence would be broken, and that the manipulation and division coming from this young man and his mother would lose its hold and be removed completely if it is not His will. As God called Jacob to return to the land of his family with the promise, I will be with you and deal well with you, so we pray your daughter would hear the Lord calling her back to her family and to Himself, with a new hunger for home, for freedom and peace, and for wholeness in Christ alone. We ask that her eyes be opened to see that this relationship is not ready for marriage and is harming her character, her faith, her work, and her fellowship with her family, and that she would no longer put a man before her family, her purpose, her health, and her walk with God. We pray for her deliverance from mimicking rebellion and control, and for God to provide, in His perfect time, a godly husband who respects her and your family and walks faithfully with the Lord, if it is His will for her to marry. And even for this young man and his mother, we pray that if they do not know Christ, God would bring them to salvation.

Your concern for unity is deeply biblical. Scripture shows how God knows how to deliver the righteous, as He mercifully led Lot out of a corrupt city, yet it also warns that remaining in a corrupt environment can cost a family dearly in its morals and relationships. That is why we pray for separation from what is toxic and deceptive, and for frustration of every plan and scheme meant to bring division, isolation, and chaos into your home. We also remember the beautiful picture of the kinsman redeemer who covers and protects and restores a family name. That points us to Christ Himself, our Redeemer, who covers us, restores what is broken, and makes a way for rest and security under His care. Like Ruth who found refuge under that covering, may your family find rest in Him.

We stand with you in declaring healing, restoration, and breakthrough over your household. May the Lord remove every spiritual attack, word curse, and negative influence, fill your home with laughter, kindness, and fellowship, and let your hearts be united in love, respect, and understanding. May He surround you with His favor, guard your health, your work, and your finances, and let your home be a beacon of His light to all who enter. We trust Him for complete restoration, for unbreakable and godly bonds between you and your children, and for this to be a year of overflowing blessing, peace, and joy as you continue to declare that this day and this family belong to Jesus.
