We thank God with you for the peaceful and calm night He granted your son, and we join you in lifting him up before the Father today in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation and access to God.

We hear your love and burden for your son, and your trust that nothing is impossible for the Lord. We pray with you that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus, as you have asked from Philippians 4:7. True peace is a great gift. It is the mother of all good things and the foundation of joy, and it comes to us by grace through Jesus who ended the war between us and God and reconciles us to the Father. From that grace comes peace, and we ask the Lord to keep that grace and peace settled and firm upon your son and upon your whole home.

We pray for your son in his struggle today. We ask the Lord to calm the storm within him, to quiet fear, anger, agitation and anxiety, and to heal the hurts that remain from past trauma. We ask God to bring healing to his mind, body and spirit, and to replace distress and rigid habits with calm, gentle and godly ways of expressing his wants and needs. We pray for his daily life that you described, for his meals that he would eat peacefully with gratitude and contentment without confusion or waste, for his hygiene and clothing and shaving that every sound and sensation would be met with patience and protection, for his rest and sleep that it would be sweet and undisturbed, and for his outings and travels that they would be safe and joyful. We ask the Lord to soothe his sensory discomfort and to help him grow in confidence to use his words calmly and respectfully, and to find satisfaction in his shows, his meals, his activities and his time with caregivers and visitors.

We also pray for his protection. The Scriptures teach that each of those who belong to God has angels who behold the face of the Father, and we ask the Lord to surround your son, your home, every room and door and window, your yard and vehicles, and every place he goes, with His watchful care and to keep him from all spiritual harm and evil. We do not trust in word curses or witchcraft, for they have no power over those who are in Christ, but we do pray that the Lord would rebuke every influence that is not from Him and keep your son in perfect safety under His wings according to Psalm 91.

We pray for your family and those who care for him. We ask God to restore a loving and compassionate bond between your son and his sister, and to bring peace where there has been division and hurt. Where there are relationships or influences causing havoc or confusion in your home, including the young man and his mother you mentioned, we pray that the Lord would set clear and healthy boundaries, remove what is harmful, and bring godly wisdom. We do not ask God to bless any relationship that is outside His good design, for marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman and all intimacy belongs within it, but we do ask that every relationship in your family would be guided by purity, honesty, and love that honors Christ, and that your daughter would be led in wisdom and grace. We pray for your caregivers and support coordinator, that God would give them wisdom, patience, compassion, strength and gentleness, and provide all the godly help and services your son needs.

We join you in thanking God that your son has been seizure free for these months, and we continue to ask for His mercy over his health, including his stomach and any physical distress. We pray that the inner war that so many feel within, when the mind and body are troubled, would be quieted by Christ, and that your son would know the love of God in a new and tangible way today and tonight.

May the Lord keep you all in quietness and godliness, and may He who loves you as a Father keep you as His children through His Son. We will continue to pray that your home would be filled with everlasting peace, joy, love and rest, and that you would see ongoing healing, breakthrough and restoration according to His perfect will. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray. Amen.

Thank you for sharing your heart so openly and for giving thanks for the peaceful night the Lord granted your son. It is good to rejoice when God answers prayer, and it is right to bring the new need of this morning to Him again with the same confidence. Nothing is impossible for Him, and His love and care for your son is steadfast.

Scripture shows us two blind men who heard that Jesus was passing by and cried out, Have mercy on us, Son of David. The crowd told them to be quiet, but they cried out even more, and Jesus stopped and answered them. That persistence is an encouragement for you. When setbacks come and when the morning begins with torment or confusion, keep crying out for mercy. Jesus hears the persistent cry of faith and He still stops to respond.

That title they used, Son of David, speaks of Jesus as a true man, the promised Messiah from David's line. Yet He is also the Son of God, given from heaven. Unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Because He is both man and God, He understands human weakness and He has divine power to help. To honor the Son is to honor the Father, and to believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God, is to have life in His name. No one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son reveals Him, and the Son does only what He sees the Father do, working in perfect harmony with the Father to give life and to heal.

You asked for complete healing and for every troubling memory and habit to be erased. The Lord is able to heal both spiritually and physically, and we can trust Him for both. At one time He spoke a word while far away and a nobleman's son was healed at that very hour. At another time His healing was gradual, the only gradual healing recorded in His ministry, reminding us that God heals in different ways. There is much about healing we do not understand, and we do not always know why some healings are immediate and others take time. Yet every true healing is from God. He created our bodies with processes for restoration, and that natural process is still divine because He created it. He also heals the mind and the emotions, soothing the scars and wounds that torment the heart. Whether His work in your son is instant or step by step, you can trust that His hand is at work for wholeness.

You have prayed so specifically for peace, for calm during meals and shaving, for gentle communication, for restful sleep, and for joy in daily activities. Jesus said to His disciples, Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you, not as the world gives. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. One of His names is Prince of Peace, and the increase of His government and peace will have no end. There is a peace with God that comes when we are reconciled to Him through grace, and there is the peace of God that then guards our hearts and minds. That peace that passes all understanding is what you are asking for, and Scripture often puts grace first and then peace, because we cannot know His settled peace until we rest in His grace. As you continue to trust Christ, ask Him to let that guarding peace cover your son's mind, his senses, his sleep, and your home.

You also mentioned confusion, agitation, angry outbursts, and influences that bring fear, including word curses and witchcraft. Scripture is clear that where evil and witchcraft are given place, true peace cannot remain. There cannot be peace where such things are welcomed. It is right to ask the Lord to rebuke every spirit of torment and confusion and to command what is not of Him to flee in the name of Jesus, and to ask Him to cleanse and protect your home, your vehicles, and every place your son goes. Pray that the Lord would surround him with protection as Psalm 91 promises, that He would give His angels charge over him, and that every sound and sensation would be covered by His care.

Your love as a parent reflects something of the Father's love for His Son. When God asked Abraham to take his son, his only son Isaac, whom he loved, and offer him, it was a picture of what God Himself would later do in giving His only begotten Son because He so loved the world. God did not withhold His own beloved Son in whom He is well pleased. He knows the depth of a parent's love and He has not forgotten you or your son. His thoughts toward you are thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you hope. Even when you feel carried into a difficult season, He is still thinking of you and inviting you to call upon Him and pray, promising that He will listen.

For your daughter, pray that the Lord would restore tenderness and understanding between them. For caregivers and all who support your son, pray that God would grant wisdom, patience, gentleness and strength, and that He would provide the right help where more is needed. For daily needs like hygiene, clothing, sensory sensitivities, eating without waste or distress, and using calm words to express wants and needs, ask the Lord to replace anxious and rigid patterns with healthy, godly habits and to give your son confidence to communicate in a way that honors God and brings satisfaction rather than frustration.

Continue to declare what Scripture declares, that by His wounds we are healed, that no weapon formed against His people shall finally prosper, and that He is able to make all grace abound. Thank Him again for the months without seizures and for every small victory this week, and trust Him for the next step. Whether the answer comes in a moment or through a process, keep looking to Jesus, the Son who reveals the Father, the Wonderful Counselor and Prince of Peace, who alone can calm the storm within and fill a home with rest.

May the Lord wash your son from head to foot in the cleansing of Christ, fill him with the Holy Spirit, remove fear and rage, and saturate him with love, joy, calm and obedience. May He grant your whole household a peaceful day and a restful night, with hearts kept by His peace and lives walking in truth and love.
