Sleep and rest...total peace in my neighbourhood

Natasha 2

Beloved of All
Catching up sleep today and tomorrow. I had exhausting week with not much time for sleeping (work in another city, sick mother, 1 hobby against stress)

Also this weekend TOTAL PEACE in my building, my neighbourhood and in my area. Amen!! No parties, no restlessness, no construction or other works. Let them do this when i am not home through the week IN JESUS NAME!

We join you in prayer for deep and restorative rest and for total peace over your building and neighborhood this weekend in Jesus' name.

We understand how exhausting this past week has been for you, working in another city, caring for your sick mother, and trying to find even a little time to manage stress. God sees your diligence and your weariness, and He desires to give you rest. For it is written, It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil, for he gives sleep to his loved ones Psalm 127:2. And Jesus invites us, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28. We thank God that you have called upon the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and find true peace.

We also lift up your mother to the Lord for healing and strength, and we pray that God will sustain you as you honor and care for her. We pray that your hobby may be a healthy refreshment but that your deepest renewal will come from waiting on the Lord.

We pray together for your request for quiet and peace.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You and lift up our dear one who is weary and in need of sleep. Lord, grant deep, uninterrupted, and healing sleep today and tomorrow. Let Your peace guard heart and mind and body. We claim Your promise, I will both lay me down and sleep in peace, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety Psalm 4:8. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard this home Philippians 4:7.

We ask for Your hand over this building, this neighborhood, and this whole area this weekend. Lord, You are the One who makes us to dwell in safety and You keep in perfect peace those whose minds are stayed on You Isaiah 26:3. We ask that You would restrain parties, restlessness, construction and any other disturbance, and grant total peace and quiet while Your child is home to rest. If it is Your will, let any necessary work be done while they are away during the week. We also pray for the neighbors, that You would bless them and draw them to know Your peace as well, for You give strength to Your people and You bless Your people with peace Psalm 29:11.

We pray for renewed strength for the week ahead, for grace to balance work and caregiving without being overwhelmed, and for Your healing touch upon this beloved mother. We trust that even if some noise should come, You can still grant inward stillness and restorative sleep that only You can give.

We thank You, Father, that You hear us when we pray in Jesus' name, and we rest in Your goodness and mercy. Amen.

We hear how worn out you are after this week, working in another city, caring for your sick mother, and trying to keep up even one hobby to handle the stress. It makes sense you are longing for a couple of days to simply catch up on sleep and have quiet around you.

When life stays that full for days at a time, our bodies and minds don't get the recovery they need. Sleep isn't a luxury then, it is part of how God restores us, and wanting real rest and a peaceful home is a good and legitimate need.

For this weekend, we encourage you to give yourself clear permission to rest. If you can, set a simple wind-down boundary tonight and tomorrow, phones and screens off a little earlier, lights low, and a quiet plan for the morning so you don't have to rush. If noise in the building has been an issue before, a small practical help like earplugs or gentle background sound can sometimes protect that sleep window while you pray for quiet.

We are joining you in asking for that calm in your building and neighborhood.

Father, thank You for seeing how hard this week has been. We ask in Jesus' name for deep, restoring sleep for our friend today and tomorrow, for Your peace to settle over their building and area this weekend, and for renewed strength as they continue to care for their mother and carry their work. Guide them to the rest they need and keep them in Your care. Amen.

It is a merciful provision of our God that you have brought your weariness before Him, for sleep is the gift of God. We think that we lay our heads upon our pillows and compose our bodies in a peaceful posture and therefore we naturally and necessarily sleep, but it is not so. The Lord must give it, for so He giveth His beloved sleep.

There is a sleep of contentment which the Christian enjoys, and a sleep of security, when the soul rests not in walls and doors but in the keeper of Israel who neither slumbers nor sleeps. What a blessing this sleep is to the poor weary frame and to the throbbing brain. Well was it written, tired nature's sweet restorer, balmy sleep. In it the prisoner forgets his manacles for a season, and the weary labourer is recruited for fresh exercise of his faculties when he awakes.

I pray that the Lord will grant you this refreshing gift in these days you have set aside for rest. May He spread His hand over you and give you deep and undisturbed slumber to recruit your exhausted strength, after this exhausting week of labour in another city and care for your sick mother. May He lay His healing hand upon your mother and sustain you as you honour her in her sickness, and give you wisdom to use even your lawful recreation against stress in a way that refreshes the body without wearying the soul.

And concerning the peace of your building and neighbourhood, we ask the Lord who commands both wind and wave to grant you quietness this weekend. May He in His providence restrain all needless noise, parties and restlessness and the sound of construction, that you may enjoy the stillness you desire. Yet if in His wisdom He permits any disturbance to continue, may He give you that inward rest which does not depend upon outward silence, to sleep securely because you sleep in Jesus and are kept by Him.

Wonder not if recovery should be slow, and as you grow a little stronger and a little stronger, acknowledge in each increase of strength that the Lord has a new claim upon your affection. May He fit you by this rest for fresh service, and keep you waking unto prayer and watchfulness toward the things of His kingdom, while you receive with thankfulness the bodily rest He so freely gives to His beloved. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who is our peace and our rest. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
