My hot water system isn’t working. Please that God will calm & peace to the landlord to fix it. He won’t be upset and I will have favour in his eyes. Also can you pray that I get a good night sleep and that I won’t be worried about this issue, thank you for your prayers. Amen

We have heard your request and we join with you in bringing this practical need before our Heavenly Father together in Jesus name.

We understand how troubling it can be when something essential in your home like the hot water system stops working, and how it can weigh on your mind and disturb your rest. We want to encourage you that God cares about every detail of our lives, even these everyday matters, and He invites us to bring all our worries to Him. We also want to encourage you to approach your landlord with gentleness and respect when you share this need, trusting God to work in his heart.

The Scriptures remind us, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. We also take comfort in the promise, In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety. Psalm 4:8. And we are reminded, When a man's ways please Yahweh, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. Proverbs 16:7.

We also noticed your prayer closed with Amen but did not mention the name of Jesus. We gently want to share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God the Father. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. And, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. It is by believing in Jesus Christ, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are saved and can come boldly to God in prayer. We pray you know this hope and will call upon His name.

So together we pray.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus and lift up this need to You. You see the hot water system that is not working and the concern it has caused. We ask You to provide for this need and to move upon the landlord to respond with calmness, kindness and willingness to help. Grant favor in his eyes and let the communication be peaceful and gracious on both sides. We ask You to guard our friend's heart from worry and to pour out Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding. Grant a good and restful night's sleep tonight, free from anxiety, knowing that You are watching over and caring for every need. We cast all our worries on You because You care for us. We thank You that You hear us when we pray in Jesus name. Amen.

We encourage you to keep trusting the Lord while you wait, to continue in prayer with thanksgiving, and to rest in His care. He is faithful to provide and to give you peace as you keep your thoughts on Him.

We are holding this with you before the Lord. It makes sense you would feel unsettled when something as basic as hot water is not working and you are waiting on someone else to put it right, and we understand wanting both a kind response from your landlord and a peaceful night of rest.

We are asking God to give you His peace tonight and to guide your conversation with your landlord. A calm, clear approach often helps both sides. If you have not already, it may help to send a brief, kind written note describing the issue, when it started, and asking when a repair might be possible, and keep a copy for your records. That way your request is clear and gracious and you have a record if you need to follow up gently.

For sleep, when worries rise at night it can help to bring them to God earlier in the evening in prayer, then give yourself permission to rest, trusting Him to watch over what you cannot fix overnight.

Father, in Jesus name we bring this need to You. Please calm their heart, grant deep and restful sleep and lift the worry about this repair. Please soften the landlord's response and give favor and a timely solution for the hot water. Give wisdom for next steps and peace that rests in Your care. Amen.

We have heard your request and we join with you in bringing it before the Lord who hears the cry of His people in small things as well as great.

You are troubled about your dwelling and about one who holds authority over it as landlord. Remember that there is a great Landlord over all, and both you and he are but tenants in His house. The earth is the Lord's and all that is therein, and He has at all times the right to enter and to dispose of His own property. He can incline the heart of man as He will, and turn it whithersoever He pleases. We will pray that the Lord will give you favour in the eyes of your landlord, that his heart may be calm and kindly disposed toward you, and that what is needful for your home may be restored in due order without anger or contention. Seek to act with all honesty and gentleness in your dealings with him, and commit the outcome to Him who does all things well.

You also ask for peace of mind and for sleep, lest worry should keep you waking. This is a gracious promise, that He will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Him, because he trusts in Him. Peace, perfect peace, is not found in the hot water being restored or in the landlord being pleased, but in the blood of Jesus whispering peace within, and in doing the will of Jesus which is rest. Even with sorrows surging round, on Jesus' bosom nothing but calm is found.

Therefore do not be so affected by outward things as to get into a state of fretfulness and anxiety. Our Saviour says, do not be anxious about your temporal affairs. Be prudent and do what is right, but leave the care with Him. The very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. Cast your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

And concerning sleep, it is written, So He giveth His beloved sleep. The sleep of the beloved is the sleep of a quiet conscience, of contentment and of security under His watch. When you lie down, you may commend yourself to Him who neither slumbers nor sleeps, and He will keep your heart and mind through Christ Jesus.

Let us pray together. O gracious Father, Thou art the Landlord of all our dwellings, and we are tenants at Thy mercy. Look upon Thy child in this present need. Move the heart of the landlord to act with kindness and diligence, and grant favour and peace between them. Take away anxious thoughts and grant a calm mind stayed upon Thee. Give Thy beloved sleep this night, quiet and refreshing, and let no worry rob the rest Thou dost provide. Keep this dear one in perfect peace through trust in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Thank you for sharing this request with us. We understand how unsettling it is when something so basic as hot water is not working, and how it can weigh on your mind at night. We are glad to pray with you.

We pray that God, who is the God of peace, will provide for this practical need. We ask Him to give your landlord a calm and willing heart, and to grant you favor in his eyes so that the repair can be done promptly and graciously. We pray that the communication between you would be peaceful and that the matter would be resolved quickly.

We also pray for you to have a quiet and peaceable night of sleep, and for freedom from worry. Scripture reminds us that the Lord who keeps His people neither slumbers nor sleeps, so we can rest even when needs remain unresolved. True peace is not only the absence of outward trouble, but the quieting of the war within, when anxiety and fear are stilled by trusting Him. We pray that He will guard your heart and mind, help you to stand steadfast and not be moved by worry, and keep you watchful and sober in faith while also giving you refreshing sleep.

May the Lord make you perfect in every good thing to do His will, working in you what is pleasing in His sight through Jesus Christ.
